Ladies’ Black Quilted Jacket
Since their arrival, these jackets have been
jumping off our shelves. And little wondergood
quality materials combined with versatile design
makes them an excellent value. Fleece inside and
a windproof, weather resistant exterior combine
to keep you warm on those days when you can’t
tell whether that stuff coming out of the sky is rain
or snow. For a little extra protection, the collar
flips up, the bottom edge has a draw string and
the cuffs have a velcro adjustment strap that seals
them up against the wind. All this and they’re
good looking too- dark blue with a beautifully
embroidered Legion Logo.
Usually when a sample for a new product comes in,
our product development team immediately starts a
list of things that need to be changed before we can
go to production, and a second sample eventually is
produced to respond to the list of changes. The day
it arrived, this cardigan was just right. We looked
and looked at every detail and try as we may, a list of
changes was not happening. It is a great colour. The
weight of the fabric is right. The buttons are right. It
has excellent bound pockets and ribbed cuffs. The
neck binding is great, and the sizing is excellent. All
we had to do was add the embroidered Legion Logo.
We’re sure you’ll be as happy with it as we are.
Every now and again you’ll buy a garment that
you don’t know how you got along without. You
find yourself wearing it all the time. This is one of
those garments. It’s dressier than a fleece jacket,
but just as warm. The waffle quilt pattern bridges
that gap between casual and dressy. It has a classic
cut and the detailing is exceptional. The cuffs can
be turned up and the seam is finished so that it
doesn’t look scruffy. Side seam pockets aren’t
the shallow ones just big enough for your hand,
they’re actually big enough to put something in.

We are confident that these fully lined
spring jackets will be really appreciated
by our members at the very economical
retail price of $34.95. The shell of these
jackets is made of a heavy textured nylon
while the lining is lighter for comfort.
Our Legion Badge is embroidered 4”
high on the left-front in full colour.
Legion gold and blue piping has been
used to nicely accent the collar and wrist
bands. The jackets are finished off with a
good zipper and lined pockets.
Very often we find ourselves using a
garment in a way it was not intended
for, the typical example being a zip-out
fleece liner for a coat ending up as a
jacket unto itself. With this comfortable
fleece jacket, you will no longer need to
do that. This jacket is luxurious, heavy,
Legion blue fleece with ribbed knit
waistband and cuffs, a heavy duty zipper
and ample kangaroo style pockets. The
Legion Logo is beautifully embroidered
on the left chest.
Styles come and go, but there are some garments that transcend
the flavour-of-the-day mentality of modern fashion. Our club
jacket rises to meet that higher standard. Behind the embroidered
Legion Logo is a classic jacket that you will be proud to wear. Our
product development team was uncompromising when it came
to the features found in this warm durable coat. The lining is the
heaviest available. The sleeves and the pocket edges are leatherlike, reducing the effects of wear. The collar, cuffs and waistband
are heavy duty ribbed stretch knit, and the zipper and snaps are
metal, not plastic. We were not looking for the lowest priced jacket
we could find, we were looking for value- and that’s what we
found. We’re sure you’ll appreciate it.

worlds—the glove-soft feel of fine leather combined with the easy

Ladies` Denim Jacket
Men`s Denim Jacket
The ladies’ denim jacket is a traditional
fitted cut with buttoned flap top pockets
and slash side pockets that are hidden
in the side seams, traditional collar and
cuffs, and has metal buttons with keyhole
buttonholes rather than a zipper. The
fabric is as blue denim as you can get, with
a little stretch for comfort. This is a jacket
that you’ll put on in the morning and
won’t want to change out of, even for an
outing in the evening.
The men’s jacket is a classic, no-nonsense
straight cut, with many of the same
traditional features- metal buttons and
keyhole buttonholes (no zipper) top flap
pockets and slash pockets on the front,
and real, blue jean denim colour. The
men’s jacket, however is enhanced with
a comfortable, light fleece lining with an

