Benefit To Be Held For Voigts Next Weekend
Please support our advertisers! And let
them know you saw them in the Gazette!
A benefit golf tournament
and gala will be held next
weekend for Gwenn Voigts
of Pass Christian. Ms. Voigts
is a long-time volunteer for
the Boys & Girls Club of
Pass Christian, a past president of the Pass Christian
Chamber of Commerce, a
past president of Pass Christian Yacht Club’s Ladies
Auxiliary and has been active
with many other projects and
groups in Pass Christian and
on the Gulf Coast. She has
worked tirelessly on many
projects to improve our com-
munity, and now she is facing the biggest challenge of
her life: multiple myeloma, a
blood cancer that cannot be
cured but can be put in remission.
In July, Ms. Voigts will
travel to Houston’s MD
Anderson Cancer Center for
three months of intensive
chemotherapy and blood
stem cell transplant. This will
be a very challenging time
for her, and her friends and
family have planned a really
big sendoff to show our love
and support.
On Saturday, June 25, there
will be a silent and live auction from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.,
with music from 7 p.m. to 11
p.m. at Pass Christian Isles
Golf Club. The next day,
June 26, a golf tournament
will tee off at 1 p.m., also at
Pass Christian Isles.
For more information about
sponsorships or to register
for the tournament, contact

Pass Christian Band Has A Busy Spring
The Pass Christian School
District band program has
had a busy spring! In March,
the Middle School Advanced
Band and the High School
Concert Band participated in
the State Concert Evaluation
held at Ridgeland High
School in Jackson, Mississippi. The 52-member band
received all superior ratings
in the concert and an excellent rating in the sight read-
ing category. This is the first
time in over a decade that the
Pass Christian School District has had a band participate in the State Concert
Evaluation. Well done!
A few weeks later, the Middle School Beginning Band
took part in the Gulf Coast
Band Directors Association
Concert Festival, held at
Ocean Springs High School.
This 60-member band was
the only beginning band from
the Gulf Coast to participate
in the festival. They received
all superior ratings. Congratulations!
