On behalf of the entire Carlisle Events
team, welcome to Carlisle Performance &
Style 2011 and thank you for being a part
of one of the largest, if not THE largest,
import tuner/modern custom events in
the country! Performance & Style (P&S)
is not just a car show but a weekend-long
celebration of the import tuner/modern
custom hobby. I think you will find that
to be the case again this year with a
weekend full of activities, stunt shows,
PATRICK LEMAY, EVENT MANAGER
special displays, competitions and special guests.
Additions to this year ‘s event include special guest Vaughn Gittin Jr., 2010 Formula
Drift Champion, Best-of-Carlisle and Carlisle Elite top-flight cash prizes, legendary motorcycle stunt team - the StarBoyz, a parked-by-class judged showfield, remote control
drifting and a Euro/Stance indoor invitational display.
Past favorites returning this year include the ICE House – displaying custom vehicles with a focus on in-car-entertainment, NICOFest autocross racing and drifting, the
Manufacturers Midway and Swap Meet vending areas and the famous Carlisle burnout
and bikini contests.
Of course this isn’t all the weekend will have to offer. Be sure to check out the schedule of events listed on pages 2-6.
Last year, our theme for P&S was “The Movement is Still Alive” in reference to the
hobby not only being alive and well but also that you as enthusiasts are just as passionate about your cars and the scene as ever before and you proved it with over 1,600
cars on the P&S showfield! As much as the activities, displays, competitions and special
guests add to the excitement of this weekend; the event is still about you and your
passion for self-expression, performance, competition and the opportunity to spend
time with like-minded people.

AUTOCROSS
AND DRIFTING ••••••••••••••••••••
NICOclub.com, the largest and most
comprehensive online resource for Nissan, Infiniti and
Datsun enthusiasts will once
again
hold
their
annual
NICOfest here. They host autocross racing and drift exhibitions throughout the
weekend on the track. All autocross track
time is presented by NICO; donation fee
and spec inspection apply.
DRIFTSYLVANIA R/C DRIFTING •••
As the sport of drifting took the U.S.A.
by storm in the
last
decade,
it was only
natural for the
hobby of R/C
drifting to follow. Driftsylvania, a group
of friends who shared the same hobby
started a group to put the East Coast
on the R/C drifting map. Driftsylvania
is hosting both competitive drifting as
well as demonstrations. They’ll even give
you the chance to test your skills whipping their custom electric drift-built cars
around the Pavilion.

RAP BATTLE &
HIP HOP SHOWCASE •••••••••••••
Big Mike, from 99.3 KISS FM, will be hosting the second annual Carlisle Rap Battle
on SATURDAY ON THE TUNED IN T STAGE. The
battle will take place over two rounds
(first round at 1 p.m. and the finals at
6 p.m.) with the winner taking home
$100 cash and an invitation to do a live
demo as part of the 2012 Carlisle Hip
Hop Showcase. No pre-registration is required. Only the first 12 competitors to
sign up will be eligible to compete. Register at Guest Services. During intermission of the rap battle, we’ll host the first
ever Carlisle Hip Hop Showcase. See Mr.

