1. Introduction
Having a combined POS and inventory management solution is a must-have for retail
businesses that want to be more efficient and keep data accurate. Web POS, a webbased Point of Sale extension for Magento, is specially designed to integrate with this
Inventory Management module.
Carrying out checkout procedure for customers has never been easier. Web POS helps
your sales staff quickly create orders, conveniently collect in-store cash and credit sales
transactions in a flash. And all steps are just on 1 single page!

2. How to set up in backend
Notes:
Before going into details about how Web POS and Inventory Management Integration
works, please notice that:
- 1 warehouse is 1 sales location. Many sales locations assigned to a warehouse aren’t
supported.
- 1 POS User can work in only 1 sales location. Therefore, he/she can create
shipment from 1 warehouse only.
Other cases such as 1 warehouse with different sales locations, 1 sales location for 1
POS user who is assigned to different warehouses, etc. aren’t supported by default.
Therefore, please contact us if you want to do some customizations.
2.1. Install Web POS and Inventory Management successfully
After installing both Inventory Management and Web POS extension successfully on
your site, you will see a tab to control Web POS in backend like this:

The system will sync sales locations in Web POS with warehouses in Inventory
Management. It means that sales locations will be replaced by warehouses.
2.2. Assign user
There are 2 ways for you to assign POS user in the system. Please note that 1 user can
be assigned to only 1 sales location/1 warehouse.
2.2.1. Configure in Web POS
Go to Sales > Web POS > Web POS Permission > POS Users. The following page
to manage POS Users will be shown as below:
As sales locations are merged with warehouses in your inventory system, when adding
a new user or edit the current one for Web POS Checkout, you can set the warehouse
as sales location from which this Web POS user sells products.

2.2.2. Configure in Inventory Management
From Web POS dashboard management, choose User Locations tab and you will be
redirected to the Manage Warehouses page. Or you can go directly to Inventory >
Warehouse.
If you integrate Web POS and Inventory Management, you will see a tab of Web POS

shipment for this warehouse.

- Web POS extension supports multiple websites, multiple stores and multiple
store views. Before logging in to Web POS checkout, you need to choose the website
first.
- However, Inventory Management extension only supports multiple websites and
multiple stores. It can’t manage stocks in each store view.
If you have many websites and stores, in warehouse management, you will see the
Associated Stores tab to choose.

3. How it works on Web POS Checkout
After integrating Web POS with Inventory Management, Web POS will work based on
Available Quantity of the corresponding warehouse instead of total quantity in
Catalog (total quantity of all warehouses).
3.1. Show in-stock products
Click on Web POS Checkout tab, then use your account to log in. The system will
only show products which are in stock for the warehouse so that POS user can avoid
ordering unavailable products by mistake.

3.2. Notify before placing backorders
The system will not only show in-stock products but it also notifies you if the quantity
of products you add exceeds the available quantity in the warehouse.
Add product to cart and edit quantity as you want, then click on Checkout button.
If the quantity exceeds the available quantity of this product in the warehouse, an error
message will be shown like this.
