Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction
Passion & Grace
Bhakti Dance
Based on his renowned program of
stress reduction at the University of
Massachusetts Medical School, Jon KabatZinn, author of numerous books, including
Coming to Our Senses and Arriving at
Your Own Door, engages us in sitting
meditation, body scanning, and hatha
yoga, as well as practicing mindfulness
in communication and other activities of
everyday life. This is a time to renew and
recharge, explore our life at a deeper level,
and learn tools for a lifetime of well-being.

The Art of Devotional Singing
You don’t have to be a great singer to
enjoy the passion of kirtan—chanting the
ecstatic songs of ancient India. Through
call-and-response chanting, storytelling,
and dance, celebrated kirtan leader Jai
Uttal and gifted tabla drummer Daniel
Paul guide us on a journey into the
feelings held deep within our hearts.
Rather than being obstacles in our path,
we discover these emotions are the fuel to
connect us to Spirit, our eternal beloved.

Mindful Power Flow Yoga
Easy Qigong & Tai Chi
This vigorous workshop, for people at all
levels of ability in yoga, is a wonderful
way to develop strength, serenity, and
flexibility. A dynamic blend of sweat and
spirituality, the practice of vinyasa flow
yoga emphasizes the linking of movement
with breath, cultivating our ability to
awaken to the present moment. From this
place of spacious awareness, seasoned
vinyasa flow yoga teacher Naushon
Kabat-Zinn encourages us to explore how
our yoga practice can help us live a more
peaceful life. Bring your own yoga mat.
naushonyoga.blogspot.com Week 1
With Steven Michael Pague, longtime
codirector and host of Omega’s winter
programs, we work, cultivate, and play
in the wonderful mystery of qi. Through
easy-to-learn yet profound movements
and meditations of qigong and tai chi, we
begin to discover how to access “the elixir
within,” our inner medicine. Together,
we cultivate a foundation of practices
that can be readily duplicated at home
to increase vitality, strengthen immune
function, enhance creativity, and achieve
more harmony and balance.

Embark on a playful and devotional
dance-meditation journey! Incorporating
elements of yoga and popular dance from
North America and Brazil, bhakti dance
is based on the classical Indian dance of
Odissi, which originated in the ancient
temples of India. Guided by Brazilianborn Nubia Teixeira, we immerse ourself
in bhakti dance, “giving body” to our
emotions and prayers through mudras
(hand gestures), body movements,
gentle footwork, and abhinaya (facial
expressions). No experience is necessary,
just a willingness to experiment, express,
and enjoy. bhaktinova.com Week 1

Energy Medicine
Energy psychology is the practice of
applying acupressure for emotional wellbeing. Drawing on the traditional Chinese
medicine practice of acupuncture, energy
psychology guides us to apply physical
pressure to acupuncture points along the
body’s meridians to bring balance to qi, or
life force. Join David Feinstein, a pioneer
and leader in energy psychology, to learn
acupressure points that can help you
support emotional well-being and rapidly
overcome post-traumatic stress, anxiety,
anger, and jealousy.

A Hands-on Workshop
We all desire vitality, health, and
happiness. Joyfully guided by two leading
experts on energy medicine, Donna
Eden and David Feinstein, we learn some
of the basic methods and principles of
energy medicine to increase our energy,
overcome stress, and lift our spirit.
Through audience participation and
striking demonstrations, we discover how
much fun it is to shift our energies for
the better with simple techniques we can
easily duplicate when we return home.

The Truth That Sets Us Free
Spiritual Awakening & Sexual Delight
We each have an essential truth within
us, but we often lose touch with this
innate wisdom. Through talks, physical
and breathing exercises, and small-group
interactions, Dan Millman, author of the
best-selling book, Way of the Peaceful
Warrior, guides us to a new awareness
of who we are. We learn how to align
ourselves with the universal principles
that exist within us and let them guide
us to the life we are meant to live.

Explore ancient methods of sexual
alchemy and energy transmutation, and
wonderful ways to cultivate spiritual
awakening with Margot Anand, author
of the best-selling book The Art of
Sexual Ecstasy. We go on inner journeys
of purification, clarify our goals
regarding love and sexual delight, and
develop our inner light using guided
meditations, visualizations, breath,
movement, dialogue, and sensual inquiry.

The Free Heart
Vinyasa Yoga
As human beings living in a conditional
world, we tend to look outside of ourselves
for perfect love, freedom, and peace.
Guided by spiritual teacher and counselor
Annette Knopp, we use meditative
inquiry, experiential exercises, and deep
communion to rediscover the natural
love, clarity, and space that is already
present at the core of our being. As we
discover our free heart, we make peace
with all aspects of reality and let go into
“present-moment-openness” and authentic
connection with ourself and others.
thefreeheart.com Weeks 3, 4
Join Gina Norman, director of
Connecticut’s Greenwich Yoga, for a week
of unwinding and relaxing through the
powerful practice of vinyasa yoga. With
a focus on alignment, adjustments, and
plenty of practice, we establish a strong
foundation in postures, pranayama
(breathing), and meditation. As we deepen
our knowledge of our body and breath, we
are left feeling rejuvenated and inspired.
