Day 1: Saturday 24th May 2008
• Depart Denver International Airport at 8:15 pm on British Airways Flight BA218 to Milan Malpensa International Airport via London Heathrow, TERMINAL 5. Please be at the British Airways ticket and check center no later than 6:00 pm with passport and hard copy ticket.
Day 2: Sunday 25th May 2008
• Arrive London Heathrow at 12:10 pm and transfer to BA 566 departing at 2:45 pm from TERMINAL 5.
• Arrive in Milan at 5:45 pm where our full time bilingual Harvard Sports Italia Tour Escort, Ms. Eileen, meets the group to
transfer by private motor coach to beautiful Lake Garda
• Dinner will be on the motor way at Autogrill between Milan
and Lake Garda. We have booked your group and pre-paid for
dinner within the restaurant!

Day 3: Monday 26th May 2008 Game 1
•Breakfast at the hotel then check out and depart for Venice

Transfer by motor boat to San Marco Island for a walking guided tour of the city, including the
Doge’s Palace and Bridge of Sighs
Lunch on your own and free time in Venice then return to the motor coach in Tronchetto parking
lot.
Pre-game dinner at hotel
Transfer to Mozzecane for the first friendly game
Game 1: Colorado College Tigers vs. Fortitudo (Serie B) K/O 8:00 pm
Return after the game for overnight
Day 4: Tuesday 27th May 2008

• After breakfast, check of the hotel
• Lake Garda is one of Italy’s favorite vacation destinations. Its shores are studded with villages and
small towns and it is also home to a number of Roman settlements, medieval fortresses, noble villas, and churches and monasteries of all descriptions
• Training at 8:30 - 10:30 am on the campus of the Hotel Antares
• Depart for the home of Romeo and Juliet, Verona. Meet the local guide for tour of this lovely city
from 11-12:30 pm. Free time in Verona. Visit the Roman “Colisseum”. (Guide services included)
•Lunch on your own
•Transfer after lunch to the Tuscany Valley and arrive in the spa village of
Montcatini, in Tuscany Valley.
•Check into Hotel Rubens
•Dinner and free evening to explore this lovely Italian village.
Day 5: Wednesday 28th May 2008
Game 2
•After breakfast
•Depart for a half day guided visit of Florence - Our local guided will introduce all the major sites of the Home of the Renaissance, including the Ufizzi
and Accademia Museums (admission fees not included),
and the markets around San Lorenzo,
•Free time to explore Florence - wander the medieval
streets in Dante's old neighborhood, and maybe to sip a
cappuccino on the famous Piazza della Signori
•Lunch on your own
• Transfer for Game 2 friendly at 4:00 pm
• Game 2: Colorado College vs. TIl Gioiello Firenze (Serie A) K/O 5:00

Then travel south to the city of Siena
Free morning to explore the city - Siena is beautifully self-contained and still part-rural behind its
medieval wall, and is home to the great scallop-shaped piazza il Campo, possibly the loveliest of

all Italian squares, and the Duomo and Palazzo Pubblico which are two of the purest examples of
Italian Gothic architecture
• Lunch on your own then transfer to San Gimignano
• San Gimignano rose from an ancient etruscan settlement around a seventh century parish and a
castle gave to the Volterra’s episcope in 929; during the XII century became a city-republic.
Its first walls were born in 998, when San Gimignano became a business centre along the Fran
cigena Way. San Gimignano Panorama The families, enriched with the commerce, ordered 72
towers to be built (but, as the law forbade, everyone could not exceed in height the Commune
tower, called Rognosa).
Further to the continuous infighting between Guelfi and Ghibellini factions (in 1300 also Dante Alighieri stopped there few days as Guelfi’s league ambassador) and to the conflict with Volterra, in
1343 was subordinated to the duke of Athens and in 1353 was subdued • to Florence, following later the rule of Grand Duchy of Tuscany till 1860.

Game 3
After breakfast check out and depart for Pisa.
• Pisa was once a major shipping hub and home to the rising middle
class during the Renaissance
Free time to explore Pisa, including the Pavilion area with the Cathedral,
Baptistry and famous Leaning Tower
Pre game luncheon at the seaside at Rapallo Ristorante (Included as 2nd meal)
Free time
Transfer to pitch by motor coach at 2:00 pm
Game 3: Colorado College vs Sampierdarenese (Serie A2 ) K/O 3:00 pm
After today’s match travel north en route to Lake Como
Travel via the scenic coastal route
Dinner on the motorway (not included)
Arrive Lake Como, and check in to Hotel Plinius situated about 60 yards
from the lake’s water-front.
Como, a magnificent combination of Alpine peaks and Mediterranean foliage
Como is a fabulous contrast of Medieval Cathedral, cobbled stone streets
and protective city walls, and modern luxury villas and upscale shopping
mecca just north of Milan
Day 8: Saturday 31st May 2008
Game 4
• Breakfast at the hotel then depart for nearby Milan
• Enjoy a half day guided tour of the fashion capital of Italy, including the
Castle Sforzeni, the Duomo, the world’s 3rd largest Gothic structure, and
the flagship boutiques of some of the world’s most famous designers
• Lunch on your own and a free afternoon to discover Milan
• If available, transfer at 10:30 am to the refectory of the Church of Santa
Maria della Grazie for a viewing of Da Vinci’s The Last Supper - viewings
by appointment only so this is a wonderful opportunity to see one of the
world’s true masterpieces (Entry included)

Dinner at local restaurant in Tradate and a free evening

Day 9: Sunday 1st June 2008
Breakfast
Depart for Cooking School at 3D Culinary Institute.
After Cooking classes and “gourmet” luncheon, we depart for Milan, Italy’s fashion Capital
Stop first at San Siro Stadium for Guided tour of the Stadium facility, Museum of both Milan
clubs: Internationale FC and AC Milano.

• Dinner on your own and return to hotel

Day 10: Monday 2nd June 2008
• After breakfast enjoy a relaxing cruise on Lake Como
• Travel by Lake Como Water taxi to the Centro Lago section and visit Bellagio, possible the prettiest village in all of Italy with its steep narrow streets, lakeside piazza, and beautiful gardens.
• Free time to explore Bellagio and have lunch on your own.
• Return to hotel and Tonight the menu calls for “Pasta and the Sauces of Italy”

Day 11: Tuesday 3rd June 2008
• Breakfast at the hotel then check out and depart for Milan Malpensa International Airport at 8:30
am for the return journey to the United States on BA573 departing Malpensa at 12:00 Noon.
