WHAT IS SPEEDGOLF?
Speedgolf is golf played at a fast pace. Competitors play 9 or 18
holes while running between shots. Scores are calculated by
adding the time taken (in minutes) to complete the round to the
total number of strokes taken. For example, if a participant shot
a score of 80 in 60 minutes, his score would be 140.

THE FOUNDRY GOLF CLUB
s The First Tee National Speedgolf Championship (for qualifying
participants). Top 5 female and top 5 male First Tee participant
qualifiers from First Tee chapters around the nation will compete
in a 9-hole tournament for The First Tee National Championship.
THE KANAWHA CLUB
s Sponsorship golf tournament with awards followed by an
interactive Speedgolf clinic/exhibition.

are a natural collaboration. A variety of energizing play can help
the body stay strong, lean, and fit, and be fun during the process.

at The Foundry Golf Club.

Since its inception in 1997, The First Tee has introduced the
game of golf and its values to more than 6.5 million young people
in all 50 United States and six international locations. The First
Tee is an initiative of the World Golf Foundation. In partnership
with LPGA, the Masters Tournament,
PGA of America, PGA TOUR, Johnson &
Johnson, USGA, and Shell Oil Company.
The First Tee Richmond & Chesterfield
is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit youth
development organization whose
mission is to impact the lives of young
people by providing educational programs
that build character, instill lifeenhancing values, and promote healthy
choices through the game of golf.
In 2012, The First Tee of Richmond & Chesterfield reached over 10,000 young people on golf courses, in elementary
schools, on military installations, and through community outreach partners.