with the Xtreme Wheelie Ride Machine.
The Wheelie Machine is equipped with
a sport bike attached to a specially designed braking system that creates a
similar feel of the street and allows you
to experience a wheelie. Saturday only fee applies.
NJ BIKINI TEAM •••••••••••••••••••
The hotties of the NJ Bikini Team will be
rocking Carlisle
with a charity
bikini car wash
with proceeds
benefiting the
Humane Society of Harrisburg. The event will take
place Saturday and Sunday mornings.
The best ladies the “dirty jerz” has to offer
will also be on the Manufacturers Midway all weekend signing autographs of
their latest poster and meeting with fans.
AUDIO COMPETITIONS •••••••••••
Adrenaline Audio is Maryland’s premier
car audio competition presenter and will
be hosting certified Db Drag,
Bass Race and
N.S.P.L. competitions on Saturday and
Sunday. Registration for the 3x competitions and grudge matches will be done
on-site and all audio competitors must
be registered for the judged or nonjudged showfield.
LOWEST CAR & TRUCK LIMBO••••
We will have a vehicle limbo bar set-up in
multiple increments. Each car and truck
must make their way under the bar without smoking tires and without knocking
the limbo bar over. The last vehicle not
to knock off the limbo bar wins! Pre-
registration
is required at
Guest Services.
A show sticker
(i.e. registered
for vending or
showfield), driver’s license and proof of
insurance are required. Lowest car and
truck limbos are limited to five contestants each.
BURNOUT CONTEST ••••••••••••••
No Carlisle event would be complete
without
the
b u r n o u t
contest. Preregistration
is required at
Guest Services.
A show sticker (i.e. registered for vending
or Showfield), driver’s license and proof
of insurance are required. Participants
are limited to 10 vehicles and 3 minutes
each.
MS. CARLISLE CONTEST ••••••••••
Contestants for Ms. Carlisle compete
for cash prizes
on
Saturday
evening
at
the
grandstand. Ladies
must register
at Guest Services by the HOT 92 Stage.
Must be 18 with valid ID. Complete rules
and contest format are available on registration form.
LEDGLOW NEON CONTEST ••••••••
LEDGlow Lighting, known worldwide for
exceptionally
designed and
ground-breaking LED vehicle
lighting
systems, will host
and judge the
LEDGlow Neon
contest Saturday night. Sign-up for the
competition at the LEDGlow booth on
the Midway.
STANCE-STANCE REVOLUTION •••
The
newest
“trend” to hit
the show scene is stance-built wheel fitment cars. The guys at Low Life & Junk
Style don’t see it as a trend though because they have been rolling low all
along. Building, owning and living the
stance lifestyle has always been something they did and now they’re sharing
their passion and cars with us.
JUDGED SHOWFIELD ••••••••••••••
The judged showfield returns to a
parked-byclass
format
this year. The
judges will be
able to compare competiing vehicles while you get to be side-byside with your competition. JUDGING
WILL TAKE PLACE ON SATURDAY ONLY
10 a.m. - 5 p.m.. Each car owner will
have five minutes with the judges to talk
about their vehicle and the work that
went into their build.
Winner’s lists will be available at
10 a.m. Sunday morning at the Goody
Bag Garage. Winners must check in to
join the parade or to pick up their award.
If you cannot attend the event on Sunday, your award may be shipped to you
for a $10 fee or picked up at our office
during regular business hours or at any
future event.
The decisions of the judges are final.
All judging sheets become the property
of the judging team and WILL NOT be
returned following the judging process.
If you have questions concerning the results, please see a member of the judging team at the Goody Bag Garage or
Carlisle Events staff member before you
leave the fairgrounds.

VAUGHN GITTIN JR. & CARLISLE ELITE
Vaughn Gittin Jr., 2010 Formula Drift
Champion, has become one of drifting’s
most iconic figures. Vaughn’s passion for
motorsports started early in his life. He
began racing go-carts and riding dirt
bikes in his hometown of Mayo, Maryland located just south of Annapolis at
the age of four.
Vaughn has come a long way from racing go-karts to become one of drifting’s
most recognizable figures. His machine,
the Monster Energy/Falken Tire Ford Racing Mustang, is one of the sport’s most
identifiable cars. Vaughn is known best
by his aggressive, foot-to-the-floor, bigsmoke driving style.
In addition to his 2010 Formula D title, Vaughn is the only American to ever
win a D1 Grand Prix event, not once –
but twice. In 2005, Vaughn stunned the
world when he won the D1GP USA vs.
Japan. In 2007, he brought home the
gold to America once more by winning
the D1GP World Championship. He has
achieved three wins and multiple podiums throughout his Formula Drift career.
For the 2010 season, Vaughn made the
switch over to a 2011 Monster Energy/
Falken Tire Ford Mustang. When the season ended, Vaughn had reached the podium at an incredible six out of seven Formula Drift events. He started the season
off with a Round 1 win in Long Beach and
then took second place at both Round 2
in Atlanta and Round 3 in New Jersey. At
Round 5 in Las Vegas, he took third place
atop the Falken Tire podium sweep and
at Round 6 in Sonoma, he once again
took the win. At the final event of the
season, at Irwindale Speedway, Vaughn
took the second place spot, securing his
overall season title, a goal Vaughn has
chased for the past seven years.
In 2010 Vaughn launched his brand for
a new generation of Mustang, the RTR.
The Mustang RTR has been Vaughn’s vision for years that just recently came to
reality. It is a dealer-installed package for
the 2011 Ford Mustang GT V-8, available

