A Message
from the
Chamber CEO...
This year, the Chamber plans to
continue creating programs that will
help
strengthen
the
business
community. With the vision and
direction of the Chamber Board of
Directors, we have developed a new 3
year plan that will keep the Chamber
focused to deliver our top 5 priorities
which are:
-Creating a Strong Local Economy
-Representing the Interest of Businesses
-Providing Networking Opportunities
-Providing Information and Resources
-Promoting the Community
One of the newest programs we are confident will bring
education and awareness to our businesses is our
Governmental Affairs Committee. The mission of this
committee is to provide a perspective on local, state and
federal policy issues that are impacting the Tracy business
community. Through the Governmental Affairs Committee,
the Chamber aims to further support businesses and
continue finding solutions to their issues and challenges. I
encourage you to get involved in this new committee by
attending an upcoming meeting.
In 2016, the Chamber’s primary focus will be on
understanding the needs and challenges of our business
community. We intend to continue hosting business walks
as well as sending out surveys to obtain the information
necessary to determine how the Chamber can best serve the
business community.

In early February, vehicle and pedestrian traffic will be
detoured from the 11th Street Bridge to the new detour
bridge until construction is completed in 2017. The detour
bridge will have a 35 mph speed limit, and will be reduced
to one lane in each direction, which may prompt traffic
delays. It’s important for residents, businesses and visitors
be aware of the potential traffic impacts. The actual date of
the switch will be announced shortly. For more information

The members of the Tracy
Police Officers Assoc. are
holding their 2nd Crab
Feed Dinner and Dance.
The Tracy
Police Officer’s Association is a benevolent
organization that donates money to numerous
community groups, these being: local youth
sports teams, Tracy Public Safety Scholarship

disasters and the Brighter Christmas program.
In 2015, the Tracy Police Officers’ Association
donated over $17,000 to the above causes
among others. The Crab Feed Dinner and
Dance will be held on Saturday, February 20th
at St. Bernard’s Holy Family Center
located at 12100 West Valpico Road in Tracy.
The evening’s event starts at 5:00pm with a no
-host social hour followed by dinner being
served at 6:30pm. During the event, we will be
selling raffle tickets for a variety of gift baskets
and prizes. After dinner, we will have a raffle
followed by a DJ and dancing until 11:30pm.
