Central Park Conservancy’s Community Partners use Central Park as a venue for
commercial enterprise, benefiting from the recreational and social opportunities
Central Park provides. As a Central Park enthusiast and frequent Park user, we
encourage you to support the Conservancy and become a Community Partner today,
so that we can keep Central Park beautiful and green year after year. Because Central
Park is so magnificent, it attracts a wide and receptive audience for your venture.
As you may know, the Central Park Conservancy’s mission is to restore, maintain,
and manage Central Park. The Conservancy employs 95 percent of the Parks’
maintenance operations staff, and provides 85 percent of Central Park’s
$45.8 annual Park-wide expense budget.
With over 38 million visitors to Central Park annually, it is vital that we continue to
build a strong base of membership supporters. Central Park is an irreplaceable asset
to New York’s community, and only through your generous support can we secure
Central Park for all of us in the future.
Community Partners are
Central to the Park
Funds raised through the Community Partners Program help support:
Removal of 5 million pounds of litter each year
Re-grading and re-seeding of the Park’s 26 ball fields
Care of Central Park’s 21,500 trees, 843 acres, and 58 miles of pathways
Graffiti removal within 24 hours
Protection of 150 acres of lakes and streams from pollution and algae
Cleaning and restoration of 20 buildings, 57 monuments and sculptures,
21 playgrounds, and 9,000 Park benches
Management of 5,000 special events and film, television, and photo shoots
each year
