Young people from 13 to 30 years old: school pupils, students local as well as international.
We also actively cooperate with other NGOs (such as Human Rights Movement), educational
establishments (local universities, educational and cultural centres) and local municipality (natural
preserves, museums and youth centres).

Educational extra-curricular activities for teenagers: intercultural learning classes, anti-fascist
lectures and actions, international youth exchanges.

international voluntary
camps in summer 2015
in RUSSIA
In our camps international volunteers will always meet local volunteers. Each camp has 2 local
group leaders. Volunteers don’t work more than 30 hours per week. Organisers provide sightseeing
programme and excursions. Volunteers eager to visit Moscow or St.-Petersburg have to plan it before or
after camp days – we don’t plan visits to cities further than 200 km of the camp location away.
International voluntary camp is not a language course and not a tourist travel. It is voluntary
contribution to the local community and intercultural exchange.
Spoken language in international groups: Russian and English.
Camp: PZ-01 Don meadow
Dates: 15.07.-28.07.2015
Group size: 8 vols (4M+), age: 18+
Participation fee: no fee, but participants will be asked to partly cover expenses for leisure activities and
excursions (within 30 Euro per person)
Project:
The project aim is to support rural tourism and entrepreneurship of elderly people in a rural area. The
voluntary camp targets to help 2 old ladies to promote their local museum of traditional rural household
and to clean touristic routes. The collection of the museum reflects arts of traditional Russian life, local
costumes, habits and handcrafts. Volunteers will learn a lot about the way of life in Russian village and its
ethnographical heritage.
Work:
Group of international volunteers will clean the territory of the museum, such as cutting bushes, weeds,
cleaning the area from rubbish, digging holes in the ground, maintain the terrace of the area. The study
part of the voluntary activities will be learning to use materials typical for the local area, such as clay,
stones and straw. Volunteers will learn to make lath fences from wands. They will participate on the
excursions on the local area and in the city Voronezh and they will get knowledge of local ethnography
and history. In the free time volunteers can pick up berries and healthy herbs in local fields and forests.
Location:
30 km away from the city Voronezh (1 mio inhabitants) in a village Tchudovka (for google maps:
Voronezhskaya oblast', Semilukskiy rayon).
Accommodation:
in tents on the area of the museum. Shower is heated from the sun. 10 min walk from the area there is a
lake, where volunteers can swim. Banya – the Russian type of sauna – is available.
Food:
Cooking will be done on the open air oven and in the house of the museums owners.
Study part:
Traditional patchwork, filth work, traditional puppets and dolls. Lath fences.
Leisure: Excursions and day trips will be organized to Voronezh and Divnogorye - a village on the Don
River by the Divnogorye Museum-Preserve, an open air museum full of interesting sites, including the
ruins of a chalk fortress and a cave monastery and church, cut from the side of Chalk cliffs and surrounded
by natural chalk pillars.
Please bring: moskito repellent, musical instruments, sleeping bags and mattresses, your favourite music.
Please don’t bring: laptops and expensive cameras. Motivation letter is required!
Camp: PZ-02 ANIMAL CARE IN A MONASTERY ON DON RIVER
Dates: 15.07.-28.07.2015
Group size: 10 (5M+5F) and 2 campleaders

