PRESIDENT’S
LETTER
The “Coo Coo Nest”
Restaurant hosted a tearful
and joy filled farewell to
Pat and Nancy Harmon,
Saturday April 25th.
Our club is strong and
progressive thanks to
Pat’s leadership through
the years. Pat served
as President and Chief
Judge for many years with
Nancy’s pleasant assistance

be missed. Speaking of
former Presidents, Joe
Newell and his sweet
wife Betty hosted a tech
session at the Newell
Estates Saturday May

food and nerdy chemistry
for the studious. All this

This tech session was a great opportunity to enjoy a
drive up to Ellijay on a beautiful sunny Saturday to visit
with Joe and Betty Newell, hosts for the affair. Ed gave
a very informative presentation on The Truth About
Oil, and why Carburetors Hate Ethanol. If you missed
the presentation,

Farewell Gathering For Nancy And Pat Harmon
Submitted by John Baxa
We got our chance to send our best wishes with Pat and Nancy Harmon as they
prepared to make the move to Eastern North Carolina the last weekend in
April. Though we’ll miss them, it is hard to feel sorry for them being on the
Pasquotank River waterfront just off Albemarle Sound. The weather for the
drive before lunch looked a little “iffy” but the rain held off and the weather
was kind to the few who braved it. We enjoyed the opportunity for farewells at
the Coo Coo’s Nest in Cumming.
Current Prez John Hollier along with past presidents
Roy Cleveland, Joe Newell, and Dave Kirkman presented Pat and
Nancy with a plaque in appreciation for their service to the club.

British Motorcar Day
Submitted by John Baxa
Sunday wrapped up another
beautiful Georgia weekend with
the annual British Motorcar
Day Sunday, May 3rd. With 215
registered cars in the tree-lined
parking lot of Roswell City Hall,
there was plenty of Brit Iron to
gawk at. At one point we counted
some 40 Jaguar and Daimler
representatives. There was a lilt
of jazz in the air as the Milton
High School Jazz Ensemble
played in the afternoon. Our club had a booth with cool drinks and regalia
available for purchase which provided to a chance to meet and greet our
many friends throughout the day.
