General Terms And Conditions
CCTF was incorporated in Canada in 1952 as Clyde Tube Forging, a manufacturer of butt weld
fittings originally from Scotland. EMCO Limited purchased the company in 1954. The new
management immediately began broadening its sales base by distributing other complementary
industrial piping products in a Master Distributor capacity.
Today CCTF is Canada’s largest master distributor of industrial piping products. CCTF operates
from a national network of three service centres located in Oakville Ontario, Edmonton Alberta,
and Delta British Columbia. With over 150,000 square feet of warehouse space and a combined
total of 25 acres of outside yard space, CCTF has all of the combined components required by
such a master distributor.

Our focus on quality has long impacted our procurement policies and the suppliers we partner
with. CCTF has chosen to represent many of the world’s leading manufactures of industrial
piping products.
Product Breadth
With well over 6,000 products SKU items in our inventory system today, CCTF offers an ever
growing array of both carbon steel and stainless steel industrial piping components. CCTF
continues to pro-actively “SHOP THE WORLD” in search of new products and suppliers and
will continue to add new lines to our offering in the years to come.
Service
CCTF’s commitment to service is a commitment to our customers and their needs. Some of our
service centres operate on a staggered two-shift basis, that provides our customers with faster
deliveries and longer working days in which to access our inventories. Our sales people are
always available for emergency services if required. With this winning combination we can
provide the service our customers demand.
With all of these customer benefits its no wonder that we have become known as
“THE INDUSTRIAL CHOICE” for piping products in Canada.

Defective Materials

Going in to the next century, CCTF’s market leading position is underpinned by four main
strengths:
Quality Assurance Systems
With a manufacturer’s pedigree in previous years, CCTF has long been known for it emphasis on
Quality Systems and Products. Today CCTF can be found on the majority of corporate product
approval lists across Canada, and we continue to identify the products we sell with the CCTF
logo wherever practical. CCTF is able to offer all of its customers the assurance of our ISO
9002-94 registered QA program in all of our facilities.
Catalogue weights and dimensions are careful estimates, but not guaranteed. Load designs are calculated on
test results of samples after being submitted or by calculations of static load applications.
We will replace any material, which we find at our discretion to be defective in material or workmanship,
provided that it has been used for the purpose intended.
Our obligation with respect to material found by us to be defective shall be limited to replacement of the
defective product only. In no event shall we pay for labor, installation costs, travel or any other expense for
defective products.
Taxes

All prices quoted for product in this catalogue do not include any Provincial, Federal, State, or Foreign Country
taxes. All taxes are to be added to any price received from us.
Delays in Delivery

CCTF shall not be responsible for any delay in shipping products due to fires, strikes, acts of god, delays in
transportation, or labor situations that are beyond our control. In the event of such a delay our shipping date
to you shall be extended for the period equal to the time lost by such a delay.
Returns

No goods purchased from CCTF may be returned for credit without receiving an R.G.A. number from us
first. All goods returned to us for credit must have been originally purchased from CCTF Any goods returned
to us that are found not to be supplied by us will no be considered for credit. Any goods returned to us for
credit must be in a re-salable condition in order to receive any credit.
Short Shipment

Claims for short shipment of product must be received by us in writing within 10 days of receipt of your
shipment.
Minimum Invoice Charge

There is a minimum $50.00 Invoice charge applicable for all hanger products.
Master Distributor
9)
CCTF is a Master Distributor and a material supplier and not a construction sub-contractor. We assume no
responsibility for any terms, conditions, or special provisions contained in any contract between the purchaser
and any other party.

Rust removal by industrial chlorhydric acid and oil removal with lye.
Rinsing with water after oil and rust removal.
Product is placed in the roller for zinc coating.
Second rinse in water.
Passivation by chrome acid to produce sealing coat.
Finished product is then air dried.
WELDING FEATURES
As in any welding situation, proper ventilation must be in place so that when
welding , any fumes containing impurities are not inhaled.
Before welding any C.C.T.F. zinc plated pipe hangers, please check your local
Workers Compensation Board welding procedures manual for ventilation
requirements

