NB:
DOES NOT SUIT VEHICLE WITH WINDSCREEN WASHER BOTTLE FITTED IN
LEFT HAND INNER WHEEL ARCH. THIS IS A CUSTOM INSTALLATION WITH
SEVERAL MODIFICATIONS NEEDED. ONLY ACCOMPLISHED MECHANICS
SHOULD ATTEMPT. THESE INSTRUCTIONS ARE A GUIDE AND NOT A MEANS
OF TOTAL INSTALLTION TIPS.
Instructions:
1. Remove: Left hand front wheel, wheel arch liner and air cleaner assembly.
2. Cut and remove air cleaner intake snout using the air hacksaw. Sit adapter
in place and remove any extra material as required to make air cleaner
intake hole the same size as adapter. Drill 7 holes to 4mm. Or you can
fasten with screw and glue (not included). Apply a liberal amount of
silicone to adapter and pop rivet to air cleaner housing SEE DIAGRAM
ABOVE.
3. Mark out inner guard hole by measuring back from radiator support panel
55mm and across 98mm (see drawing). Drill hole to 89mm using the
hole saw. De-burr and paint hole. Refit air cleaner. SEE DIAGRAM
ABOVE.
4. Tape template to upper rear corner of left hand guard. With a felt pen mark
out all holes. Drill a 4mm pilot hole for each hole position. Drill main hole to
89mm using the hole saw. Drill the remaining mounting holes to 16mm
using the step drill. Cut out new indicator hole using the air hacksaw. File
to shape. Drill the 2 locating holes to 6mm. De-burr and paint all holes.
5. Bolt upper mounting bracket to snorkel and install mounting studs. There
should be 4 studs (use Loctite if applicable not included). Check fitment of
snorkel at this time. Place masking tape on "A" pillar in approximate
position of upper mounting bracket. Sit snorkel on guard and mark around
outside of upper mounting bracket. Remove snorkel. Place upper mounting
bracket on "A" pillar and carefully mark 4 holes. Drill to 8mm. De-burr
and paint holes.
6. Insert plastic plugs to "A" pillar and install upper mounting bracket. Install
snorkel and fasten using necessary hardware. Install flexible ducting and
tighten hose clamps.
7. Refit indicator to new hole in guard and connect wiring (if applicable).
Refit wheel arch liner and install air ram and fasten.
SNORKEL CARE: This product is intended to provide clean, dry air to the engine but does
not necessarily mean the vehicle can exceed the OE manufacturer’s recommended engine
water line depth. There are many considerations to make when increasing water line
depth and a snorkel is just one component. Snorkels are intended to be used only for
infrequent and accidental water crossings. The real benefits of a snorkel are dust
reduction into the engine especially in dry, arid climates. This benefit is increased
with the installation of a pre-filter (sold separately). The pre-filter is very effective and
can fill up quickly in extremely dry and dusty situations. The other benefit of the snorkel is
to take in higher air which is cleaner than the air a normal airbox takes in at engine level. In
extremely dusty or arid areas you may need to clean the snorkel and or pre-filter often. The
snorkel and pre-filter should be cleaned with mild soap and water only.

ADDITIONAL ITEMS MAY BE NEEDED TO INSTALL.
