Run Report 1933: Mardi Gras Madness
Preamble: Arrived at the Malaga Mardi Gras markets to see a sizable crowd milling around ready to welcome in the
new committee. 6.00PM and the crowd is restless calling for a start.
The Run #1933: Our shiny new GM, AssAssIn, mounts the red carpet to welcome the restless throng of
runners and called tonight’s hare, Disgraceful, to give the chalk talk and instructions. Runners and
walkers trail and a drink stop, F-off that way towards Beach Rd. The pack slowly gather pace as the trail
did a loop around the markets, allowing for a bit of early shortcutting through the carpark. Boof led the
pack across Alexander Rd and down to falsie. OnOn was called back along Beach Rd and runners were
seen coming from all directions then veering off into Koondoola Park for a good falsie. The FRBs, Pole
Polisher, BraveFart and our returnick Grub, carried along Beach Rd to another falsie. Meanwhile the
middle of the pack, Voodoo, Kazi, Troppo followed the SCBs into the park for a good run on the trails
through the snake country following the bugle sounds of Concord. Mother, Panels, Rads and
Screwdriver were all seen having a stroll in the bush before we emerged back onto and across
Alexander Drive for some street running and the promised drink stop. Tampax, our Hash Flash, took the
option of riding his pushbike around the trail to snap the athletes in action. Song is sung at the drink stop
and it is on home. Except the walkers, who were led astray by C-Man who went left instead of right and
did an extra loop around the block before getting back for left over nibbles, a drink and a chat.
Visitors/Returniks: Pumpkin, Sgt Bilko, Ampol, DV8, MTM and a long time absent Grub, (son of H.J.
brother of Wichety). Welcome back and DD for all. Song by Song Master Screwdriver.
General Business: Scrotus is called forward to explain his sign “Thee councilium est fornicated”. GM
announces that there is a communication problem with HOTMAIL email addresses, Voodoo to write a
letter to Bill Gates to ask for an explanation. Popeye presents the H4 foot and GM's jacket to AssAssIn
for the duration of his reign. This is followed by Mother presenting the GM's mug to Popeye and
AssAssIn, with thanks to C-Man for organising the mugs. Mugs are filled and DD for these 4. Salvos run
on Tuesday, too late you have missed it. Coops – 192 days to IH Bali, and a bit of long range planning,
KL Mother Hash is organising an 80 year celebration to held on 14-16 Sep 2018 in K.L. Spud – Rotto in
Bali is scheduled for 4,5,6 Nov 2016. Cheap flights are available now, Air Asia sale also covers the IH
period. Donka: subs are due, pay up. Concord reports the Kalgoorlie-Boulder 1900th run weekend was a
great success with around 150 hashers helping D.A.G.S. celebrate his anniversary. Wimpy, dressed in
his best Mardi Gras outfit announces his retirement from the work force. To celebrate this momentous
event he has invited all to drinks at the Morley Rec Club on Friday afternoon. Contact Wimpy for details.
BUS: Once again we are looking for volunteers to drive the bus to the run site on a Monday night. No
driver, no bus, no booze. Seems simple to me, volunteer to do your bit and drive the bus occasionally.
Kazi is to make a roster of drivers, contact him to nominate a date or you will be given a date. ELF has
got in early and has volunteered to drive for Ampol’s run next week.
Charges: Stir on C-Man for getting last weeks’ girl all excited, then not following through and leaving the
poor lass deflated. AssAssIn on MTM for calling the GM a c-word, that is a comedian. Kazi on Precious
for displaying an old and faded H4 sticker on his car. This was followed by an accolade for the GM for the
supply of AGM shirts last week, much appreciated by the members, thanks AssAssIn and DD. Brave
Fart on Popeye who was boasting that he was a running GM, defence by Concord saw Brave Fart on
ice. Wimpy on Popeye for running out of food last week, reversed as there was plenty of rice. GM on
Ampol for claiming he missed out on food last week and he was not even there. Drinks all round for the
guilty bastards. Wimpy on ice for gobbing off.
Jokes: Ballarina story of the Scotsman getting
married and what is his tartan. White.
Historian: Not this week.
Run Assessment: Generally a well set trail, good use of falsies and a few checks saw the majority of the
pack get to the drink stop. 8/10 from DV8.
ARSE: Stand in C-Man up to his usual standard has a word of the week – Leroy. Calls Baron forward
for his birthday and to sit on the ice, where C-Man explains that Leroy is a blow up doll - with
appendages. No cake this time, but a brown doll for Baron. WOW: Halfway had a few worthy
nominations, but the prize is taken out by our newest member, Grub. To avoid paying visitors fees he
paid up as a member. Welcome back.
Hares Act: Sing sing or show us your...No, we really did not
mean that Scrotus. Cummittee Meeting: Tues 01 Dec at AssAssIns house. 7.00PM
Boof led us into song No.1. Finally food by Scrotus.
