Linking Partners With Tools For Success
STRAIGHT TALK FROM STEVE
As we gather to celebrate the Christmas season, I want to thank you for helping Settlers Life enjoy another
terrific year. Selling final expense is not as easy as some think it is. You know that firsthand. You may leave
your home four or five days a week in search of the income necessary to live your life. You may be newly
married, have kids in school or taking care of a parent or loved one. You battle rain, snow, ice, and even
yourself in pursuit of your final expense career. For all of your sacrifice and for helping your clients plan with
Settlers Life, I want to say THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! for a wonderful 2014.
What’s coming in 2015?
THE LINK

2014
$20 Per App
In 2015, here is what you have to look forward to with Settlers Life:
Spartan Program - We will reward the “best of
the best” with a free, subsidized or financed lead
program. Producers can get leads financed and
subsidized with as little as $5,000/month in production.
Producers doing $180,000 in production will receive
free leads. Additional perks of the program include
free Settlers clothing and other corporate gear and
much more! More information to come in January.
Partner Advisory Board - Your performance
and standing as a partner could earn you a seat on
Settlers Life’s governing board to help shape the
current and future direction of the company. You will
receive a flyer highlighting the program later this
month. The Partner Advisory Board consists of 6
producing agents and 6 producing agencies.
Enhanced Expedition 2 Excellence
Program - If you are new to Settlers, in your first 12
months selling with us, we’ll reward you with new and
exciting gifts and recognition as you achieve production
milestones culminating in a romantic log cabin getaway
for you and your spouse.
2016 Sales Conference - We’ll let you know
the first week in January 2015, but this world class
destination will have your spouse and family begging
for you to win. And we’re still keeping $40,000 as the
minimum production requirement to win our trip, the
lowest in the final expense industry. Settlers Life’s
incentive trips are unlike any in our space. Our trips
are like family reunions and when you win one, you’ll
be striving to win year after year.
New product, new territories - Settlers Life
will release an upgraded final expense product in 2015
that makes our offering the best in our class. We’ll be
increasing our face amount on our Gold Plan from
$35,000 to $50,000. We’ve removed our seldom used
Child Term Life Rider and included a new Child/
Grandchild benefit that will provide to a policyholder
a one-time $5,000 death benefit in case their child or
grandchild between the ages of 6 months and 18
years, were to pass away. This is a free benefit and
will be included in every policy. We will also increase
the age of our Bronze offering from age 75 to age 80.
Better yet, we’ll be opening up the Northeast US to
new sales and looking to expand our national footprint.
And we’re still the only final expense company in the
US helping you, your clients, and their families before,
during and after death with our Covered! benefit.
We know there are a lot of companies selling final expense. Commission, rate, underwriting, and trips are
no doubt important to you. But as you wind down 2014 and gear up for a record 2015, I’ll leave you with
this one question…Who wants to be and who is committed to be your final expense partner, not just another
carrier, in 2015?
As always, you can call me, text me, or email me. Our entire company exists for you and because of you.
Merry Christmas and May God Bless you and your families with a joyful and prosperous 2015!

Effective immediately, Settlers Life will require that you complete a Point of Sale or Enhanced Point of
Sale telephone interview for all Gold, Silver, and Silver II plans. Completing the POS or EPOS interview
while you are with the client will expedite the processing of your new business applications!

On weekends, after hours, or if all representatives are busy when you call, please leave your name,
writing number, your client’s name, phone number, and the plan of insurance you have written and one of
the interviewers will call your client and complete the interview. If you are not able to complete a POS or
