November is underway and Mother Nature is reminding us who is in charge! Please be sure your child is dressed for
the weather ­ recess is outdoors unless it's raining!

The Breakfast will begin promptly at 8:00 am. Please arrive by 7:45 am to get your
name tag and table assignment. Please allow ample time for traffic!
Childcare will be provided at Summit Academy during the Breakfast for Summit Academy
students. Our doors will open at 7 am on November 13 for anyone attending the Breakfast
who needs to drop their child at school Teachers will be overseeing children and there is
no charge.

If your child is performing or assisting at the Breakfast, please have them at The Olmsted
by 7:30 am. They will need to be in uniform (no hoodies, please). They will return to
school on the bus.

Speed Stack week starts on Monday for the Speed
Stack Guinness Book of World Records. The world
record day is officially on Thursday. Students will have a
brochure sent home to order.
Hands On Learning
Mrs. Strong's 4th grade class have had a busy couple of weeks. To compliment their unit on Native Americans, they
spent Halloween outdoors having a PowWow. This week, the class visited WLKY to add their unit on weather.
WLKY meteorologists, Susanne Horgan and Matt Milosevich showed the students around the studio, let the kids do
their own "weather report" and answered a lot of great questions.
. Chess Club
Chess Club will start on Thursday, November 13 and will meet on Thursdays from 3:00 to 3:45. The cost to join is $75

The Summit Basketball Season has officially begun! We kicked off the season with a school wide Pep Rally on November
4. Our Summit Eagles Basketball team and Cheerleaders were introduced and students had the opportunity to share in
some Eagle Spirit!
