YOU Are the Brand!
S
Letter from the Chairman
A
s the summer months
quickly fade behind us, I am energized by the offerings from your
Chamber that are ahead for all of us
this fall.
We kick off with two terrific
presentations for our monthly
meetings. On Thursday, September 9, our keynote speaker for our
Monthly Luncheon will be Steve
Adubato from NJN Public Television & Radio, who will present
“YOU are the Brand.” Considered
one of the country’s top communication coaches, Steve will offer
tips and tools on how to more effectively communicate the key
messages to stakeholders and opinion leaders in a position to influence your organization’s success.
Then, on Wednesday, September 15, Professor Graham Jones,
Co-Founder & Director of Lane4
US, will present “How Accomplished Business Leaders Equip
Their Employees for Success” at
our monthly Business-BeforeBusiness breakfast meeting. Professor Jones will focus on the role
of the leader creating conditions
where people can thrive under their
guidance. Our breakfast meetings
are becoming ever more popular.
Last month’s breakfast hosted by
Novo Nordisk at its New Jersey
headquarters in Princeton focused
on healthcare and had a new record
attendance of over 75 attendees.
I am especially excited about the
29th Annual Trade Fair & Culinary
Showcase on Monday, September
27, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is a
true business-to-business event,
enhanced by great food and beverages from 20 of the area’s best
restaurants and caterers. I can personally attest to the terrific networking opportunities at this
event. Last year, my first outing at
this event, I met two bankers who
have since provided us financing
for several of our development
projects. This is just one of example that demonstrates the power of
being a Chamber Member. So, you
must come, and if you would like
to participate as an exhibitor,
please contact Cheri Durst at 609924-1776 or [email protected].
One last reminder: please mark
your calendars for our 50th Anniversary Celebration on Thursday, October 21. This event promises to be great fun, so don’t miss it!
And, everyone attending upcoming Chamber events will have an
opportunity to answer trivia questions related to the 1960’s. All trivia winners will be entered into the
Grand Prize drawing at the 50th
Anniversary Celebration.

Successful branding is much
more than advertising, marketing,
and public relations. It is all about
building your reputation in the
marketplace. Especially in these
unpredictable and often scary economic times, organizations that
consistently brand themselves as
respected, reliable, and responsive
will be in a much better position to
survive and ultimately thrive in the
future. Dr. Adubato will provide
specific tips you can use right away
that will help you navigate uncharted waters and keep your bottom line afloat.
The Chamber extends a sincere
apology to our Members of the
Jewish faith who are unable to attend this meeting which was scheduled in error on the Rosh
Hashanah holiday.
