Given the ever increasing prevalence of hypertension and
the issues involved in treating cases of resistant and complex
hypertension, the leadership of the hypertension society of
India, (HSI) recognizes that hypertension can no longer be
considered as a single disease entity. While hypertension
is the most prevalent cause of stroke and kidney failure,
hypertension must be recognized as part of a bigger disease
conglomerate almost always accompanied by obesity,
diabetes, kidney disease or many other co-existing problems
involving lifestyle and /or genetics.
The society remains committed to clinical investigation in
hypertension and related vascular conditions. To translate
this research into clinical practice and to bring like minded
clinicians together to discuss, debate, ponder upon & come
to consensus on treating the various complications of
hypertension, diabetes & dyslipidemia as a whole.
We are sure this program will surely benefit to abreast your
knowledge in the field of medicine with its final implication in
improvising patient care and thereby creating a role model for
uplifting the healthcare in the country.
