Are you still searching or are you already covering?
+ If you don’t want to look through many confusing offers, and would like to simply
choose from over among 36 unique colors of opaque, transparent, pearl and metallic…
+ If you want to appreciate a cover that is made with a unique dual process coating
system which creates superior opacity especially with lighter colors…
+ If you would prefer a malleable polyester based covering, that allows the wingtips to
be ironed crease free…
+ If you would like to take advantage of a soft back protective foil and avoid creases in
the covering material when removing the back foil…
+ If you like working with low temperatures that can be used effectively on materials
such as foam….
+ If you are tired of covering materials whose glue is not really fuel resistant…
+ If it is important to you, that when you remove a covering material, all the glue comes
away with it…
+ If you really don’t like that after a period of time the covering material becomes loose
and starts to bubble….
+ If you think it is an advantage that you can completely cover a medium size model
with 1 roll (80 x 200 cm) which means you have up to 25% more material….
+ If you would like a covering material that is only 85g/dm
2
in weight or the lite version
2
that is only 63 g/dm in weight…
If you are looking for a 10-Good-Reason-Covering material then
AeroKoteTM and AeroKote-LiteTM
is the right answer for you.

Esprit VF-II Electric ARF
Have you dreamed of building and flying a sleek, aerobatic, composite
construction aircraft? With Esprit VF-II you can fly 175 knots while
commanding a wingspan of 6090 mm (20'). The Esprit has won many awards
and as a home built aircraft assembles in 1500-2000 hours. The Swiss designer,
Valentino Fry is not only an innovative designer but also an accomplished fullscale aerobatic and RC model pilot.
KAVAN's semi-scale Esprit is for the model pilot; a little smaller but with similar beauty and energy of the full-scale
airplane. Likely the World's largest mass produced Depron ParkFlyer, Esprit uses manufacturing techniques to ensure
maximum strength with minimal weight. Factory joined fuselage halves with internal bulkheads and foam wings
with internal ribs all factory painted. The slightly nonsymmetrical RIZ 1-30-15 airfoil is good for sport aerobatics
while providing the model with gentle flight characteristics. For flexibility, the battery tray is mounted on the center
of gravity so you can use Li-Po or "normal" cells without having balance problems. The battery is easily removed by
lifting the canopy. The undercarriage is made of sturdy steel wire and aerodynamically covered with Depron. For
grass field landings the wheel pants can be easily removed. Removable wing for convenient transport. The firewall
will accept a variety of motors from normal brushed motors with gearbox up to brushless Outrunners. A unique
ParkFlyer with excellent flight characteristics that will excite the field and help satisfy a dream.

Ford Tri-Motor „FLOYD BENNETT“ with Skis Electric ARF
Ford Tri-Motor “FLOYD BENNETT” with Skis Electric ARF
On November 28, 1929, the “FLOYD BENNETT” took off from the Antarctic base Little America. Flown by Norwegian
pilot Bernt Balchen, this was the start of the historic first-flight over the South Pole, with Richard Byrd and two
other companions. Shortly after midnight on the 29th, the “FLOYD BENNETT” flew over the South Pole. Before
heading back to Little American Byrd dropped out a small American flag weighted with a stone from Bennett’s
grave at Arlington National Cemetery. The historic trip took nearly 19 hours.
“FLOYD BENNETT” a modified Ford 4-AT Tri-Motor monoplane was selected for major transport and investigative
operations in the Antarctic. The two outboard engines were the famous Wright Whirlwinds, nine-cylinder and rated
at 220 hp each. Mounted in the nose was a new powerful 525 hp radial Cyclone engine, developed by Charles L.
Lawrence, president of the Wright Company. This gave the plane a total of nearly 1,000 horsepower for great hauling
capability. The “FLOYD BENNETT” is currently on display in the Henry Ford Museum.
Our semi scale replica of the “FLOYD BENNETT” comes with both skis and wheels, which can be quickly changed
with only one screw per side. Landings are easy on both short grass and snow covered fields or with wheels on a
conventional runway.

ScrewDriver PRO Electric ARF
The ScrewDriver PRO is indeed "New & Sharp". A bit of 3D, a bit of sport aerobatics yet still a gentle flyer.
Unique design, ScrewDriver PRO offers the model pilot an uncomplicated, conventional balsa and plywood
airplane, factory covered with AeroKote-LiteTM polyester film. As compared to the original ScrewDriver, the
strengthened fuselage structure, the thicker symmetrical airfoil and the stronger included motor unit provides the
ScrewDriver PRO with greater aerobatic performance while still giving the less experienced pilot a fearless and
pleasurable feeling flying aerobatics.
Use a 4 channel radio with mixing and the strip ailerons can also function as flaps. With flaps extended it's
possible to fly the ScrewDriver PRO very slow for a model of this class, and all in all the ScrewDriver Pro keeps
it's gentle origin.
With a high number of prefabricated parts, ScrewDriver PRO is ready to fly in just a few enjoyable evenings. The
removable wing allows for easy transport.

