Something For Everyone At
Hilton Caribbean Hotels & Resorts
New in 2006: Resorts and Villas,
Kids’ Programs, Meeting Space and More
W
ith all that’s new in 2006 – two
resorts, oceanfront villas, children’s programs and meeting
space – the Hilton Caribbean
properties are poised for an exciting year.
“We know Hilton Caribbean is the
place our guests would rather be, and we
work hard at ensuring our guests’ continued pleasure,” said Danny Hughes, vice
president of Hilton Caribbean. “With all
the new amenities in 2006, we are truly
offering something for everyone.”
The newest jewels in Hilton’s crown of
accommodations are the Hilton Barbados
resort and Hilton Santo Domingo hotel, and
new luxury villas at Caribe Hilton in San Juan.
The Hilton Barbados, situated on a
peninsula on Needham’s Point and offering ocean view guestrooms with private
balconies, features a fitness center, pool
complex with cascading pools, Kidz Paradise™ club, and superior dining. Guarded
by historic Fort Charles, the secluded
location of Hilton Barbados is still close
enough to all that Barbados has to offer
in dining, shopping, and entertainment.
Hilton Santo Domingo, on the city’s
oceanfront boulevard, El Malecon, is a
good example of a hotel whose reputation preceded it. Even before the hotel
opened, its chefs were winning awards – a
dozen, to be exact – from the Dominican
Republic’s 31st annual Gastronomic Festival. In addition to exquisite dining, the
hotel offers 228 oceanfront guestrooms,
health club and swimming pool, and is
anchored to a complex that includes
shopping, entertainment and the city’s
largest casino.
And San Juan’s Caribe Hilton, Grande
Dame of the Caribbean and symbolic
of Puerto Rico’s glamour and style, ups
the luxury ante with the debut of the
Condado Lagoon Villas, where studios
and one- and two-bedroom villas come
with marble bathrooms, spacious living
and sleeping areas, and private balconies,
many with views of the ocean. Guests in
need of home brewed java will be happy
to spot a new Starbucks® at the resort,
and lovers of pan-Asian and Latino cuisine will want to check out the new Lemongrass Restaurant.
And, there’s fun for kids too, at the
two newest Kidz Paradise™ clubs in the
Hilton Caribbean chain: Hilton Barba-
dos and Hilton Curaçao.
Parents can relax knowing that qualified camp counselors are leading their children in agespecific activities, indoors and out. Among
the many kid-approved activities are video
games, drawing, reading, and arts and
crafts, as well as swimming, nature walks
and beach games. And, kids receive special
welcome packs crammed with special gifts,
like t-shirts, wristbands and Frisbees.
It’s a Pleasure Doing Business
The beachfront Hilton Curaçao, the
largest resort meetings complex on
the island, features a new Hilton Meetings® facility, with boardroom, six meeting rooms and business center, and the
exclusive Executive Floor, where rooms
are equipped with high-speed Internet
access and large working desks, and a
private lounge serves up complimentary
breakfast, snacks and beverages.
The Hilton Meetings® complex at the
new Hilton Barbados features a business
center, boardroom with chairs ergonomically designed for day-long comfort,
and three meeting rooms that can be
divided into
six breakout
rooms. Tack on a
giant ballroom, and you have the island’s
largest meeting space.
And at Hilton Santo Domingo, the
leading conference hotel in the Dominican Republic, meeting goers have at
their disposal two boardrooms, five
flexible meeting rooms, fully equipped
business center and two ballrooms.
In the unlikely event an issue arises,
all Hilton properties participate in the
Hilton Caribbean Meetings Guarantee;
if an event doesn’t proceed as contracted,
you don’t pay for that portion of the event.
To sweeten the deal even more, Hilton
offers meeting planners who book 30-plus
rooms to choose two of four perks: free
high-speed Internet access in the guestrooms, complimentary coffee break, 20
percent off on meeting space, or a twohour Welcome Reception. Book 60-plus
room nights, and choose three perks.