For several years now the Supply
Department has offered a selection
of quality 100% cotton golf
shirts. Now, we are introducing
an industry innovation in sports
wear- microfiber. There are two
new designs, a blue golf shirt with
embroidered Legion Logo and a red
and white one embroidered with
a “Canada” and Maple Leaf motif.
Both shirts are made with Microfiber
material. Microfiber is a preferred
material for sportswear because it
wicks moisture away from the body
rather than absorbing it, keeping the
wearer cooler and drier. We’re sure

VIMY RIDGE, 1917

BIRTH OF A NATION
On Easter Monday, April 9, 1917, 100,000 Canadian soldiers stormed and captured Vimy
Ridge in France. It was one of the great victories of World War I. Although the cost to
Canada was high - 3,600 dead and more than 7,000 wounded - historians say this victory
marked the birth of Canada as a nation. It was the first battle in which all units of the
Canadian Army fought together, and their success was overwhelming.
After the war the Canadian government determined the battle should always be
remembered, and decided to build a monument at Vimy Ridge. Reaching 40 metres into
the sky, the Vimy Memorial is made from 6,000 tons of white limestone. Resting on it are
20 figures that represent Canada’s soldiers and the principles they gave up their lives for.
The Members of The Royal Canadian Legion join with their neighbours across the
country to express our gratitude towards all members of the Canadian Forces, past and
present, by celebrating the courage and commitment
of those brave Canadians who fought and won the
impossible victory at Vimy Ridge.

At the darkest hour before the dawn on
11 November 1918 a train car sat in a forest 50
kilometres north of Paris. Inside, a treaty was
signed to end hostilities that had ravaged
Europe for more than four years. Six hours
later, at the 11th hour on the 11th day of the
11th month, the guns fell silent. It was the
beginning of the end of the Great War, the
“War to End All Wars.”
As the news spread, there was celebration in
some places, but at the “Front,” where soldiers
stared at each other across “No Man’s Land,”
no one cheered. For certain, they were happy
to still be alive, but all around them, as far
as the eye could see, lay devastation beyond
belief. Culture in Europe, centuries in the
making, lay in ruins. Eight million people had
been killed. Those who survived laid down
their arms and returned to their homelands
with memories of fallen comrades—
memories that would never leave them.

Subsequently it grew to become an annual
tradition, increasing in significance after
World War II.
Canada was profoundly affected by the
events of World War I. A generation of young
Canadians had experienced life changing
events and had seen their comrades perish.
Even those Canadians who did not go to war
were affected by the loss of friends or family
members. The tradition of Remembrance,
and its perpetuation, on 11 November grew
out of the grief we feel and our need to care
for those who return from war and whose
lives are changed forever.
Today, more than 90 years after order and
sanity was restored to a world of chaos and
desperation, we are reminded of the sacrifices
that were made and are still being made,
summed up in the Royal Canadian Legion’s
enduring motto—Lest We Forget.

D-DAY 1944
For Canada, events that took place during the First World War
were defining moments. Canada grew into nationhood, and
those who served in the Canadian Armed Forces at that time
earned a peerless reputation of courage and commitment. Two
generations later, Canadians still recognize that those who served
and those who died are owed a debt that can never be repaid.
Now that the last of the Canadian Veterans of the First World War
has passed away, it is even more important that we ensure that
the memory of their sacrifices will never be forgotten. 628,736 of
our fellow citizens stepped forward to serve. 66,573 of them died.
The Royal Canadian Legion will always Remember.
Of all the significant events of the 20th
Century, the Normandy Invasion on 6 June
1944 was the most important, changing the
course of history. It marked the beginning of
the end of Nazi rule in Europe and ultimately
led to the development of the modern world.
Canada made a major contribution to the
D-Day attack by taking responsibility for
one of the five beachheads, known forever
afterwards as Juno Beach. 14,000 Canadian
troops by ship and 450 by parachute landed
in the early hours of that fateful day,
supported by the Royal Canadian Navy and
the Royal Canadian Air Force.