Y
CCTF is engaged in the supply and distribution of pipe, pipe hangers, fittings, flanges and valves of various types and for a wide
range of applications. Many CCTF products are installed by the
power generation, petrochemical and process industries for which
the governing codes and standards require considerable control,
inspection and testing to verify the quality characteristics. To deal
with these challenges, CCTF has implemented a quality program to
the degree necessary to satisfy the contractors and owners, with
emphasis put on areas such as review, purchasing, inspection and
corrective / preventative action.
CCTF has established and maintains a documented Quality Management System in an effort to conform to product jurisdiction,
customer requirements, and affect a continuous Quality
Improvement Program. The Quality Management System reflects
the philosophy and policy of CCTF in achievement of Total
Quality and is designed to meet the requirements of ISO 90021994 Quality Standards. CCTF’s experience in supplying
significant projects demanding consistent quality products include
Hibernia, Sable Offshore Energy Project, Terra Nova Alliance
Project and the Irving Refinery Project.

STANDARD & COMMERCIAL
PIPE HANGERS
Pipe hangers offered in this section are designed to support insulated or non- insulated pipe
allowing for vertical adjustment and limited movement in the piping system.
Material:
Carbon steel, malleable iron, 304, and 316 stainless steel are used in the manufacturing of these pipe hangers.
Other materials are also available.
Finishes:
Our standard hangers are supplied with an Electro-Galv. Zinc Coat. Some hangers may be supplied with a
standard oil coated finish that is regularly referred to in the industry as BLACK. Other coatings available are hot
dipped galvanized, standard Zinc Oxide primer or painted to your specifications. When hot dipped galvanized is
ordered standard ZINC plated threaded parts will be supplied unless you request differently.
Approvals:
Some items in this section are Underwriters Laboratory Listed and Factory Mutual Approved. All other items
comply with Manufacturers Standardization Society MSS SP-69.

Applicaticion:
Used for all general purpose and fire protection lines. The

Hangers offered in this section are designed to support fire sprinkler pipe, ductile iron pipe, and
specially designed P.V.C. waterworks pipe.
Most fire protection products in this section carry a U.L. or U,L.C. and a F.M. approval.
Material:
Carbon steel, malleable iron and 316 L stainless steel are used in manufacturing these hangers. Other materials are
also available on request.
Finishes:
There is an assortment of finishes used in the fire protection product line, Standard hangers are made from pregalvanized material while sway bracing products are made from A - 36 wire and are finished black. Waterworks
clamps are also furnished bare metal but hook tie bolts come Zinc Plated.

INDUSTRIAL HANGERS
AND CLAMPS
Pipe hangers and clamps offered in this section are designed for support and attachment of pipe to
structural members as well as our roller hangers which are designed to compensate for longitudinal
movement due to the expansion and contraction of both insulated and non insulated pipe.
Material:
Carbon steel is used in the manufacturing of regular pipe clamps in this section. Roller hangers use the latest
technology available iron accessories.
Stainless Steel can also be used in the manufacturing process here for al products.
Finishes:
All standard hangers available in this section are available in a standard black finish. Zinc plating, and hot dipped
galvanized finishes are also available. Clamps in this section can also be either painted with a primer finish or can be
completely painted to your exact specifications.
Approvals:
As noted on each design these hangers are manufactured to a MSS SP - 69 standard.

Hangers attachments offered in this section are designed to suspend pipe and or threaded rod from
beams, concrete and other structural surfaces by bolting or welding. Strut products offered in this
section offer a wide range of different products all designed for supporting pipe.
Materials:
Carbon steel and Pre-Galvanized steel are the standard materials used for products in this section.
All products in this section are also available in 316 Stainless Steel upon request.
Finishes:

Q Deck Hanger
The Q DECK HANGER is the only hanger on the market designed to suspend threaded tod
from Q Deck.
●
The fastest, most economical way to hang plumbing pipe, light fixtures, sheet metal duct, display
fixtures, etc. from Q deck.
●
Eliminate unsightly holes chiseled or punched in the side of Q deck; weakening the deck. Also the
use of expensive Caddy Clips that were not designed to hold on Q deck.
●
Replace miscellaneous washers, angles, brackets on rods, etc. dropped down from the top, and not
fastened down, which can damage roof insulation if pushed up when working below at a later date.
●
The Q DECK HANGER can be used as a pre-insert in concrete when used on top of deck, by
threading the rod up 2 1/2" and putting a hex nut on the rod, where there is concrete poured on
top of Q deck.
●
Lab tests on 23 gauge Q deck with 10 x 3/4 tek screws show the Q deck slotted at the screws
holes at 1.130 lbs. On the bottom and1,570 lbs. On the top. Recommended load at 4-1 safety
factor is 285lbs. On the bottom and 390 lbs. On top.
●

