Successful Start to the Dementia Stations In Memory Support
Ribbons & Reminiscing
Following the 6 hours of dementia training that all
employees of Heritage of Bel-Air completed, the
first memory station was set up in Memory Support.
Ribbons of all shapes, textures, and sizes were displayed in boxes and baskets. The table was covered
in bright colorful material to attract the residents.
The ladies spent time unrolling and feeling the ribbon as well as reminiscing. The residents educated
the younger employees of the proper terminology
and uses of the different types of ribbons. What a
success!!!

Lori Olson, celebrated 30 years of service at Heritage of Bel-Air on
February 13. She has served as a LPN in the charge nurse role and is
currently in the Staff Development Coordinator.
Lori truly has a heart for Heritage of Bel-Air.
Sandy Juracek, RN states that “Lori is so
dedicated”.
Heritage of Bel-Air is truly blessed to have Lori

All family, friends, caregivers, nurses, aides, and

Every 3rd Thursday, 1:00 pm, Round -Up Room.
State Ombudsman
Information
The local Ombudsman for this
area is Rita Sparr. She can be
reached at (402) 370-3454 or
800-672-8368. Elaine Johnson, volunteer Ombudsman,
visits our facility routinely. She
visits with residents and helps
address concerns that may
arise.
The Ombudsman represents
the needs and interest of residents of long-term care facilities. An Ombudsman works
with relatives and friends on
behalf of facility residents, facility administrators and staff,
and community groups, citizens and other agencies who
have interests in long-term
care. If you have any concerns
which you feel have not been
adequately addressed by your
facility, then please consult
with your local Ombudsman.

Funds Available
After Hours
Residents that keep money with Heritage of BelAir’s resident trust funds, may access these
funds outside of the Business Office’s working
hours—including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
To gain access to resident trust funds, once the
Business Office is closed, go to the nurses station near Cedar/Oak/Willow hallways