and democracy, not only for ourselves but

The producers of the D-Day Collector
Cards have introduced another item
of significance to the Tradition of
Remembrance- a Teacher’s Resource
Kit. The kit comes in a compact binder

lesson plan is composed of 11 teaching
modules based on the Collector cards

VICTORY DAY
Considering the profound impact that the events of the Second World War has had in shaping
the modern era, it is little wonder that there was such great celebration in allied nations when
victory over the axis powers was announced. After 6 years of devastating conflict, in all of the
allied nations citizens and military personnel alike were all overjoyed at the prospect that victory
was finally at hand. Time has passed but the memories have not faded. The Legion Supply
Department is commemorating Victory Day with a collection of three popular items marked with
the distinctive victory “V” design. Since the end of the war in Europe occurred earlier in 1945 than

careful attention was devoted to
make sure that the Poppies on our
suncatcher are the real Flanders
Poppy (Papaver rhoeas). We
focused the same attention on
quality and durability as well.
We could have reduced cost
by using a lesser grade of glass

Glass Christmas Ornament
A nice part of offering this Legion Christmas
ornament was learning just how glass balls are
made. The Badge on this 3” diameter glass ball was
hand-painted then reproduced onto flat sheets of
glass. The flat sheets are then formed into spheres and
the eyelet is added. These balls are supplied in a heavy
material covered fibre board box that is suitable for
storing the ball until next year.

branches an inexpensive means to show support for the youth of
their community.

Gym Bag
Calling this a Gym Bag is really just a convention. These bags,
while they may have been designed to carry gym clothes, are
exceptionally versatile in their usage. When our product research
team decided to add this item to our inventory, the qualities they
put at the top of the list were durability, usefulness and simplicity. It
has all the features you need, like nylon web handles, a detachable
shoulder strap, a gusseted end pocket, a flat side pocket, and
a double zippered top opening for easy access to the inside
of the bag. What it doesn’t have are a lot of fancy little loops or
attachments that don’t do much other than drive up the price.

year, it is traditional to display Poppy arrangements. What
is surprising is how few arrangements resemble the actual
Papaver rhoeas (or Flanders Poppy). It took the manufacturer
of these arrangements a full 8 attempts before we were
satisfied that the silk Poppies were a close enough match
to the Papaver rhoeas. Additional authenticity is provided
by added greenery that is common in the wild. This
arrangement comes completely assembled in the 7” ceramic

Vimy Lantern
This is a reproduction lantern originally issued to
Lieutenant Charles Henry Boothe who served in WWI with
the 198th Battalion Canadian Buffs. These lanterns were
issued to many Canadian servicemen in WWI. A critical
feature of these lanterns was their ability to fold and fit
into the included tin case. The lantern itself measures 3” by
3” and is 5½” high, includes a chain for hanging, real glass

Crystal Decanter with Legion Badge
This genuine crystal decanter has been etched with our Legion
Badge. Etching is permanent and provides excellent detail. The
29oz decanter has a traditional square profile and is most suitable
for spirits. It is made in Slovakia with a minimum 24% lead oxide.
Lead was first introduced to the glass mixture about 300 year ago
since it helped lower the melting temperature of the glass from
1100 to 800 degrees. This was critical as wood was used as the fuel
to heat furnaces in that period. It was soon learned that the lead
also made the glass softer and easier to cut. The oxide also provided
excellent light refracting properties which make the crystal sparkle
once it has been cut and polished. This majestic decanter measures
over 9 ½” in height.
Bohemian Wine Carafe
Bohemian crystal dates back to the 15th century in a region
which became known as the province of Bohemia. Their crystal
is considered by connoisseurs to be the best crystal in the world.

candle light that is made in the Netherlands specifically for this
purpose. The Stormy Weather Graveyard Light was introduced
in 1963 by Bolsius, a family-run company that started in 1871.

they grow today, poppies are seen as a reminder of fallen

Solid Wood Urns
With regularity we have been asked for digital artwork so that
an urn may be produced for a deceased member. It is these
requests that have prompted us to offer this Canadian made
line of solid wood urns. Essentially two styles are offered here
with the Victoria model available with or without an insert for
a photograph. Overall the Victoria model measures 9½” x 9½”
x 9½”. The Winchester measures 7¾” wide by 11½” long and
6” high. Both models are available in solid walnut or alder. All
urns have been custom laser engraved on the top with a 3”
Legion badge.

