We had a wonderful afternoon on Saturday April 2nd with our annual Dog
Show. Thirteen beautiful contestants “strutting their stuff” around our
show ring greeting all the eager spectators with wagging tails and happy
hearts. Each dog put their best paw foreward much to the delight of everyone in attendance simply by letting them pet their heads. Our Masters of
Ceremony Jim Cumiskey announced each contestant and their handlers as
they entered the ring and he told a little bit about each furry friend.
Judges, Toyia Swaner and Jackie Daum closely observed each enthusiastic
competitor before choosing their appropriate award. The Upper Potomac
Kennel club dazzled the crowd with demonstrations of obedience and agility with their talented canine athletes. Great appreciation to Barb & Tom
Lyons for beginning our show by working the registration booth, and ending the event by handing out the “doggie bag treats” to go. Thank you
Greenlee and Jett McCullough for ensuring every dog got a fancy bandana.
Special thanks to Janae Jaskzembski for ushering the residents to and from
this program, and for taking photos. Thanks to all the residents, family
and friends for attending and making it a very successful 2016 Dog Show.
Thanks to all the staff and volunteers for your total cooperation and if we
have forgotten anyone we apologize.
Thank you,
The Activities Dept.