Project:
Zadonsk monastery is one of the well-known monasteries in Russia. Very often this monastery called
«Russian Jerusalem» because of a lot of pilgrims, who come here for blessing and finding answers for
their questions. Everyone, who gets in this place, always say that it’s incredible fillings to be here. In this
monastery lives very kind and open-minded nun Arsenia (she speaks English fluently and likes traveling),
she took as her service to care about outcast\homeless animals (mostly are cats) and finding for them
new owners.
Work:
Volunteers are invited to complete some manual work and some seasonal agricultural work for the
monastery. Additionally they will help nun Arsenia (a person who takes care about animals) daily to take
care the pets starting from bathing/showering, feeding, health checking the kitties and puppies. Also
volunteer will help in searching new owners and building a special place for animals – an animal shelter.
Volunteers work 5-6 hours per day.
Location:
Zadonsk is a unique place where you can find different attractions. Architecture keeps its charm from 18th
century. There is a river Don passing through the town. Zadonsk, Lipetsk region, is a small town, which
located on the left bank of the Don River, from which it takes its name (literally, "over-the-Don"). Zadonsk
is situated in natural beauty spot and has copious cultural heritage, so it is the best place for finding peace
of mind. There are a lot of sites that will show you the real Russian heartland: city Elets (architecture of
17-18 centuries), recreation centers, where you can play sports and try «rope town», as well as a
landscaped park and the "City of Masters".
Zadonsk is situated 60 km from Lipetsk, 79 km from Voronezh. Nearest airport – Voronezh or Moscow.
Accommodation:
The volunteers will stay in the guest rooms of the Zadonsky monastery. Showers and toilets provided.
Food:
Basic food will be provided from the monastery canteen.
Leisure:
You can have sportive leisure, such as “ropes” and climbing area. There are a lot of museums, pottery
workshops, you can also plunge in real holy spring or swim in Don river and enjoy nature. Excursions and
day trips will be organized to Yelets, Voronezh and “safari park” – a touristic attraction to see traditional
handcrafts, an open air zoo and an open air zone “hanging track”.
Special requirements:
Volunteers have to respect timetable and rules of the orthodox monastery and they have to like animals.
Drinking and smoking is forbidden, loud voices and parties are not welcomed at the place. Female and
male volunteers will live separately even if they live as a couple.
Camp: PZ-03 Summer school for BUDDIES

Participation fee: 80 EUR
Project:
Summer school for BUDDIES is a project for active students from student services and volunteers in international sphere.
Participants of the summer school will exchange best practices of their student services from different countries. They will take part
in workshops. Peer-to-peer learning process will be organized with methods of non-formal education: games, creative tasks and
case studies. The summer school will include participants from all over the world. Voronezh State University is the hosting partner,
it provides trainers and facilitators.
Work:
Volunteers, who attend to join the activity, will have duties to help the organizers of the event with logistics, registration, cleaning,
preparing meals etc. Additionally, there will be some manual work in the garden and in the hosting center: remove woods, repair
some parts of the house, of the gates and make some outdoor and indoor decorations. The group of volunteers will be mixed –
Russian together with international volunteers. There will be a lot of opportunities to be part of workshops and seminars.
Volunteers from international student services are invited to apply for this project.
Location:
The project will run in the most beautiful place of the Black Earth region of European Russia – in the Open-air museum and natural
preserve Divnogorye www.divnogor.ru (which can be translated as “Wonder Mountains”). This place is surrounded by villages, the
next big city (84 000 inhabitants) named Liski. It takes 30 min by train or 1 hour by bus to reach it. A night train from Moscow
brings volunteers directly to Liski. Meeting places for volunteers: Moscow and Liski.
Accommodation:
Volunteers will live in tents. Water for shower will be heated from the sun, the river is 15 min walk from the host house, toilets are
very simple (of the latrine type). Drinking water will be taken from a dwell. There will be 2 local camp leaders, who will support
volunteers with practical issues. On weekends volunteers will go sightseeing.
In case of bad weather there is an opportunity to use the neighbours house. Tents and mattresses provided. It is important that you
bring warm clothes and warm sleeping bag, especially for night. Banya - Russian type of sauna – is available.
Food:
Volunteers will have meals in the canteen nearby.
Study part:
Workshops: leadership/mentorship, intercultural communication, games as a tool of intercultural event, educational system of
Europe and Russia
Leisure:
Excursions and day trips will be organized to natural preserve and open air museum Divnogorye, to the neighbor towns and to the
city Voronezh. Additionally volunteers can swim without any limitations, go fishing, hiking and take sunbaths!
Special requirements:
ML! Experience of mentorship or personal support of international students/volunteers, active participation in organizing
international events is great advantage.
Camp: PZ-04 «KRASDAM» URBAN ART MARATHON
Dates: 03.08-16.08.2015
Group size: 2 vols + local team of volunteers and organisers

