Aramis Inc., a division of Estée Lauder Companies Inc., the beauty products company, leased
18,240 square feet of office space at T.Weiss
Realty Corp.’s Melville Corporate Center I.
The new Estée Lauder/Aramis space at 105
Maxess Rd. was previously leased by the Garden City Group, a division of Crawford & Co.
The space is less than one-half mile from Estée
Lauder’s other corporate facilities in Melville,
on Pinelawn Road, Corporate Center Drive
and S. Service Road. The company’s executive
offices are in midtown Manhattan at the GM
Building.

Letter from the CEO
The Argument For Long Island
As an advocate for Long Island and an optimist in general, I
believe the benefits of living and working on Long Island far
outweigh the problems that have been continually put forward by half-empty prognosticators. The reasons that
precipitated the development of Long Island by our parents
and grandparents still hold true today, but need to be reidentified and vocalized, so that we remember why we
chose to live and work in this special place.
1. Long Island is geographically unique—we are just a
stone’s throw from the world’s greatest city, yet still have
access to beautiful beaches, parks and wildlife preserves.
2. This island is home to vast supply of highly educated
workers and a population that has always been committed

to the education of it’s youth.
Cultural diversity flourishes here, bringing about an environment of global awareness necessary in today’s environment.
Long Island’s local governments are able to truly represent their local constituency, giving
us a much more granular feeling in our communities. Long Islanders have a lot of say in
how our government is run.
Long Island is a source of cutting edge technology, supported by some of the world’s best
research institutions—Cold Spring Harbor Labs, Brookhaven National Labs, Stonybrook
University, State University at Farmingdale, and many other of the country’s finest Universities and Medical Centers.
The above is only a small representation of the best of what Long Island has to offer. We’ve
seen an economic downturn before, and I’m certain that because of Long Island’s singular
characteristics, we’ll be seeing a complete turnaround in a short time.
Yours truly,
Ted Weiss, CEO

Above The Line and Sandler Training, a world leader in innovative sales and sales management training, has opened
up a new training center at 105 Maxess Road. For more than 40 years, Sandler has taught its distinctive, nontraditional selling system and highly effective sales training methodology, which has helped salespeople and sales
managers take charge of the process.
Owned and operated by Rich Chiarello, Sandler’s training is designed to create lasting “performance improvement”

centers, we provide continuing face-to-face support and reinforcement of the world’s
most successful selling system.
Sandler understands that business success is directly related to the effectiveness of upper and mid-level managers within an organization. Sandler’s management solutions help
managers at all levels become
more effective communicators,
better mentors and coaches, and
competent managers of change.
