Ministry to The Sick
St. Paul’s ever-growing community has an everlasting demand for more Sacramental Ministers to the
Sick. These Lay Ministers visit, comfort, and bring
Prayer and the Sacrament of Holy Communion to
our parishioners who are in the hospital, nursing
homes, or home-bound due to advanced age or
illness. This special ministry has its roots in antiquity and has always been one of the Church’s most
important functions. It would cause Our Lord to say,
“What you have done to the least of my brethren
you have done to me.” Should you feel the Lord is
urging you to learn more about this ministry, call
728-5652.
Hearing Aid Assistance
Do you have trouble hearing the words at Mass? Do you think
the priests talk too softly? Can’t hear the song announcements? Many of us have these problems and we are missing
out on the beauty of our services. BUT THERE IS A SOLUTION. There are hearing assistance devices in the Usher’s
Room. These are small FM radios with ear plugs that pick up
the sound directly from the sound system. Ask any usher for
one when you come to Mass. Use it during Mass and turn it in
afterward. You will be surprised and pleased with how well you
can hear all that is going on at the service.
Parish Prayer Meeting
The last prayer meeting of the year will be
held on Tuesday, May 22nd at 7:00pm in the
Social Hall. Tim Craig, our guest speaker, will
be teaching on maturing in your faith. All are
welcome.
Early-bird Registration for the Diocesan Charismatic Conference, October 26-28, is available until the
end of May. Call Al and BevHartley, 728-0832, for specifics.
St. Paul’s Loan Closet
The Loan Closet is located in the Pastoral Care suite of
rooms along with the Ministry to the Sick, Blood Pressure and Catholic Charities Office. The Loan Closet provides physical aid for those who need: crutches, walkers,
wheelchairs, commodes, and bath chairs, for as long as
necessary, but should be returned when no longer
needed. Please contact the Ministry to the Sick Office at
728-5652.

Bishop Wenski will celebrate Mass on Corpus Christi, the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, at St.
James Cathedral on Sunday, June 10, 6:00pm. Following the
celebration of Mass, you are invited to participate in a Eucharistic Procession from St. James Cathedral (215 Orange Avenue in
Downtown Orlando) around the walking path of Lake Eola ending at the Lake Eola Amphitheater on Rosalind Street for Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. This Diocesan Procession
with the most Blessed Sacrament was initiated during the Year
of the Eucharist and is a very beautiful opportunity to pray together and witness our belief in the Real Presence.