Legion Tribute Urn
We introduced this urn a couple of
years ago, impressed with its beauty
and simplicity. The need to secure a
new supplier recently offered us the
opportunity to improve its quality and
value. We are now making this beautiful
urn in solid black walnut with a classic
rosewood finish, and the same gold filled
laser engraving that attracted us to it in
the first place. The size is unchanged at

Overall the Poppy
casting measures 3¾”

Both castings have
an integral tab cast into the marker for fixing to a
headstone. The markers can be permanently fixed
to a headstone by drilling a ¾” bore hole (⅝”
deep), filling the hole with epoxy, and inserting
the cast tab. We suggest that a professional
perform this after consultation with the
cemetery and headstone manufacturer. If you
do not wish to bore a hole in the headstone, the
tab may be cut or ground off and silicone or other
permanent adhesive may be used.

Here are the required steps to shape a beret:
Blue Beret (with badge)
1.Start by cutting out the lining of the beret to reduce bulk and
ease shaping. If you are not shaping the beret it is better to
leave the liner in.
The Legion Beret is an intrinsic part of the Legion Uniform. It clearly
identifies an individual as a member of our distinguished organization.
The Supply Department takes pride in providing a quality product
to serve this critical function. These berets are solid navy blue with
an embroidered Legion badge mounted on the front. They come in
adjustable sizes; small, medium, large and extra-large. Recently the
Supply Department has improved the quality of the beret by working
with our supplier to secure a source of Australian Merino Wool, which
is the ultimate in wool fibre. It is in high demand due to its resistance
to pilling, excellent colour retention and wearability. Merino wool has
been produced continuously in Australia since 1797, when a flock of
Spanish Merino sheep were brought to Sydney by two British Military
Officers and sold to local landowners. Among them was Elizabeth
MacArthur who became a legendary figure in the Australian Merino
wool industry.
2.Form fit the beret. Soaking the beret before donning it
will help stretch the wool and form it to the wearer’s head.
Most of the beret’s material should be pulled down so it
drapes over the right ear. The cardboard stiffener should be
centered over the wearer’s left eye so the headband is about
two finger-widths above the eyebrow. Pinch the cardboard
stiffener so that the wool dips down behind it. Tie the two
laces in the back in a non-slip knot for a snug fit, then cut off
the ends of the ties.
3.Dry the beret – by just wearing it until it dries.
The beret is worn with the band one inch above the
eyebrows, the beret crest over the left eye, the beret pulled
back and smoothed to the right side.

Dominion Convention 2010 authorized the creation of Branch
and L.A. Service Medals for members of the Branch and of
Ladies Auxiliaries to the Branch to recognize the significant
volunteer and service work accomplished by members of your
Branch, outside of or prior to their acceptance of leadership
positions. The authorizing/approving authority is designated
as the Branch Executive Committee (in the case of the Branch
Service Medal) or L.A. Executive Committee (in the case of the
L.A. Service Medal) and/or respective General Membership
Meeting. Qualifying criteria are the responsibility of the
branch or L.A. Qualification for the Service Medal should be
a significant level of service provided by the member to their
Branch/L.A. It may be awarded in addition to any awards/
medals previously received by the member. Branches and

The Royal Canadian Legion has a proud tradition of service to Veterans and their families, and to the communities in which

