Patty Knopsnyder—Activities Director
Please join us in welcoming Patty
Knopsnyder as our new Activities Director.
Patty is married to Jim and has two teenage
sons who are her pride and joy. Patty has
been an employee of Goodwill for over 20
years as a Nursing Assistant,
Restorative Therapy Assistant,
and as a Medication Technician.
She spent several years, when
her children were young, as a
teachers aide at Meyersdale
School District. During that
time she discovered that she enjoyed helping the children to
learn through hands on experiences such as crafts, experiments, etc. Her
love for senior citizens drew her back to
Goodwill but with a new desire to prepare
herself academically for an activities position
should one become available.
Patty is excited about bringing the
knowledge she gained as Nurses Aide, Restorative Aide, Med Tech. and as a Teacher’s
Aide to the position of Activities Director.
Patty stated, “I loved my job so
much and I will truly miss it, but I
am looking forward to learning all I
can about Long-term Nursing Care
at the administrative level. Right
now I am learning a lot about the
paperwork but I look forward to
having more time to work one-onone with residents as we find ways
to make their time here at Goodwill
as fulfilling as possible. I just love the residents and want to do the very best for them.”
Congratulations Patty on your new position! We wish you the very best!
