Technical expertise + innovation
There’s rarely a problem that we can’t solve. We are technical experts
in industry research, product development and problem solving.
Our research programs focus on the development of high quality,
industry leading products from dragline chain, buckets and rigging
to excavator bucket lips and ground engaging tools.
More bite, less wear
We also practice the latest clean-steel technology.
During melting and pouring, liquid bath samples are taken
regularly and analysed in our NATA accredited chemical
testing laboratory. Argon stirring and calcium wire injection
is performed on each ladle of metal prior to pouring.
This clean steel technology promotes steel cleanliness
of the highest industry standards.
Stay one step ahead of the harsh conditions that affect wear life.
Extend the life of your chain even further with CQMS Razer’s
value add options:
All CQMS Razer chain castings are heat treated using
gas fired programmable ovens. Heat treatment ovens are
monitored via PLC systems for complete accuracy during
heating cycles. Proprietary heat treatment cycles are
used to optimise mechanical properties such as hardness.
Quench tanks are equipped with unique in house designed
water agitation systems and cooling water towers ensuring
consistent mechanical properties throughout the castings.
Hard facing
Quality + testing
We have extensive testing capabilities. From visual surface
checks, and magnetic particle and ultrasonic testing, we
embrace the latest technologies and techniques to ensure
that all CQMS Razer dragline chain complies with Australian
quality standards.
ProLONG™
Manganese steel overlay
– Add our manganese
steel ‘armour’ to increase
the life of your chain
end links.

Hard facing – Resist metal
to metal wear, high temperature
abrasion and impact with
this hard surfacing alloy
application.

life in highly abrasive
conditions.
Working harder, longer
Our foundries cast all CQMS Razer bushes for maximum strength,
hardness and wear life. Unlike forged bushes, our specially cast
bushes increase in hardness, the harder they work – reducing friction,
operational stresses and overall wear.
The perfect fit, everytime
Our expert engineering team has an eye for detail. Each and every
CQMS Razer chain link – pear end, stud end, intermediate or transition
link – has been carefully engineered with design features to:
Maximise site safety by minimising operational stresses
Improve life and reliability with a perfectly mated, cross section design
Reduce wear by increasing the contact surface area
Avoid the common
‘mismatches’ of chain
crutches while minimising
chain mass and maximising
the size of your end links.
