fans of all ages gather in Chicago, the capital of
summer music festivals, and treat their souls to
the sounds that fill the air.
COMMITMENT TO TRAINING: As part of our
dedication to stringent hiring and training
standards, our pilots began a new flight
training program in Dallas, Texas.
HEALTHY LIVING: One of our pilots created a
fitness and nutrition guide for staying healthy
while on the road and in the air. These tips are
helpful for both leisure and business travelers!
Each PlaneSense® Informational Quarterly is
published and edited by members of our
team who help make your PlaneSense flying
experience easy and enjoyable.
Dear PlaneSense® Participant,
For 20 years the PlaneSense program has been focused on providing an excellent
value proposition, while, at the same time, ensuring our fractional owners receive
world-class service.
We understand that the advertising media presents you with a wide array of
private flying options with great frequency. We are pleased that, despite the
diversity of choices, you continue to choose our program. Over a third of our
current fractional owners have been a part of the PlaneSense® family for 10 or
more consecutive years. It is a great feat for any business to be able to say that
such a large number of its clients have remained loyal for more than half of the
company’s existence. It is also an achievement that brings us abundant pride.
Our focus is sincere; we aim to be the safest, most reliable, cost-effective
fractional aircraft program. We are not a marketing company, and we do not
intend to become one. We are aviation experts with penchants for service. Our
attention to detail and our efforts will continue to be put toward the evolution of
the PlaneSense® program and enhancing the offerings available to our fractional
share owners.
We look forward to another active summer serving your travel needs.
With warm regards,
George A. Antoniadis
President and CEO

OWNER REFERRAL PROGRAM
Over the last 20 years, a large part of our growth has come
directly from YOU through owner referrals. This is the best
compliment you could pay us, and is a great testament to our
high standards of owner service, safety, and reliability. We are
very fortunate to have owners in the PlaneSense® program
who have such confidence in us that they often refer us to
their family, friends, and colleagues. New owners choose the
PlaneSense® program for the same reasons you selected us.
CAPE MAY, NEW JERSEY
To show our appreciation for your endorsement, we offer a credit
based on the referred buyer’s purchase. Over the past 5 years
we’ve credited hundreds of thousands of dollars back to our
owners. For further details about this program, please speak
with your Sales Executive by calling us at: 1-866-214-1212.
Thank you for your ongoing business, and for contributing to
our success!
SADIE THE AIRPORT DOG
MAKE THE SUMMER
WHITE HOUSE
YOUR HOUSE!
Fondly called the “crown jewel” of its region, Cape May
is the farthest southern point on the New Jersey Shore.
Filled with gorgeous beaches, elegant seaside hotels, and
Victorian-style mansions, Cape May has been a retreat for
so many U.S. presidents that it has claimed the title, “The
Summer White House.”
Once you arrive you could choose to stay at The Virginia
hotel, which dates back to the 1800s, and sits in the heart
of the city’s historic district. The rooms are contemporary
and elegant, and those on the second floor offer
wicker-furnished balconies overlooking Jackson Street
(where the heart of all the action is).
For cocktail hour we recommend going to Fisherman’s
Wharf on Cape May Harbor, which boasts The Lobster
House restaurant. Here, diners can enjoy unrivalled
waterfront ambiance on the 130 foot-long authentic
sailing vessel the Schooner American, moored dockside.
The vessel has an outdoor cocktail lounge, full bar, and
In the last couple of years, PlaneSense® pilots have flown to
and from Innisfree Jet Center over a dozen times. Located
in Pensacola, Florida at KPNS, this FBO has a very popular
mascot that our pilots and passengers adore.
Sadie, a floppy-eared Golden Retriever, is equipped with
an orange safety vest, headset, and airport badge. She
spends her time patiently waiting on a welcoming red carpet
for aircraft to land, making sure to be the first one to greet
visitors on the ramp. Although Sadie isn’t NATA Safety 1st
trained like the rest of the Innisfree line crew, she sure knows
how important it is to provide great customer service!