Kadet EP-42 ARF
The legendary SIG Kadet series of true R/C trainers has a new addition - the Kadet EP-42 ARF! The Kadet EP-42
ARF is a 42 inch wingspan, 4-channel electric powered trainer with all of the great flying characteristics of the
SIG Kadet range of R/C training aircraft. If you want to learn to fly and want the convenience of flying electric,
the Kadet EP-42 ARF was expressly designed for you.
The Kadet EP-42 ARF was conceived from the ground up as the very definition of an R/C electric trainer. Oversize wing area with a high lift airfoil, all but prevents unexpected stalls and ever-tightening spins. The "tail
dragger" configuration, coupled with a long tail moment, allows instructors to teach the fundamentals of aileron
and rudder inputs, without over-control problems. In the air, the Kadet EP-42 ARF has a large speed envelope,
allowing it to be flown as slowly as needed for beginning pilots. Wind? The efficient factory installed direct
drive Super 400 motor is quiet, powerful and fully capable of flying the Kadet EP-42 ARF smoothly through most
any normal wind condition. And flight orientation is greatly enhanced with the high-visibility color schemes.
Typically SIG, the Kadet EP-42 ARF is truly a "quick build"! The fully illustrated, step-by-step Assembly Manual
takes the first-time builder quickly through each assembly step. The kit itself is loaded with high-quality innovative features, such as the factory installed "quick change" battery hatch mechanism, one-piece factory assembled
wing and a tough landing gear mounting system. Available in two color schemes, the Kadet EP-42 ARF is
meticulously covered with SIG AeroKoteTM film. Born from a legend, the Kadet EP-42 ARF fulfills the need for a
true 4-channel electric trainer.

Astro-Hog BIY
The Airplane That "WROTE THE BOOK" On R/C Aerobatics
Nothing Flies Like A Hog . . .
This legendary model got R/C aerobatics off the ground in 1957. As the first successful low-wing
R/C model, it swept the top four places at the '58 Nationals and pioneered the unlimited aerobatic capability we take for granted today. Semi-symmetrical NACA-2415 airfoil for aerobatics and
gentle stall characteristics. Obviously, the Astro-Hog is no longer competitive with today's hightech pattern planes, but it does offer the modern sport flier amazing aerobatic performances in a
super stable, easy-to-fly model. With the responsive strip ailerons, Astro-Hog will perform any
maneuver in the book, yet it flies slow enough to let you enjoy it! Ideal for 4-stroke engines.
Conventional balsa/ply construction, precision die-cut and sawn parts to speed assembly.
Complete hardware pack includes engine mount, tricycle landing gear (plans also show optional
tail dragger setup), pushrods, hinges, ABS plastic headrest, full-size plans, photo illustrated

Clipped Wing Cub 1/6-Scale BIY
In 1969 Hazel Sig, President of Sig Mfg. Co., rebuilt a standard 1941 Piper J-3 Cub for airshow flying. To increase
aerobatic performance, 40" (1 m) was clipped off each wing panel and the engine reworked for greater horsepower.
The result is a highly aerobatic Cub that is a real joy to fly! Smooth aileron rolls, snap rolls, Immelmann turns, and
many other rolling maneuvers that are difficult in a standard wing J-3. The SIG 1/6-scale model inherits all of the
delightful flight characteristics of Hazel's full-scale Clipped Wing Cub. The kit features conventional balsa/ply
construction with precision die-cut parts and a sturdy one piece wing with spruce wing struts. Complete hardware
pack includes engine mount, formed wire landing gear, molded ABS plastic engine cowl, authentic decals, full-size
plans, photo illustrated instruction, etc.

Citabria 1/6-Scale BIY
KEY FEATURES
Ideal for Sunday Flying or Sport Scale Competition
The Citabria can certainly be called this generation's barnstormer. Introduced in the early 1960s by Champion
Aircraft Corp. as a sporty alternative for private pilots who wanted something different than an all-metal "nosewheel
airplane". It was a direct descendant of the venerable Aeronca Champ. Sport fliers fell in love with the Citabria
because, even though it had more horsepower and new aerobatic capability, it is still a sweet flying Champ at heart.
This scale model of the Citabria flies just as good as the original! Its big flat-bottomed wing makes it easy and
gentle to fly. Loops, rolls, hammerheads, Immelmann turns and spins are all part of its aerobatic routine. With the
exact scale outlines of a post-1974 Citabria the SIG kit features rugged balsa/ply construction with precision die-cut
parts. The sturdy one piece wing with wing struts and built up tail surfaces assemble quickly for a scale
appearance. Complete hardware pack includes engine mount, aluminum landing gear, tail wheel assembly, molded
plastic cowl and wheel pants, hinges, authentic decals, full-size plans, photo illustrated instruction, scale 3-view