types and sizes are available for various applications.
Material:
For maximum loading designs carbon steel is used in the manufacturing
of standard threaded rod products. A-316L Stainless Steel is used for Stainless Steel Rod.
Finishes:
The standard finishes for mechanical supports are plain steel (oil coated) sometimes referred to as black. Electro
Galvanized Zinc ( ASTM A123 ) are all available from stock. A 316 L Stainless steel is also available from stock.

General Terms And Conditions
CCTF was incorporated in Canada in 1952 as Clyde Tube Forging, a manufacturer of butt weld
fittings originally from Scotland. EMCO Limited purchased the company in 1954. The new
management immediately began broadening its sales base by distributing other complementary
industrial piping products in a Master Distributor capacity.
Today CCTF is Canada’s largest master distributor of industrial piping products. CCTF operates
from a national network of three service centres located in Oakville Ontario, Edmonton Alberta,
and Delta British Columbia. With over 150,000 square feet of warehouse space and a combined
total of 25 acres of outside yard space, CCTF has all of the combined components required by
such a master distributor.

With well over 6,000 products SKU items in our inventory system today, CCTF offers an ever
growing array of both carbon steel and stainless steel industrial piping components. CCTF
continues to pro-actively “SHOP THE WORLD” in search of mew products and suppliers and
will continue to add new lines to our offering in the years to come.

CCTF’s commitment to service is a commitment to our customers and their needs. Some of our
service centres operate on a staggered Two- shift basis, that provides our customers with faster
deliveries and longer working days in which to access our inventories. Our sales people are
always available for emergency services if required. With this winning combination we can
provide the service our customers demand.
With all of these customer benefits its no wonder that we have become known as
“THE INDUSTRIAL CHOICE” for piping products in Canada.

Defective Materials

Going in to the next century, CCTF’s market leading position is underpinned by four main
strengths:
Quality Assurance Systems
With a manufacturer’s pedigree in previous years, CCTF has long been known for it emphasis on
Quality Systems and Products. Today CCTF can be found on the majority of corporate product
approval lists across Canada, and we continue to identify the products we sell with the CCTF
logo wherever practical. CCTF is able to offer all of its customers the assurance of our ISO
9002-94 registered QA program in all of our facilities.
Catalogue weights and dimensions are careful estimates, but not guaranteed. Load designs are calculated on
test results of samples after being submitted or by calculations of static load applications.
We will replace any material, which we find at our discretion to be defective in material or workmanship,
provided that it has been used for the purpose intended.
Our obligation with respect to material found by us to be defective shall be limited to replacement of the
defective product only. In no event shall we pay for labor, installation costs, travel or any other expense for
defective products.
Taxes

All prices quoted for product in this catalogue do not include any Provincial, Federal, State, or Foreign Country
taxes. All taxes are to be added to any price received from us.
Delays in Delivery
5)
CCTF shall not be responsible for any delay in shipping products due to fires, strikes, acts of god, delays in
transportation, or labor situations that are beyond our control. In the event of such a delay our shipping date
to you shall be extended for the period equal to the time lost by such a delay.
Returns

No goods purchased from CCTF may be returned for credit without receiving an R.G.A. number from us
first. All goods returned to us for credit must have been originally purchased from CCTF Any goods returned
to us that are found not to be supplied by us will no be considered for credit. Any goods returned to us for
credit must be in a re-salable condition in order to receive any credit.
Short Shipment

Claims for short shipment of product must be received by us in writing within 10 days of receipt of your
shipment.
Minimum Invoice Charge

There is a minimum $50.00 Invoice charge applicable for all hanger products.
Master Distributor
9)
CCTF is a Master Distributor and a material supplier and not a construction sub-contractor. We assume no
responsibility for any terms, conditions, or special provisions contained in any contract between the purchaser
and any other party.