We recognize that obtaining a good quality plaque at a reasonable price has been difficult
for you. Customizing the plaque for Legion use proved difficult when digital artwork
was required and in the end you had a product made of some composite material, yet
it seemed like you were paying for a precious metal. The difficult part for us has always

Tribute Ceremony Candle
In recent years there has been a type of ceremony that has been growing in popularity in some
regions of the country. This service, called Candlelight Tribute Ceremony, was started in the
Netherlands in 1995 when Dutch children placed lighted candles on the graves of Canadian
Soldiers, leaving them burning overnight in silent tribute to the fallen. Since that time, these
tributes have spread across Europe, and were introduced into certain areas of Canada.
In response to an increasing number of requests for a candle that would suit this purpose, the
Supply Department has selected a candle light that is made in the Netherlands specifically
for this purpose. The Stormy Weather Graveyard Light was introduced in 1963 by Bolsius,
a family-run company that started in 1871. The simple yet elegant design of these candles
features a 100% pure refined paraffin candle, contained in a durable translucent red plastic
shell with a flame-proof, weather resistant metal cap. Suitable for outdoor use only, this 5
inch high candle is easy to light and will burn for 50-60 hours, in temperatures from +25 to
-10 Celsius. The subtle glow of these candle lights, especially when used in numbers, creates a

The Supply Department is pleased to

to Branches and Commands. It is now possible
to order custom made lapel pins for your
branch, zone, district or command. Illustrated
are the standard formats available that can be
customized with branch name, number, special
event or anniversary, or other significant
information. Ordering is simple. Just choose
your design and call the toll-free Supply Order
Desk telephone number. Our design staff will
prepare a proof for your authorization before
production is started. Design elements such as
colour and shape can be modified to suit your

Jumbo Remarkable Cheque
This Jumbo Re-markable Cheque wasn’t on our radar at all
until one of our branches suggested it. The need for this item
arises from the fact that a wealth of charitable donations are
made by you, the Branches of the Royal Canadian Legion. While
we cannot ship out large flat cheques, we can produce the
remarkable portion of the cheque that would not be economical
for you to have made. These reusable templates are 36” wide
by 16” high. You will receive these templates rolled up with the
intention that you will locally obtain foam core or Coroplast to
mount them on. This can be done with any contact cement or
adhesive. The cheques can then be reused like any white board
or remarkable material.

frustrating part is the inserted paper pads often require a size of
paper pad only available for the cost of and arm and a leg from a

This line of greeting cards has been produced in-house
by The Royal Canadian Legion’s own Patrick Riley.
Comrade Riley created these images using authentic
WWI uniforms supplied courtesy of Canada’s War
Museum. These are economical because they have
been produced in-house with the printing arranged
locally. Sold in sets of 10 or a sample pack, 2 of each,
these cards are priced quite affordably when compared
to the $4 and up charged by others for a single card.
The cards have been printed on brilliant white 80 lb
card stock and are supplied complete with envelopes.
Another nice touch is the fact that the interior of the
cards has been left blank. We thought you, like us,
would prefer to include a personal note rather than an
impersonal statement written by someone else. One
card, “All Occasion” has been intentionally left untitled
for use as you see fit. English only.

Recruitment Awards
Membership does matter. Recruitment of new members is the
lifeblood of the Legion. To assist in this all-important endeavour,
the Supply Department has responded to a request from the
Membership Committee with a selection of awards exclusively for
use by branches. The Membership Committee encourages your
branch to use these awards as incentives for your members to bring
in friends or colleagues who will become members themselves.
These awards, while affordable for the branch, are prestigious
because they cannot be resold by the branch, nor can they be
bought by an individual. The criteria for awarding Membership
Recruitment Awards are determined by the branch, so there are
no bothersome applications, forms or reporting to deal with. If
your Branch Executive or Membership Chairperson would like
more information, please contact either the Membership Section
or the Supply Department for assistance.

outdoor use. It is made in the style and material
of a license plate, but at 5 ½“ x 11” it is slightly

B. Legion Badge Sign
This badge has been specially made of a durable poly-resin suitable for outdoor use.
The colours are permanent and fade resistant. The finish is designed to endure severe
weather conditions and is washable and repaintable. Included with the badge are
instructions and mounting bolts that fit into threaded fastening holes in the back of
the badge. Unlike its much heavier metal counterparts, this badge weighs in at 7.5
kg (16.5 lb), making it useful in many more applications and considerably reducing
installation challenges.

