Trumpet Bell Comparison
Bb Bells
We offer three different Bb trumpet bells. Their profiles vary widely and each offers unique acoustical characteristics.
Bell 14
Bell 17
Bell 12
Bell 12: This one-piece bell has the smallest profile from stem to flare, sometimes referred to a narrow throat. In
style this bell is most similar to a classic Benge bell. It offers the player a bright and fluid response.
Bell 14: Designed by Fred Powell, bell 14 is our most contemporary one-piece bell with the widest profile. It
produces a big sound with dark overtones.
Bell 17: Bell 17 is modeled on the highly successful one-piece Bb bell for the Sonaré trumpet. Its intermediate
profile is similar to a traditional Bach 37 style. This bell is very flexible and can be used for jazz or classical performances.
All three bells are offered in yellow brass or sterling silver.
