A lovely May 15-17 weekend for 17 members and a
guest to enjoy Around Pond, Baileyton, the Iris
Festival in Greeneville; an interesting restaurant in
the oldest stone house in Tennessee — Amis Mill
Eatery in Rogersville, some reading, and a nap
before the rain.

Few bites and definitely not from a big one for the
fishing poles of Freida, Jerome, and Hunter Rogers.
The men's breakfast for the ladies, under the direction
of Johnny Branum, tasted especially good in the
large outdoor pavilion.
Locally grown, fresh
strawberries topped it all off.

Friday night's Social Hour and Saturday's potluck
went well with Wagners, Warwicks, and
Hammonds hosting.

With our guest, Margaret Scott, we ate, laughed,
bonded, and accepted her as K-Town's newest
member. We immediately liked her and she, us.

It's OK if we don't know how much more we can
handle. It's fine if we don't know what to do next.
Eventually, we will let go of how things should be
and start to see possibilities based on reality. It's a
new chapter in the Book of Life — A new normal.
We must grasp the steering wheel and force ourselves
to pay attention to where we're going and look for
new joys during the ride.

Thermometer — Cooler Temp
A recommendation on the government's food safety
website states, "an Appliance Thermometer takes
the guesswork out of knowing your food is safe to
eat. Put one in your cooler, and make sure it reads
40 °F or below." Don't screw anything up with food
poisoning. Use a thermometer. Cooler is better!
