C
ongratulations to our dancers who had Norwex parties in their homes in
January. They were able to bring between $118- $167 to their dance accounts
and received literally hundreds of dollars worth of products into their homes!
Way to go!
We are looking forward to several more dancers holding classes in their homes
this month and lots of Face Book parties! We are so happy that this has turned
out to be such a great benefit to our families at eMotion. If you hurry, you can
still sign up for an easy face book party during February or March while 100% of
the proceeds go straight to your account.(usually eMotion will take 20% and the
dancer 15%... must be booked during February)
Face Book Parties are as easy as setting a date and putting out invitations.
eMotion has put a really fun party together that only lasts 30 minutes. Get on the
calendar now and put the money towards dance or our trip to St. George in June.

3 year olDs, tuesDays & thursDays 9:00-11:00 am
4 year olDs, tuesDays & thursDays 9:15-11:45 am
eMotion Fine Arts Preschool offers an exceptional learning experience
for your pre-schooler. By combining the elements of the arts and a
comprehensive learning curriculum, your child will be singing, dancing
and verbalizing what they learn in an environment of joy and expression.
In addition to kindergarten prerequisites, children will learn skills in
tumbling, tap, creative movement, drama, visual arts and music. Give
your child a creative and joyful start to their learning journey.
The social, physical and creative development of your child will soar
as he or she enjoys the many learning opportunities. Each child will
develop their own personal creativity while building skills such as
problem solving and critical thinking through artistic expression.
Children express and represent what they observe, think, imagine,
and feel through two and three dimensional art, music, theatre play,
and movement. Through rich and varied experiences with the arts in
combination with a sound preschool education, children grow in both
self esteem and intellectual ability.

welcome our phenomenal new instructors!
Melissa Hendershot has danced nationally and internationally for nearly nine years with Odyssey Dance Theatre. As a
feature dancer, she made her film debut in all three "High School Musical" box office hits. she was also in "American Mall"
on MTV and the documentary, " Duck Beach to Eternity." Melissa served as a Professor of Dance at the University of Idaho
and most recently has starred with J & D Entertainment In Houston, Texas. We are thrilled to add Melissa to our list of
exceptional instructors.
Laura Kaufman has joined us, bringing a ballet resume with her that is most impressive. She graduated from the University
of Arizona Magna Cum Laude with a BFA in in Dance. She was awarded numerous scholarships to participate in programs
such as LINES ballet in San Francisco, Hubbard Street in Chicago, American Ballet Theatre in NYC, Pacific Northwest Ballet in
Seattle, and Kaatsbaan Extreme Ballet in New York. Laura was the recipient of many principal roles and scholarships during
college and also later as a member of City Ballet in San Diego. She now is enjoying the variety of styles offered as a member
of Odyssey Dance Theatre. Welcome Laura!
Barbara Knaub has joined our excellent staff of tumbling teachers. She has danced her whole life and was a member of drill
team and a cheerleader in high school. She narrowed her interests to focus on gymnastics and coached at Black Diamond
and other gymnastics facilities for the past four years. She is well-qualified to bring her experience and expertise to help
our eMotion Dancers reach their goals in tumbling. It is great to have Barbara as a part of our program.
Kelsey Walsh has come to eMotion to share her vast experience with our dancers. She earned her BFA in dance at the
University of Arizona and has trained extensively in ballet, contemporary and jazz. Her credits include work with The Joffrey
Ballet, Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet, The Movement Invention Project, Keigwin Company and Walt Disney World. She is
currently a member of Odyssey Dance Theatre and is looking forward to a European tour in April. We are so happy to have
Kelsey with us!
Kaeli Robbins has brought her talents and cute personality to help our younger dancers at eMotion. Kaeli brings with her a
wide array of dance experience including high school dance and an award winning drill team and many years of performing
with the Mountain West Ballet. She has a lifetime of exceptional training with a particular emphasis on ballet. She is busy
juggling college and teaching dance this year. We are glad Kaeli is making time for our eMotion dancers.
Deedra Newby has recently moved from Indiana to Utah to be with her children and grandchildren. With that move, she
brings years of experience which include: founding, directing, teaching and building a recreational dance program from
three classes and 16 students to over 40 classes and 350 students; establishing and coaching a high school dance team for
13 years and during that duration a number of state championships, state runner-up titles and two national championships;
forming a community dance company; and judging for the IHSDTA (Indiana High School Dance Team Association). Deedra has
had a passion for dance since age 4 and now her goal is to train dancers in technical excellence as well as instill within them
the desire to dance from their hearts and souls. We are so lucky to have Deedra at eMotion!