This comfortable cotton twill apron allows
the server to keep everything handy in its
four deep pockets. The apron contains two

Coasters with Legion Badge
If you have tried to obtain custom made
coasters you probably soon realized
that they are prohibitively expensive to
buy in small quantities. Only when tens
of thousands are ordered does the cost
become reasonable. These packs of 100
coasters are custom made for The Royal
Canadian Legion with our Badge nicely
displayed in the centre. We ordered enough
to make them economical. At just under
10¢ apiece it is now affordable to place
a “Legion” coaster under the glass of a
member. Though these 3½” coasters, made
with an extra heavy 40 point stock, are not
defined as reusable, they certainly are thick
enough that they can be reused until they
start to show wear. We specifically ordered
these coasters with a blue background in a
heavier weight to allow them to be reused.
Although intended primarily for Branches,
members may also obtain these coasters
for use at home.

Vinyl Gauntlets (shown at right)
These are blue and gold cloth armbands
with an elastic panel on the inside of the
arm, so that they will fit over the sleeve
in both winter and summer. Worn on
the left upper arm.
White gloves are always susceptible
to getting stained when handling a
flag and pike on parade. They are also
less than comfortable in inclement
weather. These vinyl gauntlets can be
wiped clean, and are weather resistant.
They are unlined, so they can be worn
in warm weather, but also can be worn
over another glove for warmth in
winter.

Sgt-at-Arms Sashes
Sgt-at-Arms sashes are another item where we felt we could do better in terms of
value. These sashes are virtually identical to the ones we have been offering for years
except that the Legion and Ladies Auxiliary badges are embroidered instead of the
mounted plastic badges. We happen to think the embroidered badges are preferable
and at half the price we are certain you’ll find these do in fact represent much better
value. The Legion sashes are available in three sizes while the Ladies Auxiliary is
available in the smaller two sizes. What we describe as Short, Medium, and Tall has
internal circumferences of 49” (short), 61” (medium), and 69” (tall). If you are uncertain
about size you may use a cut piece of rope or fabric measuring tape to determine
which size is most appropriate. What we now describe as medium is the size of the
sash we previously offered.

These white gloves are made from a washable
100% nylon. The nylon is a stretchy variety
allowing one size of glove to fit all users. A
single snap at the wrist insures a secure fit. The
gloves are accented by three lines of stitching
down the back of the hand.
There are plenty of cheaper slings available,
but they cannot compare in value with
this product. It is made from white leather,
heavier than belt weight, constructed with
heavy duty stitching and rivets. Lesser

Server’s Tray
Legion
Chaplains
provide
countless
hours of volunteer service to branches
and commands. It was suggested that
a stole be made for wear by a Chaplain
performing this critical role in The Royal
Canadian Legion. This non-denominational
stole is made with an ultrasuede front
and cotton/polyester backing. Both ends
of the stole are fringed and embroidered
with the Legion Badge. This stole is our
own exclusive design and is being made to
our specification.
Serving in a Legion clubroom or Branch bar
requires both skill and the right equipment.
Handling a tray full of drinks is not as easy as
it looks, but using a tray designed specifically
for that purpose makes the task easier. The
Legion Server’s Tray is manufactured in
Canada for the Legion by a company that
specializes in restaurant supplies. It is made
of thick, high impact black plastic, rigid
enough to handle a full load of drinks and
stand up to the intense wear and tear of a
bar. The 12” x 14” oval is just the right size
and is attractively stamped in gold foil with
the Legion Logo.

