relatives a n d friends. A n d yet. Our Lord w a s sad, b e c a u s e t h e y t o o k their cure for g r a n t e d . T h e y
failed t o appreciate t h e love a n d k i n d n e s s J e s u s h a d p o u r e d o u t t o t h e m . T h e y clung t o their gift
and forgot the Giver.
Lack o f g r a t i t u d e m a y b e o n e o f t h e b i g g e s t failings o f o u r life. W e t a k e s o m u c h f o r
g r a n t e d ! Life itself, o u r f a i t h , o u r h e a l t h , o u r f a m i l i e s a n d f r i e n d s , o u r m a t e r i a l b l e s s i n g s . E v e n
the restraining influence that has kept us from doing the m o s t foolish things and committing the
w o r s t s i n s - it's all t h e w o r k o f G o d ' s p r o t e c t i v e g r a c e . M a y w e a p p r e c i a t e all t h e g i f t s w e h a v e
been given - love t h e m , enjoy t h e m , and constantly be grateful to our Heavenly Father.
