Virginia Commonwealth University welcomes all RPI graduates back
to campus April 19-20 for our annual Reunion Weekend. Return to
your alma mater, reconnect with former classmates and relive the
days when you were a student at Richmond Professional Institute.
All RPI graduates are invited to attend.
April is VCU Alumni Month! Many events, programs, performances,
lectures and social activities are scheduled throughout the entire
month. If you can’t make it for Reunion Weekend, be sure to attend
one of the many other activities in April.

River District Canal Cruise
Turning Basin at 14th and Dock streets
This is your opportunity to learn about Richmond’s
fascinating history along the James River. Enjoy
a great view of the city’s skyline during this
hourlong cruise through the city’s canal system,
which was established in 1785 and completed
in 1840. The tour leaves from the Turning Basin
at 14th and Dock streets, three blocks from the
Omni. $5 per person.

All alumni visiting for the weekend are invited to
join friends and fellow alumni at the Welcome
Reception to kick off the weekend. $15 members;

“Sweeney Todd: The Play”

Dark, nightmarish and thrilling, Christopher Bond’s
play (that Sondheim’s musical is based on) follows
the barber, Sweeney Todd, as he plots his bloody
revenge against the judge who betrayed and

RPI alumni and faculty works of art, including
paintings, sculpture, crafts and more, are on
exhibit through June 2013. Visit the library
and tour the gallery to see this special exhibit.
Some art might be available for sale. Afterward,
help keep the spirit of RPI alive by sharing your
historical memories. Memories will be videotaped.

new home on Floyd Avenue and hear from

opening and Social Work’s 95th anniversary

Raleigh Building, 1001 W. Franklin St.
Visit the Raleigh Building, the current home of the
School of Social Work, and meet students as they
present their social work research. Reminisce with
current and emeriti faculty. Share your School of
Social Work stories with students.

RPI Alumni Reunion Dinner
The 50-year Class of 1963 will be inducted into
the Golden Circle Alumni Club at the annual dinner
and pinning ceremony. All RPI graduates are
invited to attend and rock out ‘60s style. Music
and dancing follow dinner. $35 Class of 1963
inductees. $45 per person.