We have made the transition to flags using grommets replacing
rope and toggle. Grommet clips are available in the flag accessories
section of our annual catalogue. All colour party flags are available

There are several components to a complete flag unit. There is the
obvious flag, pike, pike top and stand. Offering sets including all of these
components only results in forcing you to settle for something that is
close to what you really wanted. This is why we are now distributing all
flag components separately. All components are compatible with a few
exceptions. The acorn tops will not fit on the wood pikes and the 1¼” wood
pikes will not fit in the economy stands or angled wall bracket. Aside from
these exceptions, the balance of tops will fit on any of the pikes.

Pikes are now available in a full range. The 1¼” diameter oak pike will
not fit into the economy stand or angled wall bracket. All pikes are
the standard 8’ in height. The wood pikes thread together where the
aluminum pikes contain an internal spring clip to hold them together.
Pike tops, flags, and stands must be ordered separately. All pikes are
supplied with the required “C” clips to hold the flag in place. Wood pikes
are supplied with only one “C” clip as this is all that is required. All metal
pikes are shipped with the required and installed wood plug necessary
to mount all pike tops.

The premier stand is constructed with a collar to fit a 1¼” diameter
pike but includes a piece of plastic tubing allowing it to be used with

rods for stability rather than weight. The folding stand will only

required to attach flags with grommets to
the halyard (hoisting rope) on flagpoles.

High quality Shuffleboard rocks are essential to consistent play.
Shuffleboard rocks are also referred to as shuffleboard pucks or weights.
Sun-Glo Professional Grade (Spangler) pucks have patented thumb
push-offs. Spangler pucks are high-polish solid stainless steel (not

Legion Uniform Tie, Silk
Legion Bandana
NEW! The Legion uniform tie is now available in 100% pure silk. Silk is a remarkable
natural fiber, commercially obtained from the cocoons of the larvae of the Mulberry
Silkworm (Bombyx mori). It is one of the strongest natural fibers known and the
cloth is soft and durable without being slippery like synthetics. These
characteristics make it an excellent material for making neckties.
The Legion Silk Tie is produced in exactly the same Legion
colours as the Polyester version.
The bandana has the attraction of being an extremely
versatile item of clothing, uses ranging from a
handkerchief, headscarf, neckerchief, a means of carrying
a bundle of goods, a bandage or a sling, sun protector,
babies’ bib, duster, potholder and dust-mask to
name but a few. The Legion bandana certainly
satisfies all these needs. It is a 100% cotton,
22” square, with finished edges. Beyond

Glass Tankard with Pewter Badge
This 15 oz (440ml) glass tankard is made by Arc
International, which is based in France and is one
of the oldest and finest glass companies in the
world. Started in 1825, it has been owned by the
Durand family since 1916. The classic tankard shape
is enhanced with a 2 inch (10cm) cast pewter Legion
Badge. This tankard is an excellent choice for special
presentations, as it can be engraved. It is suitable for
daily use and is dishwasher safe.
Our supplier, Pewterglass, previously known as Presstar, is a privately owned Canadian company that has
been in business for 20 years making quality pewter
products. All of their products are hand cast and
hand polished using lead free pewter. This pewter
is Canadian made by AIM metals in Montreal. All
Pewterglass tankards come with a signature pewter
thumb tab.

Soft-Shell Jacket
Since their arrival, these jackets have been
jumping off our shelves. And little wondergood quality materials combined with
versatile design makes them an excellent
value. Fleece inside and a windproof,
weather resistant exterior combine to
keep you warm on those days when you
can’t tell whether that stuff coming out of
the sky is rain or snow. For a little extra
protection, the collar flips up, the bottom
edge has a draw string and the cuffs
have a velcro adjustment strap that seals
them up against the wind. All this and
they’re good looking too- dark blue with a
beautifully embroidered Legion Logo.
