The Green Bay Education
Association, a union of
professional educators,
provides a voice for its
members through collective
bargaining, representation of
its members, political action,
organizational activities and
public relations.
The GBEA promotes quality
education in Green Bay by
working to create a safe,
positive educational
environment in the public
schools and community.
This is a Wisconsin Statute 11.29 communication with
WEAC members, Federal Statute 2 U.S.C.,
Approximately 35 delegates plus alternatives will be
elected. The NEA RA will be held in Atlanta from July 1 –
July 6. Delegates will receive a stipend amount determined
by WEAC, which covers travel, lodging and food. If you
are interested in running for any of these positions contact
Elections Committee members: Tom Capelle (Edison), Carol
Gruski (Preble), Stephanie Klaus (Red Smith) or the GBEA
office. Nominations are due on Friday, February 7.
Emerging Voices - Cohort VII
15 GBEA members and 6 trainers concluded the 7th year of
Emerging Voices Leadership Training this past weekend,
January 30th – February 1st. The weekend of deep
analysis of what it means to be an Association member and
the direction the GBEA needs to take for the future was a
great success. It is through Emerging Voices that the GBEA
inspires new leadership and creates a core of activists to
advance the education profession, advocate for students
and for the Green Bay Education Association.

GBEA Executive
