Impulse achieves increased activity by maximizing the amount
of catalytically most active mixed Molybdenum/Nickel or
Molybdenum/Cobalt sites by:
» Improved promotion
» The occurrence of inactive species
on the catalyst surface is minimized.
Thus, more Cobalt or Nickel atoms
are available for incorporation into
the edges of MoS2 slabs. More metal
atoms in MoS2 edges, by definition,
means an increased amount of mixed,
highly active sites.
