Atlantis is an iconic 5 star hotel and resort situated on the Palm, a man-made in Dubai.
The resort is home to Dolphin Bay, a marine attraction and dolphin experience, and
Aquaventure, Dubai’s largest waterpark
Featuring unique attractions such as The Leap of Faith, a 9 story near-vertical water slide, and
Poseidon’s Revenge, one of the world’s first trap-door water rides, Aquaventure at Atlantis
The Palm is one of the most popular water park attractions worldwide.

The Brief
As a well-known premium resort, Atlantis
needed a range of photography products and
merchandise that reflected the luxury values of
their brand. Photography around the resort was
disjointed and needed bringing up to the resort’s
high standard of quality.
Our client, Picsolve, one of the world’s leading
walkabout and ride photography companies,
were appointed to develop a new image capture
and photography product offering for the
resort.
Katapult worked with Picsolve to create key
messaging and materials for their photo
experiences at Atlantis The Palm Hotel & Resort
in Dubai, which includes the Dolphin Bay marine
attraction and the Aquaventure waterpark.

After numerous site visits, we worked closely
with the marketing teams at both Atlantis
and Picsolve to develop a range of premium
photo experience products for Dolphin Bay,
Aquaventure and the Resort including DVD
packaging, photo presentation folders and
custom designed USBs.

Premium Albums
In 2012 Picsolve won the tender for Ride,
Experience and Walkabout Photography at
Atlantis the Palm, Dubai.
This involved a full technical and retail
switchover within a short timescale.
Katapult conducted a number of a site visits,
meetings with the Atlantis, The Palm brand
team and established the design and product
requirements. Concepts were developed, shared
for sign off and were very positively received.
Contact was made with local suppliers for
the production and install of POS materials.
Design materials were created in both English,
Arabic and Russian. Templates were created
for the promotional packages so these
could be easily edited by the staff on site,
by changing price points and products
from the assets we provided.

With a clear understanding of the customer
experience, we produced POS materials
including promotional counter stands, queue
signage and product POS to develop a retail
journey for the attraction and drive sales.
This included development of messaging to
merchandise the products and packages on
offer as well as Arabic and Russian translations.
