MATERIALS and FINISHES All specifications stated herein are subject to change without notice. Any product
dimensions stated herein are nominal.
High Pressure Laminate The lamination process consists of laminate being adhered to the core material
under pressure with a water‐based, formaldehyde‐free, low VOC adhesive. CONSTRUCTION
Classic Parsons
The Classic Parsons table top is 1" thick with a 3" edge. The 3"W panel legs are
comprised of 1" dual walls, are hollow for power/data wire passage and include
black plastic levelers. Tables 96"‐120"L x 36"‐42"H have (2) 8"H x 3/4" center
stretchers; Tables 96"‐120"L x 29"H have (2) 6"H x 3/4" center stretchers. Powered
tables include 3" mouseholes at the top and bottom of one panel leg. Surface
material options include laminate or maple/cherry veneer. Optional surface
mounted tops include Corian® solid surface, natural stone and KrystalCast®.
Optional floating top surfaces include Corian® solid surface, granite, KrystalCast® and
glass. Optional shelving is available as an add‐on option. Ships assembled; cannot
be broken down.
Shelving
Optional compartmentalized shelving is available. Tables 60" to 96"L have 3 compartments per side and tables 120"L have 4 compartments per side. Interior compartment height is 4". The interier compartment width and depth varies with the table size, please contact Nevins Customer Service for sizing. Foot Rails
Foot rails, constructed of 2" diameter stainless steel tubing, are available on Standing and Counter Height Classic Parsons tables. Choose from single or dual rails and two finish options. Toe Kick Plates
Toe Kicks Plates are available on the Classic Parsons tables. The plates are 4"H and are constructed of 11 gauge steel. The standard finish is powder coat; choose from BC03 Satin Chrome or BC08 Black. Please contact Nevins Customer Service for Stainless steel kick plates.
Classic Adjustable Height Parsons
The Classic Adjustable Height Parsons table top is 1" thick with a 3" edge. The 6"W
panel legs are comprised of 1" dual walls, are hollow, include black plastic levelers
and 3" mouseholes. Surface material options include laminate or maple/cherry
veneer. Optional surface mounted tops include Corian® solid surface, natural stone
and KrystalCast®. Ships assembled; cannot be broken down.
Liv Parsons
The Liv Parsons table features one 3" traditional panel leg and one continuous steel apron frame/sled leg. The 3"W panel leg is comprised of 1" dual walls and is hollow for power/data wire passage. The steel used in the construction of the apron/sled leg frame is 2 1/2" wide x 1/4" thick. BC03 Satin Chrome Powder coat finish is standard. Both the panel and sled legs include an adhesive teflon applied along the bottom of each leg. Powered tables include 2" mouseholes at the top and bottom of one the panel leg. The table top is 1" thick. Surface material options include laminate or maple/cherry veneer. Optional surface mounted tops include Corian® solid surface, natural stone and KrystalCast®. Ships assembled; cannot be broken down.
Parsons Bench
The Parsons bench seat platform is 1" thick with a 3" edge. The 3"W panel legs are
comprised of 1" dual walls and include black plastic levelers. Surface material
options include laminate with or without seat cushions, and maple/cherry veneer
with cushions. Cushion styles available are 1 seat cusion or 3 sectioned seat
cushions. All foam meets California 117 fire code specifications. Core Material
Nevins Parsons tables are constructed of high density, industrial grade particle board. All particleboard used in the construction meets are exceeds ANSI A208.1 and California Air Resources Board (CARB) Regulation 93120.2 Phase 1 and Phase 2 emission limits.
3 MATERIAL and FINISHES Laminate Selection While Nevins is an open laminate line, all laminates, regardless of manufacturer or
finish are subject to laminate upcharges. Please have all laminates checked with
Nevins Customer Service Department to determine any applicable upcharges.
Samples
Samples of all laminates are available directly from the laminate manufacturer.
Care and Maintenance for Laminates
Clean plastic laminates with mild soap and warm water. Do not use steel wool, hot
water, or any abrasive cleaning product.
Parsons Collection
MATERIALS and FINISHES MATERIALS and FINISHES Veneer Solid Surface Tops
Nevins veneer parsons tables are constructed of flat cut, book‐matched,
architectural grade maple or cherry veneer. The veneer is stained with a penetrating
wood dye, followed by two coats of high solids pre‐catalyzed lacquer. The finish is
hand sanded between coats of lacquer. Veneers have a semi‐open pore finish with a
35% sheen. Nevins Classic and Liv Parsons Tables are available with a Solid Surface top. The
solid surface is 1/2" thick, has a square eased edge and has a matte/satin finish.

