July Meeting Information
As summer rolled in with high temps and higher
humidity many of our Queen City Chapter
members were relaxing at the Bloomington Gold
show. From being judged, to selling parts, to
judging, to relaxing with the family everyone
seemed to have a great time. We only had a two
week break before heading off to the NCRS
Nationals and road tour in Kansas City . I am
sure our chapter will be well represented at this
event also.
Our friends at Trim Parts in Lebanon are hosting
their annual open house again on July 8th (passed).
Be sure to set some time away for a great lunch
with friends. Our July meeting has been moved
back one week to Tuesday July 22nd to avoid any
conflict with the Nationals. Chris and Shannon
are hosting the meeting, they are counting on a
large showing of Corvettes, don’t forget to bring
yours. We will also further discuss our 2014
charitable donations.
This car show season is no different than those in
the past. There are fun car events planned all
over town. The Indiana, Lake Erie, and the
Queen City Chapter meets are all coming up – be
sure to print get your registration for all events in
early! August the 16th we will be having a tech /
judging seminar at Chris and Shannon’s on their
1969 Corvette, the 17th is a wash and shine show
in New Richmond (1979 and older), with the
Corvette Carlisle event landing on the 22-24th of
August. The second Monday of each month
Quaker Steak and Lube in Colerain is hosting a
Corvette Cruise in – so that only leaves Tuesday
through Thursday for household chores.

June 2014 Meeting Minutes
By Mike Hack
The June 2014 meeting of the Queen City NCRS
was hosted by George and Linda Swartz. This is
always a popular meeting, as the members love
looking through their amazing collection of classic
cars and memorabilia. Steve Hack started the
meeting by thanking George and Linda for hosting,
Jerry Hilbert for bringing the tables and chairs, and
Chris Rockenfield for providing the drinks. Steve
also welcomed our guests, Bob Purkett, Monty
Murray, Claude Maynard, Mike Treece, and Matt
Louis.
Wayne McKee, club treasurer, presented the
Treasurer’s Report and the club voted to accept it.
John Ballard then gave the Judging Chair Report
where he mentioned how successful the Colorado
Regional was.
John also suggested that the
membership attend the Bloomington Gold Show
[passed], and asked that our members register early
for the Queen City Chapter Meet.
Joe Eyl presented the upcoming judging and tech
seminars for the chapter: 8/16/14 Judging condition
on Shannon Urton’s 1969, 9/20/14 Buffing paint
seminar at Joe Eyl’s. We will also be having a
seminar on original vs repro parts judging in
November.
Wayne McKee stated that he received a check from
the National NCRS for the Charitable Donation
Match Program. We will soon present this check to
the Shriner’s.
Next, Steve congratulated Dan Lobaugh for
receiving a top-flight award at the Miami Valley
Chapter Meet.
Steve also thanked all members for helping at the
Cincinnati Concours d’Elegance and encouraged
the membership to attend the 2015 event “Saturday
Evening Garage Party”.
Steve mentioned that John Williams (ex Cincinnati
News Anchor) volunteered to DJ the 2015 swap
meet for free, as he is an employee of the Shriner’s
Hospital.

June 2014 Meeting Minutes
(continued)
Steve also reminded the club that July 8th is the
Trim Parts open house, and the NCRS National
in Kansas City is July 17th and the Queen City
Chapter picnic is 9/14/14.
The club discussed that the Corvette Historical
Document Service is currently shut down. Otto
Takacs asked the membership if they had any
ideas for charitable donations to please notify the
board and it will be presented to the club. We
currently have a Target for presenting the
Charitable Donation Matching Funds Check to
the Shriner’s at Dan Lobaugh’s meeting, with
hopes of presenting our 2014 donation at the
same time. The club then spoke about possible
donation amounts for Shriner’s and agreed to
vote on it at the July meeting.
Steve Hack then closed the meeting and thanked
George and Linda for their hospitality.
