The Carden Laryngoscopy tube is positioned below the level of the larynx. The tube is held in place by an inflatable silicone cuff. Ventilation of the patient is accomplished by intermittently jetting oxygen and nitrous oxide mixtures using a nitrous oxide blender through the jet tube.
