Explore the world’s most famous and most dangerous ski run.
Come into almost physical contact with the daredevil ski heroes
as they emerge at high speed from the start house and head
down towards the Mausefalle, reaching speeds of 100 km/h
after just 160 m or 8.5 seconds. From the start house, you have
impressive views of the world’s most daring downhill run. Tour
with disabled access from Hochkitzbühel via the start house
through the Märchenwald (Fairytale Woods) and back.

ON THE KITZBÜHELER HORN
HORNGIPFEL – ALPINE FLOWER GARDEN
(ALPENBLUMENGARTEN) Walking time: 45 mins.
Take the cable car to the Horngipfel, then walk through the Alpine
Flower Garden and continue further downhill to the Alpenhaus
cable car station – or just walk uphill from the Alpenhaus.
KARST WALKING TRAIL
From the Trattalmmulde (10 mins from the Alpenhaus down
into the valley) a lovingly prepared 2.4 km path reveals the
unique karst geology found on the Kitzbüheler Horn. You reach
the “Egglhöhe” via some impressive viewpoints.
The “Weanerstadt” provides an impressive insight into the history
of the earth’s geology with its “ponors” (cave-like structures) –
taking you back to an era that preceded the dinosaurs.
This circular route is suitable for all and takes between
1.5 hrs. and 2.5 hrs. to complete, its reward being a very special
encounter with nature.

This route follows romantic alpine footpaths and passes delightful
traditional mountain huts. For the opening hours of the huts, please
see the general information notice displayed at the cable car stations.

NO. 24 MOUNTAIN LAKE TOUR TO THE PENGELSTEIN
Walking time: approx. 3 hrs. (round trip walk)
This walk is along well secured trails from the Hahnenkammbahn
cable car top station to the Ehrenbachhöhesee lake, then
on via Hochbrunn to the Pengelsteinsee lake and the Usterkarsee
lake (south of the Pengelstein Restaurant). The views are truly
spectacular. Either continue to the Schwarzkogel (descent to
Aschau) or to the Skirast.
Walking time for the round trip Resterkogel
– Panoramaalm: approx. 2 hrs.
The national park panoramic viewpoint offers a fascinating

For walkers with extra stamina, we recommend continuing further on to the Zweitausender via the Trattenbachgraben and down to the “Jochberg-Wald” bus stop.
There are several options if you wish to continue or you can
return to the starting point. Either come down into the
Spertental valley (Skirast or Reiserer), continue hiking via
the Brechhornhaus to Westendorf (Alpenrosenbahn
cable car) or return to the Gaisberg chair lift.

PANORAMA CIRCULAR TRAIL
Panorama circular trail, walking time: 1.5–2 hrs.
Admire the spectacular panorama from the famous Hahnenkamm as you take the beautifully designed circular tour. The
four viewpoints provide impressive all-round views. Whether
you start from one of the top stations for the Hahnenkammbahn
cable car or the Fleckalmbahn cable car, you can look forward
to some fantastic panoramic views along the sky line. As
imposing as the panoramic views is the cooling freshness
of the Ehrenbachhöhesee lake (with Kneipp baths).

THE FLECKALM TRAIL – TYROL’S LONGEST SINGLE TRAIL
The section from the Ehrenbachhöhe promises not only
unlimited trail-riding fun but, being 7.5 km in length and
dropping 1,000 m altitude metres , counts as the Tyrol’s
longest single trail. Following old footpaths and forest tracks,
the trail offers exciting downhills and some fabulous views.

Bergbahn Kitzbühel is Austria’s first cable car company to work
with geocaching.com and to offer the opportunity to enjoy this
new and exciting activity in the natural environment of the
Alpine mountains. More than 20 geocaches are already in
