Sean loves The Clippers, art, and his sons. When he’s not touring he calls Palm Springs home. Zander loves cats, coffee, and his girlfriend. When he’s not touring he calls Los Angeles home. Sean And Zander came together as a unit in 2007. They began sending songs back and forth to each other, craFing their unique soulful vision of Folk, Americana, Pop, Bluegrass and Gospel. Freeborn Brothers are Niko Soszynski (banjo,
drums, vocals), Matt Plesniak (accordion, guitar,
vocals) and Chris Pasieka (double bass, guitar,
vocals) and these three musicians play a
dangerous mix of musical styles overflowing with
energy and humour. Constantly touring Europe,
the band played around 200 shows in 2014 in
more than 14 countries, including stops at
Muddy Roots Europe Festival, Country Charro
Festival and Van Thom Weekender. While their
first album Two Man Orchestra (2013) featured
highly energetic songs and some spooky waltz,
the recent second collection, Gypsy Hobo Trash
Grass, is a little more melodic, bursting with
songs made with heart and soul.
The legend of vocalist Sean Wheeler (Throw Rag) and mulO-­‐instrumentalist Zander Schloss (Circle Jerks, the Weirdos, Joe Strummer) conOnues as the duo regularly tours throughout the U.S. and internaOonally. The twosome plays a hybrid of folk, country, pop, ragOme, bluegrass and gospel that includes all the frenzied energy and spirit of the duo’s aforemenOoned bands, but that is executed with a soulful dash of Americana charm not oFen heard west of the Mississippi.