The SIG 33% Edge 540T ARF likely represents the pinnacle of true performance and quality in a dedicated, all-out
giant scale aerobatic aircraft. Strong words? You bet, but the proof is in the flying. Powered with 5.8 up to 6.8 in³ gas
engines, such as the super powerful F.P.E. 6.8 in³ twin-cylinder engine, the SIG Edge 540T will blow you away with its
radical, yet silky smooth flight envelope.
CAD designed and refined, the development of this superb model aircraft has taken place over a long period of time
to ensure that it combines the strength, performance and quality demands that are placed on giant scale aerobatic
aircraft. The aircraft ply and balsa airframe is completely laser-cut and hand assembled by a small, highly trained
group of specialists - no "cookie cutter" assembly here. Each of the hand assembled components is expertly covered
with SIG AeroKote™. The spectacular color scheme is not just beautiful; it is functional in providing highly visible top
and bottom reference in flight. To ease transport the Edge 540T has a 2-piece removable wing and 2-piece removable
stabilizer. SIG fully understands that giant scale aerobatic pilots prefer their own personal choice of wheels, spinners,
fuel tanks and certain highly specialized hardware items, so these are not included in the kit - why pay for what you
don't want or need. The fully illustrated and highly detailed Assembly Manual provides well thought out and practical
factory recommendations for most of these specialized items. Included are the canopy, fiberglass cowl, fiberglass
wheel pants and aluminum landing gear.
When the time comes to step up to the next level in performance and quality,
step up to the SIG 33% Edge 540T ARF - it's all about performance!

AX .40 BB R/C Glow Engine
The NORVEL AX-40 .40 in³ 2-stroke nitro engine is
ideally suited for a variety of R/C aircraft including
trainer, sports aerobatic, scale, and club racing. The
AX-40 is the first engine to be produced in NORVEL's
new ISO 9001 production facility. The AX-40 features
an all aluminum cylinder piston set, based on
NORVEL's popular Revlite technology. By eliminating
the heavy brass cylinder liner, NORVEL engineers
lower engine weight by more than 20%. A lighter
airplane, even a few ounces or 50 grams lighter, has
lower wing loading, which means slower landing
speeds, tighter turns, and better inverted flight and
aerobatics. In addition, a special military cylinder/
piston coating, called Sliktek™, reduces friction and
improves fuel efficiency by over 20% while delivering
comparable power.
Order No. NVLA40BBR
It is not just another engine…
Production for the AX-40 starts with a one-piece crankcase cast inside a 3D-action high-pressure steel mold weighing over one thousand pounds. A piston made from cryogenic aluminum and silicon alloy and laminated for friction
reduction is fitted into a lightweight all-aluminum cylinder with ceramic coating. At cruising speed, the piston and
cylinder fit must be precise enough to capture the energy of 200 explosions per second without creating excess
friction. Each blast of fuel and air, ignited by pressure and the glow plug, powers the piston downward to drive
the crankshaft (and propeller) a corresponding 200 rotations per second, or 12,000 rpm.
There are sixty-two precision-engineered parts in the NORVEL AX-40 dual ball bearing glow engine. Injectionmolded nylon, pressure-cast aluminum, CNC machined aluminum and steel, hard anodized aluminum, spring steel,
rubber, silicon, paraffin gaskets, and copper seals are the materials NORVEL mastered to make a glow engine.
Sixty-two parts fit perfectly together every day in the skilled hands of master assemblers, each with the authority
to halt production if an engine does not feel like NORVEL quality. Before each shipment, a sampling of engines is
put through grueling test runs to ensure a NORVEL engine's longevity will be measured in years not flights.
To many people, it may seem like a lot of trouble to go through. Why even bother when some say glow motors
might be out of fashion? What do these sixty-two parts really add up to?
Like every NORVEL engine, the AX-40 delivers by far the best power-to-weight performance for the money when
compared to any power plant of any type made anywhere in the world.
NORVEL flies longer, lighter, and faster -- for far less money.

