of historic events such as great floods,
forts and the glories of the fur trade.
Located on the western edge of a major

geometrically aligned to the True North (Polaris)
and the sunrise and sunset of each equinox and
solstice,define the Circle.In the future,these will
hold sighting devices for naked eye astronomy.

suffrage.The theatre hosted a famous mock parliament
in January 1914,when Manitoba’s Nellie McClung
portrayed the premier in a mock,wry debate about
whether men should be given the vote.The panels
and the banner celebrate women’s struggle to get
the vote,both locally and across the country.

The newly renovated Cinematheque is an intimate

Platform is Manitoba’s only artist-run gallery

this beautifully maintained firehall features stained
glass windows and ornate tin ceilings.As a tribute
to the heroism of fire fighters,the museum features

The “Prairie Dog”is a fully restored 1900-era vintage
train with five wooden coaches powered by either