Vaughn Gittin Jr.’s talents have grown
tremendously since his early days of
drifting, but he still feels the same rush of
adrenaline, adventure and challenge every time he enters a turn and throws his
Mustang sideways. Be sure to check out

track, driving a new Ford Mustang RTR
on SATURDAY AT 1 P.M. and the grand finale STUNT-OFF WITH THE STARBOYZ AT
5 P.M. Between drifting, VAUGHN WILL

sign autographs and answer questions.

judging will allow the “best-of-Carlisle”
from both the invitational displays and
the judged showfield to compete headto-head for five cash prizes and seven

Carlisle Elite Awards. You’ll find some of
the best cars, teams and builders from up
and down the east coast battling it out
in the indoor buildings but that doesn’t
mean one of the cars from the judged
showfield can’t take home a title! Indoor
judging will take place on Saturday afternoon starting at noon and outdoor
judged showfield cars will be considered
for the Best-of-Carlisle and Elite awards
throughout the weekend, with final outdoor Elite judging being done on Sunday
from the Winner’s Field.

This weekend you will see seven vehicles on display in the Building T “Tuned
in T” Invitational Display and on the
Manufacturers Midway that show the
newest trends in modification. This past
November, they debuted at the 2010
Specialty Equipment Manufacturers Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas.

Carlisle Events is excited to welcome the
dedicated, fun and enthusiastic Scikotics
car club. With members and chapters up
and down the east coast, they’re here to
be part of the first annual Scikotics Ward
@ Carlisle Performance & Style gathering.
Scikotics (a variation of ‘Psychotics’ pronounced sigh-kaw-tiks) is a Scion owners
club started in 2005 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Today, Scikotics has
over 70 chapters
stretching
across
the U.S.A. and is the
largest non-profit
Scion owners club in the world.
Scikotics is unique because of a shared
message board. On the Scikotics.com
forums, all chapters have their own area
to post local events and have conversations, but there are many common areas
for members to chat about anything,
whether its Scion related or not. This
leads to a large sense of community with
members from around the nation.
Another important part of the club is
supporting other Scikotics clubs. If a club
is having a car show or event, an effort
is made by most, if not all other Scikotics clubs in the area to go to the show or
event to support their fellow Scikotics.
This year, we’ve teamed up with the York,
Reading and Lehigh Valley Chapters to
spread the message about the first annual Scikotics of PA Ward @ Carlisle gathering. They are so appreciative to those
chapters for all of their help and hope to
see this first-time event grow into a huge
gathering of Scion enthusiasts at P&S in
the coming years!!!
Scikotics all over the country and
Scion owners in general are very much
an example of the
Carlisle Events slogan which reads,
“The Cars. The
People. The Excitement.” Scikotics are some of the most
passionate people about their CARS,
they are all about getting together with
PEOPLE who share their EXCITEMENT not
only for the Scions but for cruising, showing and hanging out with other Scikotics.
Our hope is that Performance & Style
will become that get-together event
home for the Northeastern Chapters,
which include: Pennsylvania, New Jersey,
Maryland, Virginia, Connecticut, West Virginia and New England. Scikotics members and chapters will be taking over the
north end of the Pavilion this weekend,
located just across from the exclusive
Scion-only showfield and alongside R/C
drifting this weekend. Be sure to stop by

family led the concessions on the fairgrounds. We sincerely appreciate all their
hard work providing a variety of great
food and beverages for our car show
guests for more than three decades.
We welcome all our new and returning
concessionaires for 2011. You will find a
wide variety of menu selections and
Pepsi products. Enjoy!
