Sixth Sunday of easter
Welcome to Our New Seminarian
Monsignor Frank welcomes our newest seminarian, Tim
Nadolski. Tim was born in 1988 at Northside Hospital and grew
up in Sandy Springs. After graduating from Saint Jude School,
Tim attended Saint Pius and then went on to Berry College on a
Chick-fil-A Scholarship. According to Tim, he had intended to
have a career with Chick-fil-A working either in the corporate
office or as an Owner/Operator of a store, but the Lord had other plans.
“It was at my time at Berry that I heard the Lord calling me to be a priest,” Tim
said. “I grew much closer to the Lord during that time and really started to
learn more about the faith. I began seriously looking at the priesthood and
decided with the Archdiocese to enter the seminary.”

After his freshman year in college, Tim transferred to the Pontifical College
Josephinum in Columbus, Ohio. On May 31, Tim will be ordained to the
transitional diaconate right here at the Cathedral. In August, he will return for
his final year of Seminary at the Josephinum and will be ordained a priest at
the Cathedral in June of 2015.
Tim’s interests include aviation, golf, Braves Baseball, movies, and reading.
“I look forward to getting to know the Cathedral parishioners while learning
and serving you alongside Msgr. McNamee, the other clergy, and the office
staff this summer,” Tim added.
Please help us welcome Tim!
Dear Monsignor Frank,
Your generosity throughout the year and your kind Ash Wednesday gift
has sustained us as we continue our outreach. On behalf of our parish
community I want to thank you for the Cathedral’s continued financial
and spiritual support of our St. Francis Table. The needs of the hungry
and homeless are great and we cannot serve them without the support of
parishes like yours.
Many blessings to you and to your members who have placed others’
needs above their own.
Peace in Christ Risen,
Monsignor Henry C. Gracz, Pastor

Every year throughout the land, thousands of people set about to do
something amazing – they take time from their busy lives to serve their
parishes as catechists. The Parish School of Religion was blessed to have over
100 catechists serving the faith formation program on Sunday mornings. We
take a moment to recognize the people who have shared their faith and their
lives with over 700 children of our parish.

community of Christ the King

CKS Muffins for Moms
Christ the King Kindergarten Moms were celebrated in May with a morning
breakfast in their honor. Each Kindergarten student worked all year preparing a
“Mommy Book” as a keepsake for their mother. The books were shared with all
the mothers at this special breakfast, with lots of laughs and even a few tears!
Kudos go out to Kindergarten teachers and their assistants for compiling a year of
individual drawings, growth statistics, and even some heart warming or comical
facts about the moms.

PRAYING PACEM IN TERRIS: Today,
on the contrary the conviction is
widespread that all men are equal in
natural dignity; and so, on the
doctrinal and theoretical level, at
least, no form of approval is being
given to racial discrimination. All this
is of supreme significance for the
formation of a human society
animated by the principles We have
mentioned above, for man's
awareness of his rights must
inevitably lead him to the recognition
of his duties. The possession of rights
involves the duty of implementing
those rights, for they are the
expression of a man's personal
dignity. And the possession of rights
also involves their recognition and
respect by other people.

Bienvenida a nuestro nuevo Seminarista

respetarlos.

de Atlanta.

WELCOME FROM THE PASTOR AND
CATHEDRAL STAFF
Dear Friends in Christ,
On behalf of Archbishop Wilton Gregory, the Clergy and
staff, I welcome you to the Cathedral of Christ the King. I
hope and pray that you feel welcomed by our parish
community and that your spiritual and pastoral needs will
be met.
We are a very active parish with 5,500 families and over one
hundred ministries. We encourage our members to share
their gifts of time, talent and treasure.
Our mission statement is to “Know, Love and Serve as Jesus
Did”. This is the mission of each disciple of Christ and, if
you are new, I hope and pray that you will join us and be
part of the community of Christ the King. If you are passing
through or visiting the city of Atlanta, I hope you enjoy your
worship experience and please visit us again.
If you would like to know more about our parish, you can
visit our website at www.cathedralofchristtheking.org or
email us.
May we, this day and all the days of our lives, know, love
and serve as Jesus did.
Prayers and Blessings,
Msgr. Frank McNamee, Rector