"HA" Brushless Motors w/Offset Gearbox
Direct upgrades for GWS 300/350 & GWS 400 geared
motors. Use Order No. HG2015.XXXX to replace 280 &
370-size motors. Use Order No. HG2025.XXXX to replace
370, 400, & 480-size motors. Aluminum gear housing- no
more broken gear housings. Built-in cooling fins- no more
overheated motors. 10 x 10 mm mounting box- fits most
planes designed with GWS gearboxes. 6.6:1 gears
installed, 5.3:1 & 4.4:1 gears included- flexible power
management. Dual Ball Bearings with hardened shaftefficient and durable operation. Aluminum prop adapter
& gold connectors included.
Completely assembled - Plug & Play!
How to pick the correct geared motor?
HG2025.XXXX
First look at the motor suggestion from the plane's
manufacturer. Use HG2015 series; if the plane calls for
280, 370-size geared motor, GWS 100/300/350 series gear motor or B20S type brushless motor.
Use HG2025 series; if the plane calls for 370, 380, 400, 480-size geared motor, GWS 350/400 series geared motor or
B20L type brushless motor.
If you already know the weight of your plane, here are some quick guidelines to select the right geared motor.
3-D Aerobatic Airplanes -doing a lot of hovering - the thrust should be about 150% of the take off gross weight.
High Performance Aerobatic Airplanes - the thrust can be between 75% and 100% of the take off gross weight. For
example, if the gross weight of the plane is 300 g, your thrust needs range between 225 g and 300 g. You have
plenty of room to tailor your thrust weight ratio. Use higher thrust for performance and lower thrust for duration.
Sport Airplanes- 50% thrust to weight ratio will give you good flight performance and duration. Really? Only 50%?
Yes, the thrust to weight ratio of Boeing 747 is around 35%. It is the lift generated by forward speed that suspends
the airplane in the air.
What about gear ratio?
Remember Himax gear motors come with 6.6:1 gear set installed. This is probably the most common one to use.
However, we also include the 5.3:1 and 4.4:1 gear sets for you to swap. Installation is very simple. Use the
performance guide below and play with the propeller combination to select the optimum setup for your plane.

Universal-Timing-Tool
Change the timing of brushed "can" motors in the 300 - 480 size range.
Turning the endbell of a motor with the Universal-Timing-Tool will
change the rpm, current draw, efficiency and life span of the motor. For
example, modify a normal 300-size motor to run in the reverse direction
for a gearbox or increase the timing slightly on a neutral timed 400-size
motor for slightly more power (less duration, shorter motor life).
Optimizing a motor can reduced the brush spark and reduce the chance
of radio interference.

types of wood. The joint will undoubtedly be stronger than the
wood itself. Air dries in 20-30 minutes and sands very well.

SIG AeroPlastic
Tough, flexible ABS plastic sheeting. The .010"
(0.25mm) AeroPlastic applied with SIG Core Bond or
Kwik-Bond, makes a durable foam wing skin that will
withstand high impacts. Thicker sizes are good for
making instrument panels, landing gear parts and
other scale detailing. May be heat molded and
vacuum formed for cowlings or wheel pants.
AeroPlastic bonds to itself with acetone, butyrate
dope thinner or MEK. Use a small amount of SIGMENT to glue AeroPlastic to balsa wood. Can be
painted with Sig Supercoat Dope, epoxy paint or
enamel.
NOTE: From the factory fliers about heat forming
clear plastic or AeroPlastic sheets. The molds for
forming should be carved from balsa or other wood
and finished with several coats of fiberglass resin,
sanded smooth. Parts requiring a large sheet need a
holding frame for the plastic that can be put in an oven. Use about 300°F (149°C) heat
setting until the plastic sheet sags in the frame. Quickly remove and stretch over the mold.
Smaller parts can be made with strips of plastic, equipped with handles at each end. Heat
the strip over an electric stove element or bathroom heater until pliable, stretch down over
the mold. It helps to have the mold mounted on a post smaller than the bottom of the
pattern so that the plastic can be pulled around the bottom edge as it is being stretched.

Stinson SB-1
First enclosed cabin passenger aircraft USA 1926
The Stinson SB-1 (Stinson Biplane-1) was an enclosed cabin passenger aircraft developed in 1926 by Eddie Stinson,
President of the "Stinson Aircraft Corporation". The airplane was known as the "Stinson Detroiter" and was a four
seat enclosed cabin biplane. It had a capacity of three passengers and the pilot plus 300 lbs of freight, baggage or
mail. The plane was powered by a Wright Whirlwind J-5 engine of 200Hp. The plane was unique in that it had
heaters for the cabin, and electric starter for the engine and wheel brakes, all of these refinements were unavailable
on any plane of that time. The first test flight took place on Jan 25, 1926. The plane was an immediate success and
was the first plane of several Airlines, such as "Florida Airways" and "North West Airlines". Records show that 26
Stinson SB-1's were built between 1926 and 1928.
The Detroit News had purchased two of the Stinson Cabin Biplanes for use in an expedition to the north pole, the
purpose being to find land with the idea of claiming it for the US. Hubert Wilkins acqired two SB-1's with the
backing of the "Detroit News". He lost one of the planes about 125 miles north of Barrow and the other made it
back to Fairbanks. Noel Wein bought “DN2” for his Airline. This is the plane that we have chosen to Model.
The Model is supplied in the "Wien Alaska Airlines" or "North West Airlines" livery as standard selections. However,
it can be supplied per documentation of the model builder.