Project:
KRASDAM – is an international exchange activity in form of art festival dedicated to urban issues:
urban ecology and space for bicycles, accessibility of city objects for people with limited
opportunities, civil participation and creativity, graffiti and street art. The project runs since 2011 as
an international festival in cooperation with Kunstwerk (Potsdam, Germany).
Work:
Volunteers are invited to take part in the preparation of the festival, meeting guests, translation,
assistance by workshops etc. They will undertake tasks together with local Russian volunteers, but
they won’t be the only foreigners in the project. Participants of the festival will also come from
different countries of the world. Together they will create performances and make workshops. Since
the festival will address ecological issues during the festival programme, participants will join a 5 days
river trip on kayaks with the aim to raise ecological consciousness.
Location:
Krasnoyarsk is a city and the administrative center of Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia, located on the Yenisei
River, Siberia. It is the third largest city in Siberia after Novosibirsk and Omsk, with a population of
more than 1 mio inhabitants. You can reach Krasnoyarsk is on the Trans-Siberian Railway and via
plane (international airport).
The city is notable for its nature landscapes; author Anton Chekhov judged Krasnoyarsk to be the
most beautiful city in Siberia.
Accommodation:
The volunteers will stay in host families . For 5 days they will stay in tents.
Food:
Food will be provided in the host families and in a café together with the festival team.
Learning opportunities:
Volunteers will have an opportunity to take part workshops for restoration of old furniture,
monotyping and other painting and graphic techniques. They will learn about modern art and
contemporary Russian urban life.
Leisure:
The whole project is one big leisure! A 5 days kayak trip is planned (during this trip volunteers will
sleep in tents). Volunteers will live in Krasnoyarsk, which is one on the most beautiful cities of Siberia.
Special requirements:
Volunteers should be able to swim. They have to be nature lovers and be able to complete flexible
tasks. Knowledge of Russian is a great advantage! Please bring swimming suits and mosquito
repellent! And a sleeping bag.
Visa conditions:
We provide volunteers with an invitation and take care about formalities after the arrival of the
volunteer. For more details please contact your sending organisations !
How to participate:
We accept only volunteers with a sending organisation! For most of you it will mean additional fee
of 50-140 Euro, which also means support and stand-by for any of your questions and needs.

PZ-05 Project for groups only!
SCOUT JAMBOREE IN SIBERIA
Dates: 13-27 July 2015
Partner: Jamboree-2015 in Republic of Khakassia is the most expected event of this summer. Jamboree is
gathering – festival of scouts not only from Russia, but from Germany, UK and other country. The goals of
this festival: creating special atmosphere for conversations and effective team works, getting new skills
for every participants and joining all scouts in their team.
Work:
Help the organizers to run the festival activity, welcome guests, translation for international groups etc.
Leisure:
During this camp scouts will visit a lot of touristic, handicraft, creative, regional workshops (rafting
technology, ciphers and secret signs, first aid, swordsmanship, forge and smelting metal, rock painting
and etc.). Passage scout’s paths: rope obstacle course (10-13 steps),ground obstacle (mud, spider webs,
"fox hole" etc., approx. 5-8 steps.), shooting (archery), water area (passing phase on a catamaran),
climbing on natural climbing wall, "Trail of fear" (rocky traverse). Everyone, who passed the paths, will be
awarded badge "Scythian warrior" and test certificate. Also scouts will do social work like restoration of
the monument and installing fences around the obelisk; help older people in the yard, in the garden;
game «Pay it forward» and much more interesting and useful things you will find if decide join to
Jamboree-2015 in Republic of Khakassia.
Location: Republic of Khakassia – one of the most beautiful places in Russia. It’s region of mountains,
lakes, steppes, rivers and valleys. Perfect location for scout’s competitions. 100 km from Abakan and
nearest airport. You can order transfer from airport to the site of the camp.
Food and accommodation: The scouts will live in tents on a dedicated area of the field to them. Each
team equips tourist parking: campfire place, a table with an awning, sink, cesspool (lumber and other
tools provided by the organizers).Showers and toilets provided. Food will be provided.
Language: English
Participation fee: 700 Euro for the group up to 15 participants. Transfers from the airport included,
guidance, visa support and invitations.