DuPont™ has a collection of 33 Corian® colors that are Greengaurd® certified and
made with pre‐consumer recycled content. Please contact Nevins Customer Service
Department.
Nevins can match most Wood and Veneer finishes. At the time of order, please
provide Nevins with (2) labeled samples that are at least 3" x 3". Samples should be
labeled with the customer's order reference number and sent to Nevins Customer
Service Department : 14006 Newberg Rd, Cat Spring, TX 78933. Customer's stain to
match samples will not be returned. Orders requiring a stain to match may extend
the standard lead‐time.
FSC Certified Veneers and Wood
FSC Certified veneers are available; please contact Nevins Customer Service Department.
Custom Solid Surface Materials Nevins has access to many brands of solid surface materials. Please contact Nevins

Care and Maintenance for Veneer and Wood
Treat with care, as you would with any fine furniture. Coasters should be used under
glasses. We recommend damp dusting and occasional cleaning with a soft cloth and
a high grade furniture polish that does not contain silicone.
Washing with soap and water is usually sufficient to remove surface dirt or residue.
Ammonia based liquid cleaner (not window cleaner) may also be used. Always rinse
surface thoroughly and wipe dry. Drying is an important step, preventing a build‐up
of soap film or cleaning residue, which can create the appearance of light scratches
over time. Stubborn soap film or cleaning build‐up in Corian is easily removed with
an abrasive cleaner rubbed into the surface using a white Scotch‐Brite™ pad. When
finished, rinse thoroughly and wipe dry. Avoid surface contact with chlorinated
solvents, chloroform, methylene chloride (paint removers), very strong acids such as
concentrated sulfuric acids, hydrochloric acids and acid drain cleaners. For

KrystalCast® Tops
Surface Mounted Natural Stone Top Surface Mounted KrystalCast® Top
Nevins Classic and Liv Parsons Tables are available with a Natural Stone top. The
stone is 3/4" thick, has a square eased edge and polished finish.
Nevins Classic and Liv Parsons Tables are available with a KrystalCast® top.
KrystalCast® is an acrylic‐based resin composition. KrystalCast® tops are constructed
in 3 resin layers; top layer is clear resin (3/4"), middle layer is the color layer (1/32")
and the bottom layer is grey colored resin (1/32"). KrystalCast tops have a satin
finish and square eased edge profile. Floating Stone (Granite) Top
Floating Granite top. Granite floating tops are supported by 1 1/4" dia x 1"h satin
aluminum stand offs; stand‐off caps are domed, low‐profile 1/8"h. The stone is 3/4"
thick, has a square eased edge and polished finish.
Natural Characteristics of Stone
Due to the naturally occurring variation in veining, color and physical character, over
which Nevins has no control, Nevins marble and granite items are sold subject to
irregularities of color, surface variations, veining or texture.

Care and Maintenance for Natural Stone
Marble and granite, while hard and smooth, is not impervious to staining and
scratching. The secret of preserving marble and granite in its original state is to keep
it clean and avoid harsh chemicals. Do not use products that contain lemon, vinegar
or other acids as a high acid content may etch the surface. Do not use scouring
powders or creams as they may scratch the surface. Marble or granite should be
washed often with clear, luke warm water on a clean soft cloth and cleaned more
thoroughly twice a year with a mild detergent solution formulated for use on natural
stone. It is strongly recommended that spills be wiped up immediately, as food and
beverages are likely to damage stone. A coating of clear carnauba wax will help
protect the surface and facilitates maintenance. Rewash after each cleaning. If
through accident, or negligence, stains appear on surface, we then recommend you
hire a professional natural stone restoration expert.

Care and Maintenance for KrystalCast®
Clean KrystalCast® surfaces by washing with warm water and mild soap or
dishwashing liquid. Do not sure solvents such as acetone, lacquer, thinner, gasoline,
undiluted alcohol or benzene. KrystalCast® can be restored to its original finish by
using a green 3M Scotch‐Brite™ pad. For deep scratch removal, use 320 grit and 400
grit sand paper followed by a green 3M Scotch‐Brite™ pad to achieve the same satin
finish.

