[01] AKTO @ Athens Xclusive Designers Week
Andre Anastasiou and Chloe Boubari, AKTO’s First Class
finalists, participated with great success in the 19th Athens
Xclusive Designers Week, and presented their original
creations. Andre Anastasiou’s first collection was based on
her homeland’s tradition, Cyprus, and told the story of her
[01]
grandfather who was selling traditional embroidery. Andre
gave them new life in the 21st Century by presenting them
in her new collection. Chloe Bourbari loves knitted work,
and this was her final project topic here at AKTO. Having
undertaken intense research based on spiral forms, she
was inspired by the colours of the wall paintings of Knosos
and created a collection that is flooded by orange, the colour
[02]
of sand, brown, burgundy, white, beige and khaki.
[02] Presentation of the Photographer Maria Stefosi
The Photographic works of Photographer and AKTO
graduate Maria Stefosi, were presented in context of a
series of lectures organized by the Photography Programme
on Wednesday the 16/3. Maria Stefosi was introduced by
the Programme Leader, Alkis Xanthakis, while Joanna’s
Spiliopoulou’s video art was also presented.