PLANESENSE, INC. DEPUTY
GENERAL COUNSEL APPOINTED
BY GOVERNOR MAGGIE HASSAN
Lorri Badolato, who has served as our in-house Deputy
General Counsel since 2007, has been appointed by New
Hampshire Governor Maggie Hassan, with the consent of
the Governor’s Council, to serve as a representative of
Corporate Aviation on the New Hampshire Aviation Users
Advisory Board. The Board is a seven-member body
created by state law to advise the Director of the Division of
Aeronautics, Rail and Transit (a division of the New Hampshire
Department of Transportation) “on all matters relative to the
operation of airports and licensing of pilots and other aviation
personnel.” The Board also acts as an appellate body, and
hears appeals of decisions of the Director of Aeronautics, Rail
and Transit relating to aeronautics.
specialty menu. When it comes to dinner, The Washington
Inn has been unanimously selected by locals and visitors
as the best restaurant for its French décor and cuisine,
large wine selection, and most importantly for the
enthusiastic, friendly service.
When you’re not wandering Jackson Street or relaxing
on the beaches, other guest attractions to partake in
include Sunset Beach at dusk or dawn, the Boardwalk,
the Cape May Lighthouse, the Cape May Zoo, the
Emlen Physick Estate, and Historic Cold Springs Village.
The city also has museums, tours, a mall, spa, theater,
breweries, golf, and the option for plenty of water-related
activities, such as paddleboarding, surfing, jet skiing,
fishing, and kayaking.
With the PlaneSense® program you can fly into the Cape
May Airport (WWD), which is just a 15-minute drive from
the center of Cape May. This is a must-visit destination
with lots to do, see, and enjoy.
All Board members must have a valid pilot’s license, and they
are typically individuals considered authoritative in matters
of aeronautics, generally, and in the field they are chosen to
represent, specifically. In addition to the field of corporate
aviation that Lorri will represent, the other constituencies
required to be represented by Board members, according to
state law, are airlines, airport management, airport authorities
or municipal airport governing agencies, two members from
the New Hampshire general aviation community, and the
Commissioner of Transportation or his/her designee.
Lorri is a graduate of the Boston University College of Arts
and Sciences and the Suffolk University School of Law,
and is an active member of both the New Hampshire and
Massachusetts Bars. She has a Private Pilot Certificate with
a Single Engine-Land rating, and she is a member of the
Lawyer-Pilot Bar Association and the International Air and
Transportation Safety Bar Association.

CHICAGO BLUES FESTIVAL
* June 12-14
Celebrating its 32nd year, the Chicago

three day festival was held on five stages
in Grant Park, and this year’s headliner
was Chicago legend, Buddy Guy. The

Muddy Waters and Willie Dixon were
celebrated during this year’s festival.
WINDY CITY LAKESHAKE

year as this brand-new country festival
made its debut, landing some pretty
big names for its first year. Held at the
FirstMerit Bank Pavilion on Northerly
Island, this festival hosted performers
like Brad Paisley, Clare Dunn, Florida
Georgia Line, and Dierks Bentley.
3-day general admission and 3-day

as the “world’s largest music festival”
it spanned a total of 11 days and
included over 800 acts and 1,000
performances, which were enjoyed
by more than 900,000 fans. The idea
of Summerfest dates back to the late
1960s. Over the years, the permanent
75-acre festival site has seen great
growth and enhancements, including
capital improvements and new partners,
vendors, and exhibits. The 2015 lineup
included The Rolling Stones, Carrie
Underwood, Kings of Leon, Keith
Urban, Stevie Wonder, Bastille, Zac
Brown Band, and Ed Sheeran.

isn’t hot enough, the Lollapalooza
festival really turns up the heat. This
festival, held in Millennium Park, is
the jackpot of music festivals. General
admission and 1-day passes are already
sold out, so the only way to get in now
is by purchasing a 3-day VIP pass, which
are also going fast! The VIP pass grants
entrance into the two “Lolla Lounges”
that include catered food, mini-spa
treatments, golf cart shuttles to the
viewing platforms, and premium sightlines.
This year’s anticipated lineup includes
performances by Paul McCartney, Sam
Smith, Kid Cudi, Metallica, Florence +
the Machine, and Alabama Shakes.
CHICAGO JAZZ FESTIVAL
* September 3-6

Chicago Cultural Center, this year’s 37th
Annual Chicago Jazz Festival will toast
to 100 years of Billie Holiday, 50 years
of the Association for the Advancement
of Creative Musicians, and 25 years of
the Americans With Disabilities Act.
Since 1979, the festival’s mission has
been to showcase Chicago’s vast jazz
talent alongside national and international
artists. The festival promotes appreciation
for all forms of jazz through quality live
performances, and is the largest free jazz
festival in the world. This year’s top
headliners include Muhal Richard Abrams,
Jose James, Dee Dee Bridgewater,
and Henry Butler.

