Meet The Advisory Board!

INSIDE THIS ISSUE
From the inception of Heart of Hope, we have been working diligently to build a firm foundation for the ministry and part of
that process has been to partner with people in ways that move us closer to opening the home. We have been building a leadership team
that includes the governing board members, the advisory board and our volunteer board. This quarter we’d like to introduce you to our
Advisory Board.
Nan Magness is a founder of Heart of Hope and was also the founder/Executive Director of the Ark-La-Tex Crisis Pregnancy Center. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She is married to Randy Magness and lives in Shreveport. They have 2 daughters.
Dr. Fred Kinder is an Ob/Gyn with Willis Knighten’s Women’s Health Clinic. He will oversee and care for the young ladies who
live at Heart of Hope. He is married to Danielle Kinder and has 2 daughters.

9th Annual Back in Swing
Joey French is the owner of French Engineering, and is an alumnus of Grawood Christian School. He has been working with Heart
of Hope to get our sewer access and hook up completed. He is married to Carol French and has 2 children.
Dr. Michael Fleming is a Family Practice physician who is retired. He has delivered over 300 babies and seen many young ladies
facing crisis pregnancies. He is married to Sally Fleming and they have 4 children.
Danna Graham is a self-employed CPA, homemaker and mom to 2 daughters. She is involved in several local ministries and is married to Tracy Graham, pastor of Norris Ferry Community Church.
Janet Fowler is a recruiter and volunteer manager for Holy Angels Residential Facility. She has experience in human resource and
management and is actively involved in other benevolent organizations including the American Heart Association and the March of
Dimes.
We are so thankful to have these talented and accomplished people working with us. They are willing to share their expertise with this
growing ministry because they have a heart for life and caring for the unborn and their mothers. If you would like to join with us and

We Have Turned The Corner!
We remain in awe as we move with obedience while
witnessing the faithfulness of God as He makes the
finishing touches on His masterpiece called Heart of Hope.
My smile is big as I think about all that has happened in the three short months
since I joined your team! Our sewer system is only days from being completed.
Interviews are underway to find the house staff God has chosen during this budding season for our home. Thursdays are special to us as we gather together each
week in our Prayer Room from 10 A.M. to Noon praying for God’s wisdom and
direction. It is also a time of great thanksgiving as we remember each of you and
your partnership in the vision of Heart of Hope. We have reached the 1/3 mark
on our One Step Closer Campaign, with total giving topping off this month at
$160,818.00! Now that is a WooHoo moment!
In addition to the above details regarding the progress of the Home, we are
establishing our volunteer base with the same diligence. Our Volunteer Open
House was a great success as several came and acknowledged interest in being our
church and organization liaisons as well as committing to help with our remaining
fundraisers, the Community Carnival and the Back in Swing Golf Tournament
and Clinic benefiting Heart of Hope. We have additional details for these events
in this newsletter and on our website. This year we are adding an Awards Dinner
and Live/Silent Auction to be held the evening after the golf tournament at Fox
Creek Farms. We guarantee great prizes, food and FUN!
While we too sit on the edge of our seats waiting for our first young lady to
grace the halls of Hope, we rest in God’s best for your maternity home. I say
“your maternity home” because it is as much yours as it is ours. So, whether you
are enjoying a nice cup of tea or resting at the end of a long and busy day, we are
standing watch over your Home. You will love what we’ve done with the place!