UPHOLSTERY Upholstery General Information
Customer COM/COL
Nevins upholstered benches are available with Graded‐In C.F. Stinson fabrics or with the Customer's Own Material (COM) or Leather (COL).
Upon receipt of a COM/COL order, Nevins will provide COM/COL shipping instructions.
Upholstery Application
All fabrics, including Graded‐In, COM and COL will be cut, seamed and applied at the discretion of the factory. Railroad application is the standard method. Any special instructions regarding the application of the fabric (pattern, direction, face side, etc.) must be indicated on your order. In the absence of instructions, Nevins will apply the fabric at our own discretion, without liability.
Combination Fabrics
Most items can be covered with a combination of fabrics. Multiple cover application should be clearly indicated on the customer's order. Whether the fabric supply is Graded‐In, COM or COL, an upcharge may apply. Please contact Nevins Customer Service Department.
Fabric and Leather Imperfections
Nevins reserves the right to reject any fabric deemed unsuitable for upholstery purposes. Nevins inspects fabrics for mill imperfections, however, Nevins will not be held responsible for defects, color inaccuracies, dye lot variations or other such flaws. Leather is a natural product. Imperfections such as wrinkles and scars are considered normal and acceptable. Nevins is not responsible for the placement or appearance of these markings. Customer's leather must meet minimum standards of no more than three defects per hide. Imperfections that penetrate the hide, large marks, brands, excessively healed‐
over scars or scratches, burns and excessive fat wrinkles are considered unacceptable defects. Puddling
Puddling may occur as a result of certain climate conditions and/or the natural stretch inherent in fabrics and leathers. Puddling is not a flaw in the fabric, leather or manufacturing process. Nevins cannot predict or be responsible for how upholstery wears in an installation setting and does not guarantee against puddling.
COM/COL orders cannot be scheduled for production or acknowledged with a ship date until the upholstery has been received, inspected and approved by Nevins. All COM/COL shipments must be shipped prepaid.

Striped or Patterned Fabric
For striped or patterned fabrics, specify vertical or horizontal application. In the absence of instructions, Nevins will apply the fabric pattern at our own discretion without liability. Pattern Matching
Should a COM be striped or have a pattern repeat requiring matching, a matching charge may apply. Please contact Nevins Customer Service Department. Reversible Fabrics
For reversible fabrics, a swatch of the COM must be provided to Nevins, clearly indicating which side should be exposed. In the absence of instructions, the factory will apply material at their own discretion without liability. Fabric Warranty
Backing Requirements
Nevins will not be held responsible for wear, fading, performance, appearance, behavior, flame retardency or durability of any fabrics or leather whether supplied by the Customer or by Nevins. Graded‐In, COM or COL fabrics are not covered under Nevins Warranty.
Not all fabrics are suitable for upholstery and some may require an acrylic backing to prevent unraveling or stretching. This is determined when the fabric arrives and is inspected. When this occurs, the customer will be notified of the applicable fees.
Multiple Quantities
When ordering multiple quantities, yardage requirements may be reduced. Please contact Nevins Customer Service Department for yardage requirements on multiple quantities.
Customer COM/COL
Upon receipt of a COM/COL order, Nevins will provide COM/COL shipping instructions.
COM/COL orders cannot be scheduled for production or acknowledged with a ship date until the upholstery has been received, inspected and approved by Nevins. All COM/COL shipments must be shipped prepaid.

7 MATERIAL and FINISHES 3a) COM Recommended Yardage Requirements The yardage requirements listed herein are for one bench. Yardage requirements listed are for non‐directional fabrics based on 54" wide fabric. Generally, additional yardage is required if fabric is striped, patterned, requires matching, or if width of material is less than 54" wide. Please use the additional yardage requirement chart below to determine COM yardage / COL square footage requirements. Add the percentage shown on the chart to the standard yardage requirement. The below chart must be considered as an estimate only. Nevins is not responsible for overages or if additional yardage is required. Please contact Nevins Customer Service Department for assistance in determining yardage.

To determine the number of square feet of leather required, multiply the COM yardage by 18. All square footage requirements are based on usable footage; the shape of the hide and the usable , clean footage may make it necessary for us to request more leather after COL is received.
