2012, Nani Mau Gardens had a new owner, Ms.
Helen Koo, a Chinese-American from Los Angeles, California. Her vision and goal is to create
a place of peace and harmony for all to enjoy. A

Indoor and Outdoor facilities
Hawaii's state flower, the Hibiscus, can be seen
throughout the garden and comes in a full array of
shapes and colors. These flowers are often used
as a natural fashion accessory worn in the hair or
over one's ear. A Hawaiian custom is when you
place flowers over your right side , indicates that
you are single and looking for companionship. If
you wear it on the left side, it signifies a covering
over your heart and that you are "already taken."
Bell Tower
Palms & Coconut Trees
There is a wide variety of common and rare palms
that can be seen throughout the garden, creating an
ambience of a tropical paradise. Varieties such as
Ceiling Wax Palm, Royal Palms, Manila Palms, Alexandria Palms, Foxtail Palms and Areca Palms will
be your guide along the pathways and walkways.
The elegant Japanese style Bell Tower which was
skillfully crafted from 20,000 boards without utulizing any nails or screws, is one of only 3 towers built
using this technique, in the world. The other two
towers are located in Canada and France. The Bell
Tower stands peacefully on a quiet knoll overlooking a stream that meanders through a Golden Bamboo Grove.
