Fuller Facts on Friday
Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness,
Close bosom-friend of the maturing sun;
Conspiring with him how to load and bless
With fruit the vines that round the thatch-eaves run;
To bend with apples the mossed cottage-trees,
And fill all fruit with ripeness to the core;
To swell the gourd, and plump the hazel shells
With a sweet kernel; to set budding more,
And still more, later flowers for the bees,
Until they think warm days will never cease,
For Summer has o'er-brimmed their clammy cells.
Who hath not seen thee oft amid thy store?
Sometimes whoever seeks abroad may find
Thee sitting careless on a granary floor,
Thy hair soft-lifted by the winnowing wind;
Or on a half-reaped furrow sound asleep,
Drowsed with the fume of poppies, while thy hook
Spares the next swath and all its twined flowers;
And sometimes like a gleaner thou dost keep
Steady thy laden head across a brook;
Or by a cider-press, with patient look,
Thou watchest the last oozings, hours by hours.
Where are the songs of Spring? Ay, where are they?
Think not of them, thou hast thy music too,--While barred clouds bloom the soft-dying day,
And touch the stubble-plains with rosy hue;
Then in a wailful choir, the small gnats mourn
Among the river sallows, borne aloft
Or sinking as the light wind lives or dies;
And full-grown lambs loud bleat from hilly bourn;
Hedge-crickets sing; and now with treble soft
The redbreast whistles from a garden-croft,
And gathering swallows twitter in the skies.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
We are collecting shoeboxes filled with Christmas
gifts to send to children around the world through
the Operation Christmas Child program. Would you
consider packing a shoebox for a boy or girl in need?
You can visit www.samaritanspurse.org/operationchristmas-child for more information. Boxes should
be brought to school no later than Friday, November
20. If you have any questions or need help packing a
shoebox, please contact Erica Powell at 508-9420612.
POINSETTIA FUNDRAISER
The poinsettia fundraiser was a great success last year
enabling us to raise over $1200 for our school. Our
goal this year is to raise an additional $900+. Please
share the poinsettia fundraiser page on Facebook and
ask friends, family, and co-workers if they would like
to support SFS in this way. The deadline for
poinsettia orders is Monday, November 30.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
We are in need of drivers with vans or other large
vehicles to drive down to Fall River to pick up the
2
poinsettia order on Friday, December 11 from
11:00 AM to 1:30 PM. Please contact Kim
Frankian if you can help in this way.
We are in need of a person to coordinate the
ironing and fitting/assigning of the choir robes for
our Christmas program. The ironing can be done
any time, and the fitting should be done during the
first week of December. If you can help, please
contact Alia Rivers.
SAVE THE DATE
The students will be presenting our Christmas
program this year on Thursday, December 17 at
7:00 PM in the meetinghouse at FCC. Please invite
friends and family to come celebrate with us at this
event. We will be performing:
Light of the Wor ld
a presentation of the wonderful birth of
Jesus Christ through narrative, scripture
recitation, and song.
