Swimming, fishing and picnic area
Iroquois Trail – Tunkhannock • This 1.8 mile trail for hiking
and biking is a smooth gravel trail through the woods with
benches at the start and the end. The trail begins at the
Tunkhannock ballpark off of Sunnyside Road. Parking located
at the ballpark or further east on Sunnyside Road.
Annual Events
EMHR was created in 1998 as a non-profit
agency with the Heritage Area Program
of the Pennsylvania Department of
Conservation and Natural Resources.
EMHR's mission is to maintain, enhance and help support the unique
rural character, culture and history of the Endless Mountains area.
EMHR serves as the designated water trail
manager of the Susquehanna River North
Branch Water Trail, a National Recreation Trail
of the National Park Service. The agency provides water trail maps
and information, paddler orientation and wayfinding signage, and
helps guide development of river access areas, riverside parks and
related waterway amenities.
EMHR serves as the sponsor for the Northern
Tier Buy Fresh Buy Local Program, a chapter
of FoodRoutes Network LLC, subsidiary of the
Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture. The program's
goal is to make it easier for Pennsylvania consumers to find, choose,
and appreciate local foods, and support farmers and farmland
retention.
Call EMHR at 570-265-1528 for more information about
how you can help preserve our heritage.
