Arachova is a mountain town and a former municipality in the western part of
Boeotia, Greece. Its name origins from South Slavic, and denotes a place with
walnut trees. It is a tourist destination regarding the location in the mountains, its
traditions and proximity to Delphi. Greek rebels under the command of Georgios
Karaiskakis defeated the Ottomans at the 1826 Battle of Arachova, and took over
the town.
Arachova is at about 970 m elevation on the southern slope of Mount
Parnassus, above the valley of the small river Pleistos. Near Arachova there is also
one of the most famous ski centre in Greece, the Mountain Resort of Parnassos.
Delphi is both an archaeological site and a modern town in Greece on the southwestern spur of Mount Parnassus in the valley of Phocis.

1st day – August 23 Arrival to Arachova. Check in at the selected hotel. Free time

2nd day – August 24 Breakfast. Optional excursion to Delphi: Archaeological
Museum, Theatre, Columns of the Temple of Apollo, Stadium used for the Pythian
Games, etc. Lunch pack. Free time. Dinner. Optional night out. Overnight.
3rd day – August 25 Breakfast. Free time for individual activities. Lunch pack. Free
time. Dinner. Overnight.
4th day – August 26 Breakfast. Optional excursion to Athens (Syntagma Square,
Temple of Olympian Zeus, Plaka, Acropolis, etc. Lunch pack. Free time for individual
activities. Dinner. Overnight.
5th day – August 27 Breakfast. Hotel check out and departure. End of services.