MEET PETER DITE
Peter Dite joined the PlaneSense® team
two years ago as a Flight Manager.
Born and raised in the Czech Republic
(then Czechoslovakia), Peter served
in their 82nd Airborne Division from
1989 to 1991 as a jumper on Mi-17
helicopters. He also worked closely
with Antonovs (similar in size to the
giant C-5 Galaxy cargo aircraft flown
by the US Air Force). While in the
Czech Republic, Peter earned an
Electro-Engineering degree.
After relocating to the United States
in 1998, Peter obtained a Bachelor’s
Degree in Computer Science from
Southern New Hampshire University.
In addition to speaking Czech, Peter is
fluent in Russian, Spanish, and English.
He enjoys cross country skiing and
snowboarding, sand volleyball, and
martial arts. For the past 6 years, Peter

OVERFLIGHT PERMIT
As part of our commitment to stringent
hiring and training standards, our
new-hire and Captain upgrade
PC-12 pilots will now train in Dallas,
Texas at FlightSafety International,
using an FAA certified, Level D Full
Motion Simulator.
We are pleased to announce that after
working closely with the U.S. Customs
and Border Protection Agency for several
months, our operations team was granted
a Border Overflight Exemption.
FlightSafety’s simulator is a top of the
line training device that utilizes very
sophisticated software to replicate
all of the flight characteristics of the
PC-12. This is the most advanced
simulator available, and allows pilots
VISITOR TO PLANESENSE
The PlaneSense® program had the
honor of flying Tom Brokaw (former
NBC Nightly News anchor) to and
from our Portsmouth, New Hampshire
to conduct incredibly realistic training,
which will better prepare them to fly
the PC-12.
headquarters in late May. The flights
were a donation to our friends at
The Portsmouth Music Hall, where
Mr. Brokaw had a sold out speaking
engagement at the Historic Theater.
Mr. Brokaw discussed his new memoir,
“A Lucky Life Interrupted,” which
chronicles his year spent battling
cancer. Bringing the audience through
his journey from the Great Plains to
California, from Watergate to New
York City, and from luck and success,
to courage and strength, Mr. Brokaw
shared his thoughts on mortality, family,
and friendship.
Mr. Brokaw has won two DuPonts
and two Peabody awards, as well
as a dozen Emmys, including one
for lifetime achievement. In 2014,
President Obama awarded Brokaw
the Presidential Medal of Freedom,
America’s highest civilian award.
This exemption allows the PlaneSense®
program to utilize a much larger network
of airports for Bahamian travel, and means
that our owners and passengers are no
longer limited to a select group of Florida
airports in order to clear Customs upon
re-entry to the US.
With the Overflight Exemption any airport
with a Customs office—and within a safe
travel distance of the Bahamas—is now
available for use.*
Please contact our Owner Services team
with any questions about this PlaneSense®
program enhancement.
* Dependent on Customs office hours of
operation, aircraft range requirements

STAYING HEALTHY ON THE ROAD
Maintaining healthy levels of fitness and nutrition can be a challenge for those constantly on the road and in the air. Abnormal
sleep patterns, late night meetings, early flights, dining out, and many other travel-related stressors can interfere with a person’s
commitment to a healthy lifestyle. One of our pilots, Jody Waring, compiled a list of tips that she follows to stay healthy while traveling.
SLEEP
Changing time zones and sleeping in noisy hotels can affect circadian rhythm and subsequently affect
jet lag.
•
•
•
•
WATER
Air at altitude and in hotels and public buildings can be very dry and dehydrating, and disrupted
schedules can affect consumption and retention of water.
•
•
•
EAT
•
•
Check menu selections online in advance of making restaurant choices.
Don’t hesitate to ask your server to have entrees prepared in a healthy manner (baked, broiled,
steamed, no sauce, sauce on the side).
Substitute starch choices (potato, rice, pasta) for additional vegetables, or choose a salad instead.
Pre-package healthy snacks to have throughout the day for in-between mealtimes.
Flexibility, adaptation, and a little effort can help you continue to achieve your fitness goals
while traveling.
•
•
•
•
PLAN
Bring your own refillable water bottle when traveling.
Set a goal to ingest a specific number of ounces of water per day.
Infuse your water with fruits and vegetables (like lemon and cucumber) for a great taste. Infused
water has other health benefits too, such as reducing muscle fatigue, mood improvement, and
helping to shake afternoon groggy feelings.
Restaurant and hotel dining can make healthy eating challenging, but not impossible.
•
•
EXERCISE
Ask for a room far away from elevators and stairwells.
Request floors that have been designated as “quiet” floors.
Unless making time zone changes of 3+ hours, try to maintain your regular sleep and awake cycle.
Aim for 7-8 hours of uninterrupted sleep per 24 hours.
Many hotels have their own gym or have agreements with local gyms; ask when making
a reservation.
Carry a jump rope in your suitcase. Jumping rope is a great way to get a cardiovascular workout.
Utilize stairwells while traveling to walk/jog up and down.
Bodyweight exercises (pushups, sit-ups, lunges, jumping squats) in your room can substitute for
weight equipment.
The most important part of committing to a healthy lifestyle while traveling is to plan ahead.
•
•
•
•
Commit to a set number of workouts for the time that you are away.
Prepare healthy snacks ahead of time and check out restaurants prior to arriving.
Keep hydrated as you move about your day.
Make sure to keep your sleep on schedule and commit to getting to bed early enough to get
your 7-8 hours in.
