Cutting Directions
Snowball Blocks
(80) x 4 ½” center square
(320) x 1 ½” cream squares
Sashing
(70) x 1 ¼” x 4 ½” pieces
(9) x 1 ¼” x 37 ¾” pieces
Yo-yo’s
For this quilt we used Clover’s small sized
“QUICK” yo-yo maker (approx. 1 ¼” round).
(63) x yo-yo’s for the posts
(20) for the borders.
Border
(2) x 8 ½” by 47 ¼” for sides
(2) x 8 ½” by 53 ¾” for top and bottom
Piecing Instructions
Following diagram and with right sides together, line up (2) 1 ½” cream corner squares with an
4 ½” center square. Sew diagonally across corner squares from corner to corner. Press towards
outside corners. Trim middle layer if desired. Repeat with (2) more cream corner squares as
shown in diagram. Repeat for a total of (80) Snowball blocks.
Quilt Assembly
Following the picture, assembly blocks and sashings into rows. Stitch rows and sashing together
to finish the center of the quilt.
Add left and right borders first and then finish with the top and the bottom borders.
Using your prefered applique method, attach yo-yo’s, 1/4” finished bias
stems, flowers and leaves following the photograph on the front cover.
Quilting
Layer, baste and quilt as desired. Attach binding using your favorite method.
