Setup Skype
1. Install the latest version of Skype.
You can get the installation
program from the Installation CD.
2. Add a contact by clicking
Contacts->Add a Contact….
If you have subscribed for
SkypeOut service, you can
directly add normal telephone
numbers to the contact list.

3. Assign a unique speed-dial key
to your contacts. Under the
Contacts tab, right-click a contact
and select Set Speed-Dial….
Repeat the steps above for your
other contacts.

Setup Internet Phone Wizard (IPW)
Do not connect IPW to the computer until you have installed the IPW
softwar.
▼ Connect IPW Hardware
1. Setup Phone port.
Connect the phone to the
Phone port with the supplied
telephone line.

2. Setup Line port (Optional).
Connect the Line Port to the Phone Jack on the wall with the
supplied telephone line. There are several connection types
for you to choose from (refer to the APPENDIX).
You must do this step if you want to make normal calls via the
phone connected to the Phone port.
▼ Install IPW Software
1. Insert the Installation CD to the drive. Wait for the welcome
screen to pop up.
2. In the welcome screen, click
Next to continue.
3. Read through the License
Agreement, select I accept
the terms of the license
agreement and click Next to
continue.

4. Choose the destination
location to install the IPW
software. Click Next to
continue.
5. Click Install to install the
program.
6. Follow the instructions to
connect the USB port on the
IPW to that of the computer
with the supplied USB cable.
Click Next to continue.

7. Enter your Email address and
click Next to continue.
8. Read through the instructions
and click Next to continue.
9. Click Finish to finish the
installation.

10 . The program will automatically
launch after the installation.
This process may take
several minutes. Please
select Allow this program
to use Skype in the pop-up
window and then click OK.

Make and Receive Calls Using Internet
Phone Wizard (IPW)
Before using IPW, please make sure that:
1. Your computer has been turned on, connected to the
Internet, and the IPW application is running. You can
see the IPW icon in the system tray after running the
IPW application.
2. The contact you want to call is using Skype at that time.
3. To enable the Smart Dialing feature for SkypeOut, please switch
to the Option tab and select the country/region you are located in.
4. Please refer to the following format to make SkypeOut calls using
Smart Dialing:
1) Suppose you have selected “US” as the country/region
for Smart Dialing.
2) To make a domestic call, please dial:
0+area code + phone number
3) To make an international call, please dial:
00+country code + area code + phone number

A . Make Internet Calls via a Phone Connected to IPW
a. Pick up the handset, press ##
to switch to the Internet Call
mode if you have setup the
Line port. If not, you just wait
for the dial tone and make
sure that the Internet Call
LED turns Green.
b. Dial the speed-dial key and
wait for the contact to answer.
B . Call Waiting (PSTN & Skype)
a. While you are on a normal call, and there is an incoming
Skype Internet call, you will hear the Skype waiting tone and
the [Internet Call] LED on IPW will flash quickly.
b. Press ## to answer the incoming call. The previous call will be
put on hold.
c. Press ## to switch to the previous call. The new coming call
will be put on hold. You can switch between the two calls by
pressing ##.

C . Call Waiting (Skype & Skype)
a. While you are on a Skype Internet call, and there is an
additional incoming Skype Internet call, you will hear the
Skype waiting tone.
b. Press ## to answer the new incoming call. The previous call
will be put on hold.
c. Press ## to switch to the previous call. The new coming call
will be put on hold. You can switch between the two calls by
press ##.
D . Making a Skype Conference Call
a. Pick up the handset.
b. Make sure that you are in the Internet Call mode (the Internet
Call LED turns Green). If not, please press ##.
c. Wait for the IPW dial tone.
d. Dial the speed-dial key of whom you want to add to the
conference.
e. Press * and then dial the speed-dial key of the second
contact.
f. Repeat step e to add other contacts to the conference.
g. Press # to start the conference call.

APPENDIX： Line Port Setup
Do not connect IPW to the computer until you have installed the IPW
software.
DSL modem setup (Using wall mount type filters): Connect
the Line Port to the Phone Port of the DSL filter with the supplied
telephone line. The DSL filter is usually supplied by your DSL
provider.
DSL modem setup (Using micro-filter): Connect the Line Port
to the Phone Jack on the wall via a micro-filter with the supplied
telephone line.

Cable modem setup: Connect the Line Port directly to the Phone
Jack on the wall with the supplied telephone line.
